Great review! Thank you. I love this monitor but I never purchased the M8 because, in essence, it's so close to perfect, but missed the mark completely. 1) 32" 4K is great but color accuracy is shit 2) VERY SLIM design with minimal ports is amazing, but why an ugly ribbed pattern, no VESA mount, a IR sensor at the bootom sticking out, a fat lower bezel and overall cheap looking plastic and color??! I just wish they made something that looks like the studio display from the front (glass and homogenous bezels) with only USBc and USBa and HDMI. 3) Smart TV is useless if you're using this computer as an adult who probably wants it in his office and has a PC connected to it. 4) I don't understand why most manufacturers don't realize the importance of the esthetics of the monitor, which this monitor has so much potential for.
You shouldn't compare this to the apple studio display because that's an silly comparison because of the price and screen resolution. When I started comparing this to most monitors available in the market with either 32" 4k or similar descriptions, I realized 2 things. Not many 4k 32" monitors to compare and this monitor is extremely unique in category and the term "SMART MONITOR" doesn't do it justice, it's way more than that. If you take your time and understand what makes this "ALL IN ONE" or "SMART MONITOR" then you'll understand exactly what you're paying for. For "GAMERS" this isn't a gaming monitor and frankly if you aren't playing FPS games then ALMOST ANY game will be fine on 60hz. It's true.
Yeah right. Comparing a 700 dollar display with a 3 times more expensive one and a webcam with a 1000 dollar iPhone? A bit too much an apple fanboy aren't you?
Not really… studio display is not anywhere near $2100 and is likely the only monitor Josh had on hand to compare it to. The webcam comparison also likely wasn’t much of a comparison… he was just saying that Apple’s solution makes more sense, and that Samsung should have opted for an option to use one of their smartphones as the camera on this monitor instead of this modular approach.
Hmm, Apple studio Monitor is € 1800, so 2.5 times instead of 3 times. And it does look like he is comparing the image quality and especially the calibration between the two monitors. And you are probably an Apple user yourself? I do think so, because you assume by having an Samsung monitor, you also need a Samsung phone to use together. Having multiple (or all) devices from the same manufacturer is the case in the Apple ecosystem, but in the non-Apple world you can't assume a buyer of this Samsung display will have a Samsung phone to pair with it. It's a free world out there where people have stuff from all kind of brands, so that solution only fits Apple.
@@MichaKersloot $1600 USD actually, I can't help foreign pricing but it's a moot point anyway because the studio display is a bad value regardless of region. I also did not assume that you need to own a Samsung phone to use a Samsung monitor, I think you missed my point entirely. I'm saying that Josh alluded to potentially creating an ecosystem benefit for Samsung had they used their smartphone LIKE Apple did with theirs for a drastically improved webcam experience instead of an add-on module approach.
This review ended up being a comparison between the M8 and the Studio display, which (as you mentioned) differ greatly in price. You mentioned other brands selling monitors that are more comparable to this one- why not compare it to those?
You lost me when you compared it to apple's studio display. The price range plays a big factor in this device. When you compared it to Apple Studio, it made me think that your past comments about the M8 are because you are expecting it to perform like a device that is 3x its price.
Shouldn't you compare this Monitor with a monitor that is at the same price range? Comparing, I can buy this now at 500-550$ btw. Comparing it to a monitor that is 3 times the price isn't really a good comparison. Of course the Studio display will be better innit? You also compare the camera to an apple feature that require an iphone which is another what, 900$? Of course the camera will be WAY BETTER. Good review but not a good comparison, at least next time find something that actually stands up to it in terms of price. Or maybe, suggest a monitor that costs around the same price. I can sense personal bias with this review.

Are you seriously comparing it to the Apple Studio? It seems like there's a misunderstanding in your comparison. While you may have switched to an Apple display because it's evidently better than the M8, it's not fair to compare the Studio directly with Samsung. Disliking the video...
This spring I picked up an M7 for less than $200. The monitor has it’s good and bad sides but it really is a bargain for that price. Would not spend $600-$800 personally though, except if you really need the all the features in one package.
