Milford Sound is a fiord in New Zealand’s South Island, in Fiordland National Park. It is considered one of the most beautiful fjords in New Zealand and in the World. Milford Sound is famous with its waterfalls, rainforests, steep slopes of the surrounding peaks and the classical views of Mitre Peak.
Recorded February 2019 in 4K Ultra HD with Sony AX700.

They are probably disturbed people who do not appreciate the beautiful scenes of a land that was also used in The Lord of the Rings and many dinosaurs films.

Cut by glaciers, this landscape has a very high rainfall which although spectacular has little shaped it since.
Thanks for beginning with the more typical clouds and rain, rather than nice sunny picturesqueness which would be unrepresentative.
Thanks for also including the boats and tourists who, including myself at one time, are a part of the modern landscape.
That said, this is an awesome presentation.

And I'd say it's even more like Norway because as Norway extends all the way to the Arctic where it's known for its geographic expeditions, Chile extends all the way to the Antarctic where it's known for its ventures, in competition with Argentina. NZ is a temperate island about the size of the UK, and its fjords lie on the South Island. Chile extends 4,270 km, starting from the breathtaking Atacama desert in the north (the driest desert in the world), down to the freezing cold Antarctic. The transition in geography going from one end of the country to the other is like going from Mexico/California to Alaska. About halfway down, the fjords begin in Patagonia, and it ranges all the way from temperate fjords to (ant)arctic fjords, much like from British Columbian fjords to Alaskan fjords. Just take a look at the *southernmost town in the world* of Puerto Williams, and tell me that doesn't look like a northern town of Norway. So yeah, go fuck a sheep or whatever else you Kiwis like to do.

One of the few places that looks better when its raining! West coast is one of the wettest places on earth, when I first went it was blazing hot and blue skies which was good for kayaking. My second visit it was more like this and much more spectacular. Amazing place but I actually preferred Doubtful Sound for the remoteness, lack of tourists and the journey.
The contrast between green and white makes mysterious.

One thing I noticed when I got back to the uk.... trees and grass are not really green here... the are very grey scale compared to NZ. I was floored by this at the time...

The light in New Zealand makes colours pop. When I moved here from Manchester (very grey) it was like I was seeing everything in Ultra HD. Even on overcast days you need sunglasses!
