lol, I don't need to go to the restroom often but, if I'm suddenly told I _must hold_ it in for 2-3 hours because there's no toilet I'll immediately feel the urge non stop
If you do a bus tour ever, be warned. This is exactly what they tell you and it’s not fun
And I can't imagine the average American squeezing down that narrow aisle to get to their seat, let alone an onboard toilet in an emergency! 😂
I agree absolutely. It triggers an anxiety issue. I find that if I really have to take a piss or shit or throw up because I've been drinking too much and holding it in for a long time the discipline I maintained falls apart within the last few feet of reaching a restroom as if my subconscious mind is prematurely saying "let it go!" I've had many close calls but fortunately never pissed or shit my pants in public. One time I did have to make a rapid departure from a night owl bus service to throw up on the curb. Not my proudest moment but it was at an international airport with restrooms I could clean up in and catch the next bus an hour later.

The bus gives a choice between claustrophia and the ability use a phone OR using ac and looking out the window. The dome only gives visual privacy, it doesn't block sounds or smells.
No on-board restroom and frequent rest stops means little chance of decent sleep.
I think i'd use an express train.

can't seem to stretch out either as there's not enough space between the seats. they should look at (some) business class seats in planes for how it should be done.
True, if someone have quiet fart close by, you will still smell it, but it is to cramped, ajd i doubt they would stop anywhere just for someone to go pee.

@@crowry7646 路線にもよるからなんとも言えないですが、需要があって満席状態が続くなら本数が増えてゆくゆくはサービスも充実すると思います。
本数が少ない状態では、誰もが選びやすい基本サービスだけにせざるを得ないんじゃないかと。バスに乗る人は安さを優先する人多いですし。
多分、長距離移動での快適な度は、主に飛行機と新幹線の得意分野になって来るんだろうなと。
このバスに更にトイレ付けて長距離の価格にしたら、もうちょい足せば飛行機乗れるみたいな。
むしろそういうのはいらないからマッハ2で4時間飛べる超能力が欲しい

Tiny spaces are not comfortable for many people.
The lack of bathroom would get me, but I think it would be a cozy place to sleep. Also, my favorite ice cream is peppermint stick! Usually only around during the holidays, which I like because then it's a treat. ❤

That night bus looks incredibly cozy! The sound of the engine, the quiet, my own little reclined semi-private nook - sounds like I'd love it. I love how there are so many opportunities in Japan for me to be the introvert I am. (Though I will have to go at some point knowing there's no bathroom, of course LOL.)

I strongly agree with the statement 'No takoyaki, no life' as I was also born in Osaka. My favorite place to get takoyaki is 'Wanaka' as they make it softer with a dashi-rich taste. Recently, I discovered 'JZOOS' at Haneda airport which is a new vending machine selling fresh orange juice. I was amazed by the taste, as I had never had fresh orange juice from a vending machine before. The Namba area, where I used to frequently walk around in my youth, has changed a lot. Many neon signs have been replaced with LED lights, making the area brighter and sometimes overwhelming. I appreciate seeing the nostalgic scenery of the area and have subscribed to your channel.

In Japan, bus companies have established independent rest periods for drivers and crew members of night buses and sightseeing buses based on the regulations set by the Ministry of Labor. The bus companies inform bus users that the drivers and crews have their own rest time separate from the rest time for passengers through explanations on the bus companies' websites, at the reception desk, in the brochures, by the drivers and crews before and during the bus service, and by direct announcements in the buses through audio the customer. Great trip. Yeah, the downside only the restroom absence. Overall nice bus, nice seat, even you can communicate with the driver on duty via website.
Japan's wild with their innovative traveling. I want to experience the sunrise express, some tube hotels, and now this contraption too!
This doesn't innovate anything, the worst bus I have ever seen. No toilets, a small crampy "pod" that doesn't really block anything, and frequent stops.
