To be fair, it's Mr. Vekoma that decided to man up, accept criticism, and actually put out good rides for a change. (though I think people were a bit unfair towards old Vekoma, the Boomerangs and SLCs were meh and ew respectively but the Vertigo and Flying Dutchman models were actually really good)
Guys it is barely a rattle. It is mainly the sound of the plastic shaking on the trains similar to pipeline. It has a slight vibration but nothing to really complain about. Yes it is there but it doesn’t matter as it doesn’t take away from the ride experience.
I agree with you here, but the 2nd launch little thump was surprising. Though I think I have found out the reason and I think it is just B&M making there radius of the turn's to tight as that is where it is the worst at on all these new B&M's.
You’re right. It’s just something that influencers won’t stop bringing up about newer rides to stir up hollow conversation because there isn’t enough subject matter of value to discuss. I rode Iron Menace last week; it was hardly anything.
People experience rattles differently. Some might notice it more than others. I, for one, tend to be more sensitive to shaky coasters. If you aren’t, that’s great! It’s worth it to acknowledge that it IS there especially for someone who might come across this video and otherwise wouldn’t know.
really? they let you in all the lines with a bag? thats very surprising. I didn't ride anything else during our most recent visit because it was just too hot- I'll have to check out some other rides next time I'm in town
We went to SeaWorld yesterday and they weren’t letting people bring bags into Penguin Trek’s line. They had bins for small items but no bags were allowed in line.
I totally agree with you when it comes to the fact that this ride was far overdue. While SeaWorld is great for thrill seekers and coaster enthusiasts, they didn’t really have a stand out ride for families outside of something like journey to Atlantis. This was a great addition for the park and I hope B&M does another family coaster like this (Without the noticeable rattle and restraints)
Standing in line for this ride right now 😂 ill give an update after Edit: it’s a fun little family launched coaster. I wouldn’t call it rattle, but it definitely has a vibration on turns (especially on the final turn into the station) but it doesn’t take away from the experience. Solid 7
I found that with Nemesis Reborn, lots of people were reporting a bad rattle, I rode it 12 times and only noticed a slight rattle toward the end of one of the rides.
@@Liight I am hoping it was just the train I was on and the row. Other reviews never mentioned it. Maybe just some adjustments are needed on the trains.
Lockers UPDATE: I visited Seaworld yesterday and riders with backpacks were turned away and told to get a locker. Only allowed fannypacks and items smaller. And we waited exactly 80 minutes for the ride to open as there were technical issues. The ride itself was excellent. 100% fun.
Great coaster for the whole family. I just wish a little more theming in regards to the arctic. Being in the intense HEAT of Florida, I think a nice windy blizzard with artificial snow would have really made the experience much better and even more popular. They could have filled up some empty spots also. Excellent ride though. Love the launches. I also think the penguin real live penguin at the end is the best part.
Fun Fact: 42" B&M's lowest height restriction to date. Most B&Ms actually have a 54" height restriction. I kind of would've preferred to have animal exhibits in the queue instead of the exit to occupy myself while waiting in line kind of like they have with Manta.
I got the chance to ride it once on a quick visit and was pleasantly surprised, especially after beating the bad reviews. I didn’t find it rough at all. Launches were indeed punchy. One cool thing that happened is my train dueled manta when we passed. Good family coaster.
One thing I will say about B&M rattles is that Kings Island is the epicenter of this issue. I love all 3 of them but DB and Banshee have really crazy shuffles in the low parts of the ride. I will say that Orion has gotten better since opening and I feel like you can see why. Look at a more recent POV of the ride and you can see that they’ve beefed up the ride foundation in certain areas. Interesting to see if Sea World has to do something similar as an eventual fix
If you told me back in 2003 when I first became a Roller Coaster fan that one day B&Ms would have a rattle and Vekomas would be glass smooth I would have asked you what kind of drug are you on... 😂
I was one of the first on Penguin Trek and also rode it opening day to the public. I can tell you from a coaster enthusiast pov there is no shake on this ride. Exact opposite in fact, it's glass smooth, kind of like Mako. If I had a complaint, it would come from my 15 year old son who called it "really nice, but underwhelming".
Been following this channel long enough to see Vekoma go from the butt of the joke to Taylor wishing he was riding one instead of a B&M because it’s smoother. Truly strange times we live in
Something like this would be a perfect addition for Cedar Point. They could probably weave a layout around the front kid sections of the park after moving a few things around. The station has an odd resemblance to Disaster Transport.
I rode it 2x and the rattle immediately got my attention, asking how can a brand new coaster in 2024 rattle? It's a shame but it's not too bad as Kraken but it's noticeable. And of course the longest exit trough the penguins is bizarre, definitely there should be an option to exit or to go to see penguins...still a good ride for kids, much needed at seaworld... Great review guys, you pointed out everything.
I wonder if this B&M model is designed for a thrill coaster with inversions. I like the single row car design makes it look different from Mack, Intamin, Vekoma.
I barely noticed the rattle on the first turn but didnt notice it anywhere else. Rode the back row. The worst thing was all the queueing up just to leave the building...

Please watch “Blackfish.” SEAWORLD should’ve been shut down decades ago. Their ongoing torture of sentient beings is criminal. When I saw this story, I became frightened. As long as SEAWORLD exists, marine animals will perish under their care. Send their captives to sanctuaries. Boycott SEAWORLD. Thank you.
It’s a shame that a brand new 2024 ride has more restrictive restraints than older models from the same manufacturer. Seems like we’re going in reverse in terms of innovation and allowing all kinds of riders to enjoy these attractions.
Idk why all the new b&m's have a smoothness issue. Watching all the reverse povs, Iron menace's rattle is absolutely unacceptable. While this "rattle" is nothing but a slight shake, both iron menace and this have a jolt in their layouts, and this is way slower, so my guess is severe manufacturing issues/defects on behalf of Clermont steel where they build the track. Regardless, both Clermont and b&m need to fix themselves up bc without their trademark smoothness b&m wont survive in this market Holy cow i just wrote an entire essay about roller coasters
B&Ms getting rougher as Vekomas get smoother is the most ironic thing ever when you think about how it was the opposite 20-30 years ago

Regardless, both Clermont and b&m need to fix themselves up bc without their trademark smoothness b&m wont survive in this market
Holy cow i just wrote an entire essay about roller coasters
Just like Intamin!!😡😡😡😡😡
Imagine still paying money out of your own pocket and supporting this evil corporation
B&M = Bumpy & Mild
it’s a family coaster, not a thrill coaster 🙄
