I just recently came across your videos. My Granddad was a barber for 73 years. He started when he was 14. When he turned 18 he went to barber college in Birmingham, Alabama so he could get his license. He later worked at Craig Field in Selma until they closed the base. He was there for 43 years. He also had his own shop in his home until he turned 92, then he retired. He started the shop in his kitchen, then in 1965 he built an addition next to the kitchen for a shop. He was open until 8 pm every night and 8 to 8 on Saturdays. Needless to say I never had long hair. I'm 63 now and don't have much hair so I comb it with my shaver. Enjoy your videos, kinda takes me home.
Mother of 5 sons and a hubby who I've cut hair for for 40 years. All self-taught. Thanks for sharing tips and tricks. This should help me bring it up a notch for them. Love watching your videos.
Ok so I'm sat in lockdown in a village in scotland, having my lunch, absolutely distracted by a highly skilled barber cutting a young man's hair 1000s of miles away. Just awesome thank you.
I am a woman, who has zero interest in becoming a hair stylist, let alone a barber, but I just watched this entire video out of pure satisfaction and do not regret a second of it lmao
What an incredible playlist!! There were a few songs that I couldn't identify, especially towards the end. Please feel free to add them! Was that a Janes Addiction song at 14:05?
I’m literally a kid and I literally just watch these because they look relaxing and I love it I don’t have any barbershop or anything or anything like that it’s just these are so relaxing
I love the face framing. There is just enough on the sides to create a border/definition and the bottom of the gives the illusion of squareness. This is a great example of the when the cut fits the man!
That means we are not good with our words saying the same old same old really screws up your vocabulary and I don’t mean sexually or materialisticly as if you were actually screwing a wooden plank into the wall No I mean metaphoricaly doing so because when you say damn it’s loosely used That is why it is good to expand your vocabulary and not be around people who suck at it like you do oh and don’t attach others to you then they will suck too and suck hairs as shown in this video!
I had Dominos Pizza tonight for dinner. I ordered a Pepperoni with Jalapeno Peppers pizza. That comment of mine is unrelated to this video, but I just wanted everybody to know that.
I line up around the ears and the neck when finishing clipper work on the sides and back… I may also get a head start on the beard lining that too if there’s bulk that can be knocked off around the ears and on the sideburns. After finishing the top I’ll clean up the hairline and check around the sides and back for anything I may have missed. Im excited to go to work rn ! I know this is old but you’re awesome 🤍😊
I'm just seeing this video but it's great work! I'm a licensed barber in 3 states and Ontario CA. I say square backs unless it's going to elongate the neck, then you should do round back. But tapered out necklines are usually the best for a more consistent looking haircut over time. I'm loving this look you're creating!
I don’t have a beard, nor could I grow one if I wanted to. I just watch these because I enjoy admiring a fine lookin male and this guy is definitely eye candy…. So thank you sir, you’re a joy to watch….and the soundtrack rocks 🤩
I don't know what is about a man with a nice fade and a full beard. Love it. I did both round and square. It all depends on the neck and hair growth for me. I lined at the end. When I was in my shop back in the day, I did a lot of military and guys about to join. I really enjoyed doing a nice fade. Everyone does it a bit different and I like to see the difference techniques. You are awesome.
Great video, this guy you're working on would look AMAZING with this haircut and a clean shave or 5 o'clock shadow. You can see his young face under all that hair that's hiding him.
That is the haircut i am trying to get. But it never gets cut quite properly. And i really like the girl that cuts my hair and trims my beard so i just smile tell her i love it and go on with my life hahahaha
I have generally done my outlining last. Rounded backs. Primitive barber here, but no complaints. Scissor cuts, but mostly crew cuts (low know), with excellent fades. You are a cool barber!!!
Interesting way to cut the top, I haven't seen it done like that before. I generally do square/rounded by what the client prefers- it depends on the cut/client's hairline as well. Digging the music for sure and glad to see the 100 year anniversary Whals put to use! -O'Corsi 💈👻
those skillzzzz😮 im loving that mr barber is thinking about how its going to look as it grows, that gets forgotten about a lot. ps mr barber is quite a looker☺️
I do my outlining half way through the cut so when I've finishes the back and sides I'll then outline and then move in to the top of the head just like you did in your video
Really nice clean up. Great blends. I do my edges last- always have, just feels natural to me to get the final lines in to frame the cut. Nice video & shop.
Handsome and talented barber. I have no training, but have cut friends' hair; interesting that I do the same things this guy does. I look at the head and the hair as a sculpture, and just cut away! Maybe I should go into the business. Takes a long time to do this right, too. I always thought I took so long because I had no training. Good to see the pro takes as much care to get it right. Always felt that how well my cuts grew out was a sign of a good job too. Cheers from Indiana!
Men have always cut my short hair better than any woman, you guys know how to use a straight razor and blending shears. Wish I could find someone here in Corinth, Ms. Great job, nice to see someone take the time and explain what they are doing and why. Retired hairdresser Ginger...miss it!
I love this tutorial, I thought I was the only one who faded/cut hair this way. I always see IG stylists going in with the shorter then moving to the higher guards and I never thought that made sense. I feel like superior fading techniques always worked better this way
Less than a minute into the video, its so satisfying to see someone who knows what he wants and I how to articulate it, I'm such a pushover by comparison 😣
I really enjoyed the video and transformation, but i cant help but appreciate the wicked playlist and music in the background. I hope one day I can find out what the name of the playlist is.

If I was a barber I would want all my clients to be like him. He’s respectful, specific and Points to wherever he wants the hair to look a certain way
I'm missing out on sleep because I'm watching a grown man get his hair cut, by a passionate bartender.

I can tell you're missing out on sleep by the fact you called this barber a bartender 😂😂

Bartender😂
A "Bartender"??? .... lololol
I'd go to this guy for a clipper cut in a second. Passionate about his work. And I don't get clipper cuts.

James, I had my barber do this fade as a 0 to 1 with hard part and the finished product is totally cool! Thanks for the great idea and new style!

Working on the stache, he said "we're gonna pull it up to keep the separation" while Come Out and Play was on the radio. Perfect timing.
