I started out cutting hair with the 76 a long, long time ago because while the other barbers in the shop were guessing where to put their levers, I was right on point with the fades and I could finish faster and use less actual effort. But when the Supra ZR 2 came out I put down the antique. It just doesn't have the power of the Supra ZR 2, and not having the cord is just so much better. So now all the machines I use are cordless- even my backup clipper and trimmer.
I have the Oster model 10 which was a re-release of the model that was replaced by the classic 76. Oster also puts out the Titan which is basically a two speed version of the 76. The low speed makes it a little more forgiving. It runs about $145 - $200+ depending on the package deals.
I have the supra zr and oster 97(the European version of the 76) I love them both especially the noise of the oster there is also the model 10s a smaller version and the oster octanes but there even more expensive than the supra
😅 oooopps, I work at a high end kid salon and almost everyone has the classic 76's . If you wouldn't recommend these for kids, what would you recommend
I love your review and I would like your input ... I've been using andis bgrc for the last 7 years with metal blades up to 3 1/2 & down AS WELL, as plastic gaurds up to 5 or 6. My clipper is old not working properly although I love it.. So my question is what would be a good replacment
76 is the og of detachable blade clippers. I have owned mines for about 5 years and have zero complaints.
Oster 76 is what I've always used. Very sturdy, most other clippers to me feel cheap. Plus you can't go wrong with the sound haha sounds like a jet.
Not even a competition for me. My 76ers are sitting comfortable in the dark storage cabinet. Andis rocked it!!!
I think that oster classic 76 is a very cool clipper I just got one today, and it cuts my hair perfectly.

The Titan is a great choice! We also love the Octane which is cordless!
Oster 76 Classic is King of the Clippers.
Dumb question for you, a friend is stationed in Russia (Marine). His wife said she can get a Model 10 for $80. Is that good? Is that a good model?
Both are very similar. The model 10 is a little bit lighter and has a longer cord to it. However, it tends to heat up very quickly as well
@@thedapperdenbarbershop He's a Marine his "haircut" takes him about 1/2 a millisecond so that ain't not a problem...
Zupras have a history of battery problems. Don't waste your money on them. If you want a cordless detachable go with the Octanes

I like the osters noise too... sounds like an car rev-ing up!
I don't have to see the review
To know Oster wins hands down!

We personally use a quieter clipper like a gamma plus ergo!

I would say the andis Supra is your best bet because you already have the detachable blades that will work with it
What about the oster titan?
How bout using Babyliss FX3 as bulk clipper?
I’ve tried to do that before but I find my fx3 gets stuck with thicker hair
Any information about the working voltage for oster 76. Also any information about Oster Motor clipper type 97-44
i do own the Oster 97-44, they are basically the european version of the Classic 76 and run at 230V ~ 50/60Hz 45W
Instead of the 76 the better option is the Oster 10.
Octane my duder
Oster model10
Why does it say zbr in the title