Excellent review. I love mine and it's a standby TV. It's BIG and light weight, plenty bright and it has a non-glare screen. The USB-c rechargeable remote is very handy, but the power button on the back works, too, in a pinch. I took a chance on it as a extension monitor, but also because it has a veta mount and I may end up using it as a smart TV on my wall. Why not, it has a decent remote and built in apps, including Netflix. As a computer monitor, it's a pain because it defaults to a smart TV mode when every my computer goes to sleep. I have to go into the menu, select MEDIA menu, and reconnect it to the computer. This is probably because I have it connected with the HDMI cable, instead of USB-C, which is the proper way to connect it, but my computer never had one. Also, in HDMI mode, I can only use it at 30 Hz and that means there is a lot of lag in the mouse movements. However, video has been find and I'm happy with the color. For games it really should be a 240 Hz monitor. It was clearly refined from some early smart TV/monitor devices. It only has USB-c and a mini-HDMI connection option. The power brick suck, but the cables were long enough. It comes with a short USB-C cable (which is fine), but a 5' HDMI/min-HDMI, which is just the right size. And, yes, it seems to be top heavy and wobbly with the new stand design. The biggest disappointment is the video camera - it's just terrible and it's fixed - you can't move it up or down or sideways. It just sits there and all I can see is my hat ! I use this as a secondary monitor and I was disappointed that it can't change resolutions. But, that may be more of a problem with a 10 year old graphics card than with the monitor. Speakers ? Weak. WiFI or Bluetooth speakers are awful and often out of sync. Bad idea. Needs an audio out and a digital audio out, too. Packaging was very smart and minimal waste. Instructions were printed in many languages and in such a small font that I could not read them - I literally had to go on-line to get the user manual. But, on the other hand, it was rather intuitive on how to set it up. Yes, set-up took 20 minutes, but that included creating a Samsung account, registering it on-line, and connecting it to he house wifi. The remote made that part go much faster. But, what fun it is as a WiFi TV. Is it worth the retail prices of $600 ? No Amazon price of $460 - yes, that a fair price for a decent 32" monitor or smart TV.
@5:35 I think this one dose not suits to only those who are designers or video editors. I personally don’t think the problems that u have mentioned any other category. Great video by the way. 👍👍 Nice making and presentation. Just couldn’t agree to some of ur verdicts.
I own the older model. Overall I am happy with it. I am using it extensively in various use cases. I could name so many tiny problems the m7 has which would make another video of this length.
Is it possible to connect an Apple TV 4K to the monitor and add an Atmos-compatible soundbar for enhanced audio quality, enabling the enjoyment of Dolby Atmos content?
Very helpful, I liked the idea of the camera setup being temporary rather than a carbuncle built into the screen, but on second thoughts I think I'll keep one the drawer and buy a better monitor!
I’m a longtime Apple fan and my thunderbolt display recently kicked the bucket. I can’t afford to purchase the new cinema display so I decided to go with the M8 since it was on sale for $400 in total. Would you still say that $400 this monitors worth it if I don’t plan to use a smart TV part?
I actually had to order a replacement one because my first one arrive with some dead pixels on the screen and Oreos base or whatever was not working correctly. Replacement arrived and works rather well, but it’s audio quality still not as good as a standard TV, but for lesbian combination, and only 400 in total, totally worth it.
I'm not sure this is a helpful review. I just got it for 360 on the Samsung site. Sure the Studio display is awesome but it's actually 4x as much. If you are in a Samsung ecosystem this is sorta a no brainer with Dex, Smarthings and the like. I wish this was a six month review of how the unique features held up or didn't hold up.
I was looking to buy this monitor since its on sale right now for $450. After hearing what you had to say about it I decided to go look at the studio display and saw the price. Why would you compare a monitor that is $1600 to this one? I could buy a computer from the difference between the two
If you are using macOS it does not properly scale the output for your display unless it is an Apple display, unless it is already the right DPI for macos
If it costs half the price of studio display then it's not on the same ballpark, is it? Of course it's not going to be as good as apple, BECAUSE IT COSTS HALF THE PRICE. What a stupid review...
