I've watched many of your coaster reviews, and I really enjoy your in-depth analysis of each element. In this one, I like how you actually showed the rider view and talked about each part of the coaster as you went through it (as opposed to just showing off-ride footage). Not only did it help illustrate your point, it was more engaging to watch. Nice job.
*Watching Apple Announcment* *Sees Taylor has uploaded a video* *Which one? I thought* *Clicks on Mako Review* This is better than the iPhone 8 announcment
This is actually my number one coaster because of the great theme and outstanding airtime. So I rate this higher than Montu, Nemesis and The smiler along with other world class coasters. But they are all brilliant in different ways and won't be fair to compare them.
I saw interviews and the reason why they went with seven instead of nine is because logically nine rows will slow it down so much compared to seven that would pretty much fly over the hills which is a better ride experience
Last time I was at Seaworld I went full marathon at the end of the day and rode like 8 times back to back. This ride NEVER gets old. Going again in a month, can't wait.
I’m proud to have this at my home park. While it barely meets the qualifications for a hyper, it is a proud display of how stats are not everything. I rode this twice the last time I went, and one of those rides was in the back (worth it, especially on a low-crowd day). Absolutely stellar coaster. 11/10 would get on again.
As of right now Mako is the only B&M hyper I’ve ever ridden, but I’m no stranger to roller coasters and how good they can get. That being said when I went to Orlando and rode Mako for my first time this past january it BLEW me away. I’m a kid in cali so my home parks are Knott’s, Disney, Sea World San Diego, and Magic Mountain, but I’ve been to quite a few more parks and different places and ridden tons of different roller coasters and I gotta say...I compare the amount of excitment and enjoyability of Mako to Twisted Collosus. It’s just so much fun! Much like on Collosus I got off Mako and rode it like 5 more times that day before we had to leave, and at the end of the day that is what designing a roller coaster is all about. It’s not about breaking all the records. It's not about how many inversions you have, or how long, tall, or fast it is, or how much airtime you can put on one. Mako is a perfect example of this. I mean yeah it's pretty tall, and pretty fast, but it doesn't excel at anything. It's a hyper coaster so it's supposed to be tall and fast. What makes Mako so great is that it took everything that makes a good hyper coaster and put it into one ride. A ride that you enjoy with your friends, family, or whoever your with, just being you and having an amazing time, and as a result...you coming off of it saying Wow! I want to do that again. Maybe in the process even inspiring us to design coasters ourselves. That’s how I felt leaving Mako... Completely awestruck every single time.
I absolutely agree. This coaster was fantastic, and may have reignited my passion for riding coasters. Amazingly smooth, great airtime. Who needs inversions anyways? Also love the seat and how it feels like you could fall out at any moment, adds to the scare factor.
This was actually my first B&M Hyper Coaster I rode and I loved it so much. One of the things things I liked about it is the lift hill and how suspenseful music plays on the way up you can even purchase the soundtrack on Itunes. I get the feeling that's been done before plenty of times though on other B&M Hyper's. I did find the safety feature which had a screen of all the rows restraints and they would light green when they were pulled down enough quite interesting it appears to have worked since someone else who sat in the same row as me seemed to have their restraint down to a safe level, but since it didn't light up they checked and said that you'll have to move to another row or exit the ride, but they chose to leave. A nice safety feature in my opinion, its probably been done on B&M Hyper's across the world but since this was the only one I've been on it's the only one to have it to my knowledge. Definitely glad to hear what you thought of the coaster though, it's become my favourite.
This is my favorite hyper coaster, smoothest coaster I have ever been on. The air time was great and the train was gliding across the track. Perfect ride 10.5/10
@@trevorclark3751 We will see about if SeaWorld goes bankrupt, a bunch of roller coaster manufacturers are issuing lawsuits against SeaWorld for missed payments. They might sort it out with paying for the rides later or getting bailed out most likely.
