Title: BRUTAL VS Big Brain - The Riftbreaker Campaign EP 5
#Riftbreaker #Game #BaseBuilding
I don’t think people like this and I don’t know why, but I like it good job!
Well when you are know mostly for one thing, not many will try and enjoy something different. Not a big deal though, that's just the way life is.
@@brothgar some do like the game the unfortunate thing is i just finished my brutal playthrough and it was my first playthrough as well i was disappointed that the "secret" ending doesnt unlock new explorable areas you get dealt the maps that you get and that's that some enemies arent even available in the campaign ...
Always a pleasure to see these release. Hope you're having a good time playing and recording these.
It's a fun game! I'm having a great time.
The way you're building your defenses, you're putting YOURSELF in the choke point!
The point of a choke point is for the enemy to be stuck in the narrow kill-zone with limited space and mobility, while you attack from a more advantageous area. As it is, you're just using the impassable terrain as just a wall, giving yourself only a more limited space to place towers.
Build your defenses BEHIND the choke points if you want to make use of them.
That being said, it isn't necessary to always use choke points and seal your base completely with walls and towers. You can instead just build defense points at strategic areas outside your base. Figure out how the AI works so you can find good places to build defense points. The farther from you base the better, since it will mean that anything behind that defense point will be safe unless the defense point gets destroyed.
You'll essentially have a hugely bigger base, without the need to set defenses around the full circumference of your base. More resources, more space, less hassle.
Speaking of hassle...it's usually not worth the time and effort making those jagged diagonal lines of walls. At most, just make 3x3 or 4x4 corners since you can quickly click-n-drag to make them. Spend too much time trying to get things 'just right' is usually much more dangerous since there's always so many things you need to do. Increasing your resource gathering and research speed is so much more important than the placement of a single wall.
I can already tell you're pretty far behind on your research for Riggs. You don't have good weapons to handle many of the enemies you're facing, especially when it comes to AoE.
@Brothgar Alien Camo takes about 3 seconds to fully activate, after which enemies will completely deaggro so long as you don't attack or receive damage. It's more or less for exploring and not open combat. Try using it to get scans of annoying critters that are super hostile on sight. So long as you don't attack... or step in acid, it lasts forever.
It's actually the strongest ability in the game that I've found personally. You just have to be less trigger happy. Oh, it doesn't work on mines though, they are based on stepping into their tiny radius as opposed to sight.
well i finished the game on normal and on brutal, campaign and survival i can say that theres almost no difference between the difficulty mode. i can say the survival would be nice if they made it like in they are billions where you fight till you lose eventually.
Also game feels rushed and many stuff are missing, it shows tthey tried to make separate extractors for cobalt and other rare materials, but they just slapped universal one in the last min, the tech tree still is missing some tech, maybe they gonna add them as dlc but i would do things differently to improve the gameplay and repeatability, for end game i would say add extra missions if you choose to not activate the quantum game, since it says change all mines to plant base harvest, also a multiplayer part would be nice since if you choose to not open the portal it says someone else will come and finish the job in your place, here we can do a pvp style where you can send waves or make the waves harder since being on the planet the longest you know how to control the planet wildlife. Just to give some ideas, have plenty more
Since you can switch between outposts they should make it like active outpost where they can get attacked and you have to go there OR i saw theres a score on each outpost DEFENSES i guess they thought they do like a auto fight bases on the scores
Try it again they have insanely increased brutal difficulty
Once you get a red flamer try putting range and spread on it for cone of inferno
:-)
DUDE
You know there a scan area (aka Radar pulse)
it under the mech suit tree. Next to the right of "mech armor standard"
100m scan. make exploring/ understand your map easier
Every upload of this I'm 🙂
Every ONI upload: 📝🧐
Brothgar, u should play into the breach, its preety straight forward and it would be easier to make videos out of it
@43:00, Astro Attack again. Lol. "Astro Man" is at it. It's nice to have stronger equipment.
U should play oxygen not included again, I really enjoyed that series and I have started to play it to.
How are things going with ONI? Also found some strange ment for dlc stuff regarding radiation, altough i dont own the dlc, its quite weird, also there are oxygen masks there too!
I have not played ONI for several weeks.
I cant finish survival on easy , is hard , campaign already beat it , still.
yo man not alotta people can actually play this game decent but you can and give good commentary keep it up👆
"I don't like these ones" unlike all the other ones which are close personal friendsp
i dident put this together tell this ep but are you clameing to be big brain XDDDD
I don't understand why you spent so much time on this map it doesn't seem worth investment.
Wallpaper = floor tiles or whatever it’s called!
dude, just keep the mouse pressed to put down tiles ':)...

I like it, big brain, keep on going. choo choo.
Love it sir. Oh and it wasn't EVERYTHING you paved over lol saw 10 spots in base lol. just mess'in. But seriously like 10. Keep up the awesome job cant wait for the next.
The main game idea is very great, but oh boy it takes a lot of time
I'm used to late game ONI, so this game plays fast to me ;)
So i noticed in the 'big' wave that the mine layer towers dont put mines on tiles with pavement - so for future reference it might be useful, where you are planning on using mine towers, to only have the tiles under the buildings proper, and/or to use the strategy on the south side of the base where the tiles pushed the acid back outside of the towers' range, then put the mine towers so they can cover the areas in between the base proper and the outer layer of tile. That's just for maximum coverage of mines from the towers though, which as it seems may not be a necessity now or later with how many spikes that turtle has got ;p
by completing the last mission of the three ore maps you can have their monsters coming at your HQ with the range of those motor snails i get my palladium from plants until i am confident in my defences
Your lack of regard for symmetry...it hurts 😃
;')
Right but more respect for him not letting it bother him. In a way jealous of that
🐢👑
Great video! I too am always trying to find better ways to build defense layout.
Why do you not use many skill slots?
I find the grenade skill is better than the grenade gun, as I can use another gun while I am launching grenades.
I'm just distracted.
@@brothgar Understandable. I am not recording while I play.
I did like your 'last stand' design. I will need that on some outposts for sure!
After I was wiped off the cobalt map a few times, I learned I need to break up my battery system.
Putting smaller battery clusters near my outer defenses so if my power is disconnected the power is not far from the towers.
Amazing series! Keep it up!!!!
