If you use white model magic "way way better than amazon stuff" you can color with acrylic paint and then do not need to paint except for accents. In the long run they look more realistic and actually cheaper. Really cute stuff!

Ur voice comes hi & low. Why don’t u fill the molds all the way? To save product? If u put a piece of Saran Wrap on top of ur clay when using cutters, ur edges will come out perfect & rounded.🙂 TFS!!

So how do u prevent the sticking???

Definitely pop in the freezer for a few minutes and the my will pop out nicely! I’ve heard other crafters talk about spraying them prior (Not sure what with) but I haven’t done that just because I’m not sure how it will change the clay 👍🏻

Can you use crayola Model magic or is the crayola air dry clay better in the molds?

Hi there! This was an earlier video before I got my mic so I think you’ll find the recent videos much better! With molds I would definitely use the model magic or regular foam clay you can find on amazon. Air dry crayola brand tends to be very thick and hard to work with, it always is kind of dusty and isn’t the best for molds. Hope that helps! On amazon type foam clay and there is a ton!!

@@kryscoffman2885 I’ve crafted my whole life. Different things. I just started fake baking a couple months ago. I retired and started watching UA-cam videos on it. I really enjoy it.
What kind of things do you make with paper?

If there is any clay I use that is sticky I put a little cornstarch or baby or talcum powder on my hands before I work with the clay. Makes it much more easy to become pliable

For this clay large squares, hearts, circles easy to remove however try a ginger bread man. Not always easy.lol For small cutters I found the plunger cutters very easy to remove and I did tiny holly leaves. And, hot in Tampa Bay here.

That’s a great idea! I totally know about the heat! I’m in South Florida and it’s awful here… the clay when I order it is definitely sticky but I find if I open the bag for like 20 mins it’s enough to let it harden a little without drying out. Also, when I put the clay in molds I’ll throw in the freezer for like 5 -10 minutes and then they pop out easily. ❤️❤️

I wonder if these molds would work for making sweetheart candy style bath fizzies

Hmmm.. ya know, I’ve never made those! Have you? I’ve always thought they would be cool to learn tho! They are super plyable abs easy to release so they could work :-)

Great video. I use model magic the best air dry clay to me. I also have that same brand from Amazon(wanted to try) and it is really stringy, wet like, and sticks to everything. I stay in Romeoville, IL very little humidity here. If you leave the Amazon kind out a bit it is way easier to work with. However, model magic is wayyy better. Thanks for your video.