I really enjoyed Mako when I went to SeaWorld a few days ago! The airtime was sustained throughout the entire ride, and the ride was glass smooth, too! This is currently my favorite B&M hyper coaster I’ve ridden, and I hope to check out some more, such as Hersheypark’s Candymonium and Canada’s Wonderland’s Behemoth.
Definitely my favorite hyper coaster! I got to spend a good 4+ days at Sea World in February during a long trip, and I couldn't get enough of Mako, riding it at least 20 times, and I rode it in every row. That first big airtime hill is insane! I don't know how or why, but I would start losing my vision every single time at the top of that hill, when riding in the 1st-5th rows, but not in the back 2 rows. It was most intense in the front row. Only one other roller coaster has ever caused me to grey out, but that was with intense positive g-forces, so I'm not sure why this negative g-force moment was causing the same sensation, but I thought it was cool. The whole ride is awesome! Along the walkway, off the coaster, when the train is flying by you, dramatic music starts playing. It's the same sound snippet each time, but it's really cool for the onlookers, probably annoying for the workers after awhile.
I’ve only been on it once and I did enjoy it, those air times while I’ve felt similar in other rides felt different on this, maybe due to the different way it holds you in place.
I know this is 4 years old, but on 3:23 I think the brake is perfect. It feels like it was intentionally set (especially in the back) to launch you off your seat when you hit it and stay out of it when your going down a second later. Just rode this thing for the first time Sunday in the way back and middle and it definitely seems like that brake there was set so you can get off your seat when you hit it and stay in the air when you go right back down
You didn’t mention my favorite part of the ride: they let me set the clamshell wherever I wanted! No stapling! This made such a difference in terms of airtime. I wish all hyper ops would take their cues from SWO on this.
This is possibly my favourite ride anywhere, my Son and I have ridden so many different types of rides all over the world, but we both said, if we built our own coaster, this is what it would be like.
Florida coaster baby! AAAAAAAAAAwwwwww YEAH. Taylor, I have asked you to do florida coasters for years, and now here it is! Taylor, You are now my #1 solo youtuber! KEEP UP THE FLORIDA REVEIWS! P.S. Maybe do a florida coaster parody, please
Actually When i rode it, it hugged the track pretty well, combined with the classic smoothness of the B&M Hypers/Gigas, it is a coaster i would ride all day every day
When i rode it for the first time, i rode in the back on a night ride and it had a slight rattle but it didn't really bother me. On the restraints, I didn't know that they didn't go all the way down to your waist and so it felt more open than I'm used too. also, this was my first hyper coaster.
I been waiting for this review, and I'm typing this before watching it, and I know there going to be a lot of good things about this roller coaster, because I saw the other videos you made in the past vlogs.
I was falling out of my seat on the first drop. I was standing up, but my feet were not on the ground. I was holding on for dear life. In summary, it was awesome.
I took your advice about being on the far left when I rode Flight Deck. My cousin told me I looked like I was skimming on the pond. If I ever manage to ride this, I'll do the same thing
Mako was my first B&M hyper and it set the bar so high for me for B&M hypers that the other 2 I've ridden (Diamondback and Raging Bull) felt very underwhelming to me. They're still great rides but not to the level of Mako. I LOVE this ride. It's my number 4 coaster out of 129
Wow this looks great! Possible top B&M hyper? Least top 3? I haven't been to SeaWorld in years the only coaster was kraken but that was a really fun ride. Manta and Mako look sick, that's a pretty solid coaster lineup considering it's not a big rides park
I love the speed hills on B&Ms. I love the one of Leviathan, this one looks amazing, the one on Shambhala looks awesome too. I wish a lot more B&M hypers had this (although Leviathan is a giga coaster, there's no difference between their hyper and giga coasters, really.)
Mako is actually my very first hyper coaster experience. And so far my only one. I was very impressed and it gave me a good first impression of hyper coasters. Of course now I'm gpikgto be comparing all other hyper coasters in the future to it.
