Wow you have a true selection of palms👀 I see now why you asked about the winterization of the palms These definitely are more sensitive than the Mexican or California palms🌴 Great videos bro
Mr. Benitez Himself yeah cheers bro my wife brought it back for me from Buffalo I normally just drink Bud Light but it was so cheap and it was not that bad 🤙🍺
If I plant them as double, do I plant them together right after germination or how long do I wait after they germinated? and how much space do they need away from one another?
either or, I have many singles and i double them up when they are a year old without problems. It all depends on how large your pot is. Try and space the root balls or plants about 4 inches
How old are the Christmas palms? I’m having a hard time finding the growth rate. I have some small ones planted so I’m just trying to have some realistic expectations on a time frame.
@@sebastianteubl4525 finally got some growth on mine. I repotted to 20 percent sand, 20 percent perlite, 60 percent succulant soil. I feel the soil ok the pot needs to drain well. I’m only watering once a week shoving my finger down a couple inches. If the soil feels damp don’t water. Also, I use mitecide on mine about once every other week to keep spider mites off of them.
I start putting them outside during the month of May when the temperatures are above 20 Celsius but they can tolerate a lot of cool temperatures down to +1 hour +2 Celsius especially if it’s only for a couple of hours
Gee Ward no they can stay together forever if you were going to separate them I would recommend you do it younger otherwise just kill one of them and then just put the soil over it in the trunk will eventually rot if you cut it low enough
Hi! I’m thinking of buying babies and waiting for them to get bigger... how long would you say it should take a baby to get to 6ft, if you had to guess?
James palms I live in Homestead 🤣 the guy I use for landscaping quoted me $135 for a bundle of 3, includes digging them in... wonder if that’s normal price now? 🤔
I kept mine in a greenhouse that had heater issues last year. Got too cool at night too many times. I lost it. Better to keep it inside for the winter. Very cool sensitive in my experience.
@@TheJames2929 i put the christams lights the other day and we had a pretty bad freeze the other day. It went down to 18 degrees. They look alive but the leaves turning grey brown.
Nice. I wanna get different palm trees and have a nice yard like yours.
This is a great question. I have had mine for a month and I don’t see any growth at all and new spears haven’t opened

Mr. Benitez Himself thanks so much brother that means a lot thanks for checking out my videos that’s awesome 🤙
How many double fronds does a Christmas Palm seedling throw out before you get a multi leafed Frond? Thanks
Do the fruits make a mess when they start producing and fall to the ground?
What’s your schedule on water and fertilize?
The key stone 😂😂😂
Cheers 🍻

What’s the name of that palm tree the woodpecker was on?
Windmill palm
At what temperature do u put these back outside?

At what point do you suggest removing the 2nd trunk? Around what height?
Gee Ward do you mean separating the two palm trees or do you mean killing one of them and letting the other one flourish ?
@@TheJames2929 either or. Im just wondering if separating them at some point is necessary for the overall heath.

Kristina Larsen in a cold climate it could take 5 to 10 years down in Florida should only be about 3 to 4 years maximum
James palms thanks! I live in Miami, but am not that patient 🤣 I’ll just buy bigger ones . Thank you!!!
Kristina Larsen yeah no problem you can buy like 6 foot tall for 25 $30 in Homestead no problem i’ve got 3 gallon ones for like two dollars there
James palms I live in Homestead 🤣 the guy I use for landscaping quoted me $135 for a bundle of 3, includes digging them in... wonder if that’s normal price now? 🤔
Kristina Larsen Yeah he’s making $100 I guessed to dig the hole and put it in it’s not too bad I guess the price I gave you was for three trunks palms
How are you going to protect it
I bring them into my house for the winter months