This guy is such an apple sheep it's ridiculous He he contradicts himself so much it's hilarious check out the time stamps I left first he at the beginning of the video he says this is a $700 monitor so he's complaining about the price of this monitor okay fair enough it's on sale for 5:49 so that's pretty damn good has a bunch of features blah blah blah anyway so then he later goes on to just say yeah instead of this monitor I want to just use my Mac studio dude that thing cost f****** two grand and then you that then you have to buy your your monitor itself That's another two grand or around there so let's say roughly about 3,500 so this is five times the cost of the M8 which can operate standalone and it doesn't incredible job and this guy cries about the price like get the f*** out of here man If you want to buy something expensive you're going to hopefully get good quality and then and then he says oh the camera on it it's 1080p but it's not that good and then he shows in like a dimly litch room but then when he goes to show he doesn't even show an example he says oh I like the fact that that we can just attach our iPhones to our laptop because Apple doesn't want to f****** fix having a 720p camera on $1,000 laptop or a $$1,500 laptop or $2,000 laptop they have $720p camera on their laptops and he's complaining about a 1080p camera and then he doesn't even show an actual photo of of him getting recorded by the freaking camera but then okay so by his logic let's buy this this MacBook pro or whatever that that's $1,500 bucks or so right or I think 1,400 at the lowest configuration okay now because as a s***** camera I have to buy $1,000 iPhone to put on the top of it oh that's a brilliant idea sounds f****** retarded okay so that's what is that okay we're looking about $2,500 okay that's before tax right okay this is the stupidest s*** I've ever heard what why do people do this I see people compare the like the Kindle fire HD 10 which is a $150 tablet to the iPad pro they say it's not any iPad pro do the f****** iPad pro was 900 to $1,000 and then in most cases the fire hd10 goes on to 75 bucks so that's more than 10 times the price of a freaking iPad pro and yet they they have this idiot mentality like will is not worth it's not the same even though it's like 3 or 5 times or 10 times the price but it should be f****** morons
You're comparing apples and oranges here.... This is almost like comparing a budget $200 phone to an iPhone 15pro Max. No one really uses their monitor or TV speakers either. It's a no brainer to get a sound bar.
Exactly! I love mine! 🎧 headphones for the sounds. I have a camera on my phone. Mic quality is decent. I stopped listening after the mic and picture quality. This isn't a phone lol
Nice video! The light behind the monitor in your headshot view flickers/creates banding! What FPS are you shooting at? Might be an idea to reduce to 24 or 30 fps to see if that reduces the flicker/banding :-)
I have been considering this as a monitor / smart tv for my office (also spare bedroom for the occasional guest). I work at home but I do mostly Project Management, sales engineering type work, so wondering if this would be a good choice? I am now confused after seeing your review! I would love the studio display but can’t swing it financially.
Tbh if you're not doing huge graphic related work like design, illustration, and video editing I wouldn't really recommend it. The older M series of monitors from Samsung would be good for the functions you mentioned, and they'll be cheaper!
What would be an alternative if I wanted to have a smart tv and monitor in 1? I’ve seen reviews where they suggested using a decent + cheaper monitor and plug in a firestick instead but it seems like that has a lot of drawbacks too.
What is your decision? I am deep into samsung ecosystem, the main reason i bought this so i can use this monitor as iot hub of my smart home device which no monitor offer it. Clean design, 4K 32 inch is max size for my desk setup, smart tv function. I think that is bargain.
I am what folks call an “apple fanboy” at the price point and all of its features it’ll exactly what I need. As a graphic designer I can work around the color issue you bring up and video editing or podcast editing it’s perfect. Line this up with the new Mac mini and you’re in for a solid setup at a much more reasonable price than the studio display.
Hi guys, I hope any of you can relate or help me resolve my dilemma. So i bought this thinking of a pc build. So i’m not pairing a laptop with it but a CPU itself. I was able to successfully connect keyboard and mouse to the monitor. However, I can’t seem to bring them to PC. 🥴
Why did you not actually try Bluetooth speakers or earphones rather than complaining about it? Does it support APT-X for low latency. It is just being lazy to complain about this with no experience or specs checked. PS Power bricks are a big plus for monitors, there is no extra cable to manage and the cable you do manage is tiny.
How did you use this thing for six months and came to the conclusion that the best comparison to make is with something that costs more than double its price?
I think the comparison with the Studio Display was wrong since it costs a lot more, another point is that he uses the iPhone as the Studio Display camera but this one has an integrated camera and he should have compared the cameras of the two monitors. Another point is that Studio Display is noticeably worse on Windows and Linux and lacks settings on these systems, for example, you can't adjust the brightness if you're not on a Mac.
I’ve been using it for almost 3 months and I’m gonna say, it’s worth the money - but there’re small disadvantages as for me. 1) It’s 4k, but 60hz - would’ve been good to have 120hz, but it would affect the price more. Two sides of the coin 😅 2) when you use windows laptop and hook it up w/ hdmi - the camera doesn’t work 🥲 it works with laptops that can share screen through usb-c, like MacBooks (or with Airplay). With windows laptops you have to use the usb-c cable from the box and hook the camera up with the laptop separately, so you have more cables - hdmi for screen and usb-c for camera. That’s a bit annoying 🥲 3) not very bothersome but still - if you need to change any settings for the monitor (change the brightness or the volume of the monitor), you have to use the remote, you can’t do it on the keyboard. Otherwise, it’s a good monitor, especially for the price!