Wow perfect 10! B&M really seems to steadily improve their Hypercoaster designs. Looks like a solid, exciting ride. Also, it's great that Florida finally get a large airtime machine. They already had an impressive collection of loopers, and Mako nicely fills a gap in the state's lineup!
The reason I would like 9 cars more is because of the amazing airtime not capacity because every time I go it's only crowded for a bit cause gp rides only 1-3 times where I ride like 25
first when i read this comment i said maybe they did it for more speed since makos are the fastes sharks in the world but now when i see what other coaster braniacs commented i guess my idea was false....
Very pleased that you liked this coaster Taylor. This is the coaster I am most looking forward to when I go to Florida. When do you think the montu review will be uploaded ?
I’ve been on three hypers: Mako, Intimidator and Diamondback. Mako is the best one so far. Diamondback has a lot of rattle. Intimidator is smooth too even though it has too many trims.
The Science of Creativity I haven't ridden either, but I always seem to have a similar opinion to Taylor. IMO Ejector>Floater so I think I would prefer mako.
The Science of Creativity Is that so? I guess it probably is better then, because of home park bias. My home park is Dorney so I find most hypers to be great because Steel Force is pretty mediocre.
The Science of Creativity Yeah I unfortunately never had the chance to ride Hercules. My parents said it was crazy. I'm really glad hydra is there though. One of the most unique floorless coasters.
I remember when this was announced, I saw someone comment "Man, this seems like a step down for B&M after Fury 325, very disappointed" on top of the fact it's not the manufacturers decision how big the coaster is, I could tell just by looking at it it would be the best hyper! Can't wait to ride it in December!
Being new to big coasters. Tomorrow this will be my first big coaster. Is this good for a beginner? It looks smooth and fun. And I’ve been going to Seaworld the past 8 years. Going on 9 after a two year break
I was there last week and loved this coaster!!! Easily in my top 3 I have ridden with milliniim force, superman/bizarre at sf new England and right ahead goliath sf OG When did you ride it? Looks like same day I was there with weather
I had been to Seaworld a few times a but was too nervous to ride the coasters because of a whiplash experience I had at Canada's wonderland like 15 years ago. I heard the Mako was smooth so I gave it a try and now I'm hooked! I went back 3 times that week and must of rode it 25 times or more. ( no lines) I then got the courage to do the other big coasters in Orlando but Mako is still the best! I am planning my next Florida trip to include Busch Gardens for the coasters, also planning to do the 16 hour drive to Toronto to do the coasters at CW. I think it was a wooden coaster that hurt me so I'll just avoid those! I may also try some 6 flags parks now that I'm a huge coaster fan. Your videos will be helpful in deciding where to go!
You can avoid wooden coasters JUST DONT AVOID EL TORO it doesn't even feel like a wooden coaster it is made by intamin so its super smooth and it has great airtime
Hmm. I wonder which ones better, Diamondback or Mako? Iv'e heard they're both pretty great, and Mako seems to be pretty good based on this review! I just love watching your videos, when I'm bored or feeling down, I look forward to watching them! :) The snake, or the shark? Who..will..win.. They both do look like great b&m hypers.
I actually have to disagree with you the first time...I definitely liked mako a lot but I was actually kinda disappointed when I got off...I didn't think the airtime was as good as you say, it was still a good airtime for a B&M hyper. I would probably give it an 8, That's being said I'm not a big B&M hyper fan anyways I can still see where you're coming from thought and maybe I just got a few bad rides on it ^^ P.S. awesome video like always :)
In the que I put my own shark fact up. It was in the same style as the real one and it said "did you know that sharks will eat you?" And I shoved it in one of the frames.
I miss living in orlando. Godless, culturless peers, but you meet tons of people visiting who are so excited to be coming to your city. Its strange and weirdly unique.
I've ridden this coaster about 30 times and it's so amazing. Never gets old. Like you said the drop feels like it never ends.
Nice job.

I love Mako it is smooth, exciting, well-thought-out and it's kinda luxurious! 🦄

This is better than the iPhone 8 announcment
Underrated comment
But my comment is overrated
I couldn’t care less about the apple announcement. I CARE ABOUT THE SIX FLAGS ANNOUNCEMENTS MORE THAN APPLE!!!
This is actually my number one coaster because of the great theme and outstanding airtime. So I rate this higher than Montu, Nemesis and The smiler along with other world class coasters. But they are all brilliant in different ways and won't be fair to compare them.
Your videos never fail to make me smile. I just absolutely adore them!
It should run 9 cars instead of 7. Imagine that airtime you could get in the back row 😍
Still only my 3rd favorite in FL 😉
I think running with a shorter trains works to its advantage!
9 cars with such a good-looking drop sounds very exciting indeed :D
Are Kumba/Montu your Top 2 in FL? ^^
Coaster Hipster yes they are :)
I saw interviews and the reason why they went with seven instead of nine is because logically nine rows will slow it down so much compared to seven that would pretty much fly over the hills which is a better ride experience
Also better than the hulk this will always beat the hulk
"It's a re-rideable coaster." No joke I ride it every time I go go seaworld which is my home park btw
Same
Same here dude
Tyler Baker same
Pretty sure Florida is dangerous to live in with the animals.
i rode it like 10 times in a row
This is my favorite B&M hyper! The pacing seems faster than others!
Last time I was at Seaworld I went full marathon at the end of the day and rode like 8 times back to back. This ride NEVER gets old. Going again in a month, can't wait.

2:34 that ejector!!
It can't be as good as Skyrush, though.
MistaStoudt404 Skyrush is my favorite hyper. I haven't ridden many, though.
It’s more like flo-jector

This is definitely my all time favorite roller coaster!
I rode this monster twice yesterday! I don't know if I've EVER had that much air time, and I've been on a few coasters in my days!
Hopefully attractions like this can prevent the seaworld company from going bankrupt.
GABRIEL Sarriera SeaWorld will never go bankrupt, regardless of what PETA tries to do
Trevor Clark They are having a bit of trouble, but they're regardless doing pretty well.
Fortunately, their attendance and revenues have started to go back up in 2018. Yay! It's my home park for coasters.

B&M is stepping up their game, their newest coasters look awesome
I took your advice about being on the far left when I rode Flight Deck. My cousin told me I looked like I was skimming on the pond. If I ever manage to ride this, I'll do the same thing

Just rode Mako 5 times today and it's my favorite ride ever
5:02 Taylor’s tone in his voice is hilarious.
I feel like the hyper coasters with the 4 abreast seating arrangement definitely end up being much smoother than the ones with the staggered seating.
This is my 2nd fav hyper behind the coaster I’ve ridden most in my life--diamondback
Rode Mako for the first time yday and I gotta say...it’s the best of the 4 B&M hypers I’ve been on. Airtime was superb.
They already had an impressive collection of loopers, and Mako nicely fills a gap in the state's lineup!
well they need one more thing... AN RMC
#plzrmcgwazi
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal has decent airtime. Not perfect but decent. Of course like you said, Mako is definitely an airtime machine.
Ian Chaille Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket sux.
Bob Schneider To each their own. I liked it and the music made the ride for me.
We need a giga here that's what we don't have.
Why does B&M make their trains shorter? The first hypers had 9 cars, now some have only 7 like mako. Going for 36 to 28 capacity is a big difference!
Tomtycoon Because the Mako trains have a bulky front car
This ride is also very compact for a hyper coaster, and, outside of the opening months this ride has not used more than two trains.
The reason I would like 9 cars more is because of the amazing airtime not capacity because every time I go it's only crowded for a bit cause gp rides only 1-3 times where I ride like 25
It also makes the operations faster and I personally like smaller trains because it creates less friction which makes it faster
first when i read this comment i said maybe they did it for more speed since makos are the fastes sharks in the world but now when i see what other coaster braniacs commented i guess my idea was false....
Mako is a good ride and number one!
Despite the weather, it's nice to be a Floridian because of coasters like this within 3-hour driving distance.
I'll be hitting this up over the winter, so I'm excited to see how it compares to my favorite hyper, SFOG's Goliath!
In my opinion this is the best b and m hyper and the video showing the airtime gives me that amazing feeling of it lol
Mako is my favorite coaster
Mako was my first b&m hyper and I loved it
This is the first coaster i ever marathoned and it was great
How did you record? Was that a GoPro attached to your wrist? Excellent video and yes, Mako definitely deserves a 10!!!!
Of your ever in Orlando this is a must ride it's so smooth
I can feel the airtime just by watching that.
This is a worthy successor to Intimidator I love Mako and Intimidator but Mako wins
The Science of Creativity I haven't ridden either, but I always seem to have a similar opinion to Taylor. IMO Ejector>Floater so I think I would prefer mako.

The Science of Creativity Is that so? I guess it probably is better then, because of home park bias. My home park is Dorney so I find most hypers to be great because Steel Force is pretty mediocre.
da temeister9 i found mamba at worlds of fun better but it's cool that you can see some footers from Hercules
The Science of Creativity Yeah I unfortunately never had the chance to ride Hercules. My parents said it was crazy. I'm really glad hydra is there though. One of the most unique floorless coasters.
Love this ride!!! I have ridden it twice before but it definitely is a ride I would do every time I'm there

Awesome review! Glad to hear Mako is now your favorite hyper coaster!
YES! I knew you would love this one. Best coaster in FL as far as I'm concerned

ride was awesome
Being new to big coasters. Tomorrow this will be my first big coaster. Is this good for a beginner? It looks smooth and fun. And I’ve been going to Seaworld the past 8 years. Going on 9 after a two year break
I was there last week and loved this coaster!!! Easily in my top 3 I have ridden with milliniim force, superman/bizarre at sf new England and right ahead goliath sf OG

This is the only b&m hyper i havent ridden in north america. I will ride in a month. The hype is on
I’ve always wanted to go to seaworld and this just makes me want to go even more
man
this was my first b&m/first hyper
and im hooked
This is my absolute favorite ride in Sea World and possibly Florida
I distinctly remember in your analysis of this that you said you didn't think this would be one of the best hypers. ;D
If anything that really just proves how you truly can't judge a coaster by the animation. You have to go out and experience it for yourself!
Always the first spot I hit when I go to SeaWorld, it’s such a great ride.
Absolutely love this ride and this park!
This is my 3rd favorite ride. Soooo good. I love it!
I am going to Florida in 11 days and i have never been before so happy to get some credits and get on this
This was the best hyper coaster I've ever ridden
Ive marathoned this and noticed frequent duels with kraken. It happens during the climb, and the last half at the second brake run
My home park and my number one Coaster in FL (until Iorn Gwazi maybe) but I love that you gave this a ten for all the reason i gave it a ten!
Taylor your face during the airtime 😂

Right on! Thanks for the tip
I love these reviews you're doing! Keep it up
Hmm. I wonder which ones better, Diamondback or Mako? Iv'e heard they're both pretty great, and Mako seems to be pretty good based on this review! I just love watching your videos, when I'm bored or feeling down, I look forward to watching them! :)
The snake, or the shark? Who..will..win.. They both do look like great b&m hypers.
Good review! I really want to ride it, even though it looks kind of sluggish at the end. I don't know if that's true though.
When are you planning on going to Australia and going to movieworld and dreamworld
I actually have to disagree with you the first time...I definitely liked mako a lot but I was actually kinda disappointed when I got off...I didn't think the airtime was as good as you say, it was still a good airtime for a B&M hyper.
I would probably give it an 8,
That's being said I'm not a big B&M hyper fan anyways
I can still see where you're coming from thought and maybe I just got a few bad rides on it ^^
P.S. awesome video like always :)
I'm happy this is at one of my home parks.
Riding this next month! So excited!
This is so far my favorite B&M hyper
This review reminds me of my thoughts on Shambala. They probably took a lot of cues from it. Would make sense since there are a lot of similaritys
Why isn't it white and blue? When I think of a shark I don't think purple.
In the que I put my own shark fact up. It was in the same style as the real one and it said "did you know that sharks will eat you?" And I shoved it in one of the frames.
How long did it take them to notice?
@@VestedUTuber I don't know lol it might still be there
YESSSSSSS!!! I agree with you 100% MAKO IS THE BEST B&M HYPER COASTER EVER!!! And my Number 2 Coaster, 10/10 confirmed!
Themeparkguy Productions what's your number one coaster?
Speedy Reviews Fury 325 is my number one coaster
heading to swo tomorrow !! cant wait to get my first ride on mako
I miss living in orlando. Godless, culturless peers, but you meet tons of people visiting who are so excited to be coming to your city. Its strange and weirdly unique.