As for some moments mentioned in the video - I will actually defend it 😅 1) “the sound is not as the studio display, not good for a lot of tv watching” - the sound is like a regular tv, to be honest, so you will be good, lol 😭 you also can use the built in “sound enhancing” option, which makes it more loud and rich. 2) ports reaching is like all others monitors that have them on the back, you get used very quickly and it’s not that big of a deal
@@CraigJonesFluffer you’ve to play around with settings a bit, but it’s good for average use like watching some content or playing games. If you consider it mainly for some work heavily connected to color, like photoshop, not the best option, cause the colors are a bit too saturated from the box 😅 after changing some color settings, you can make it better
Depends on what you’re using it for. As a tv/occasional computer monitor then yes, I’d say at that price it’s a pretty good deal. As a studio display substitute, even at this price I wouldn’t consider it a good deal. - Josh

Would've been nice to see a review were you compared the samsung to a competitive priced monitor.. instead of trying to compare a BMW to a Bentley! It doesn't take a rocket science to let you know it's not as good as a computer 3x the price
Basically, it is a biased review explaining why it isn't fit for yourself and a hidden endorsement to buy the apple product. If it would be a genuine product review/ comparison, you would take into consideration performance, customization, image quality, and bang for buck. My opinion is that it is better image quality per dollar than Apple. Is this sponsored, or did you receive any products from Apple?
This video has a section about picture quality and how weak the M8 is in color accuracy but doesn't describe how inferior the M8 is to Studio Display . No calibration report . Not even describing how off the panel is (e.g. bluish / pinkish tint) . Why are you so lazy in reviews ?
I strongly considered the Samsung M8 when it first released but decided against it for all the reasons you covered. Nice, but I just didn't need a smart TV.

I can't believe someone compared a U$ 700 Monitor Webcan to an iPhone
I saw a bunch of people comparing this to the studio display so I thought this would be a good alternative for windows but the poor color accuracy was a deal breaker for me as I need something accurate enough for photo editing.
@@mindstream98 The limitations are due to the choice of panel technology. Check out RTings review on the monitor. Good accuracy post-calibration but only occupies 93.9% sRGB and 85% AdobeRGB. "It has fantastic coverage of the sRGB color gamut used in most web content, but it doesn't fill up the space entirely. It also has great coverage of the Adobe RGB color space used in photo editing, but greens and reds are inaccurate."
My 43-inch $399 M7 is nearly perfect. My only complaints are no 35mm audio jack and no displayport. Solved both issues with a $20 dp to hdmi cable and using the speakers lmao
3:19 so instead of you know fixing to send 720 pixel camera on the $1,000 plus laptops that Apple has they say oh hey just get an iPhone stick your phone on top of your computer so another $1,000 and then if you have a call you know you got to take your iPhone off on your computer but yeah Samsung's 1080p camera is not as good as $1,000 iPhone so that's $1,000 for an iPhone and then how much was it for the MacBook we talk about a backup pro is at what another 1500 2 grand so we're talking about almost $3,000 on Apple products because an Apple doesn't want to fix their 720p camera but you don't like to talk about that but how much is the the studio you just mentioned wasn't that like what two grand two grand it was was it I don't even know I know it's expensive If you complain about in the beginning a price of $700 but it's on sale right now for what was it $549 this is this is why Apple sheep are the best
Massive difference in price..If you don’t edit this is a wonderful monitor for watching videos general computer stuff and your getting a smart TV for $700 and it’s 32 inch .Apples Monitor with the decent stand is over $2000
"I prefer a smart TV over a smart monitor because I value the larger screen size, even if both offer 1080p resolution. While monitors are typically designed for gaming and video editing, they don't offer significant advantages for my needs. A smart monitor would only make sense for me if I lived in a very small room where a TV wouldn't fit."
I have the 2022 M7 which support HDMI ARC to speaker/sound bars, for a cheaper price and basically same monitor PLUS more, I would think M7(2022) is better choice.
The M7 also has an internal power supply and full sized HDMI ports. I got the M7 right before the M8 was announced, and now I don’t regret it in the slightest
@@MrBosstoYouQQ are you having issues with the monitor not connecting to your laptop via UBSC? I have to power cycle my monitor for it to see the laptop
Studio display has screen glitching issues after awhile. Nobody talks about these issues because they work for Apple, many alternative monitors are better than overpriced apple and last longer
I was considering it for a hot minute but as great as the idea of dual functionality is, it seems that Samsung didn't put enough effort into implementing it. I'm not much of a TV person but the struggle between the ports and the stand was more than enough reason for me to look elsewhere. Also I am glad I clicked on your video first. The thumbnail certainly helped this time because I wanted to learned about the bad before the good, not that I have a bad bone to pick with Samsung or anything! 👀😂
I bought the M8 on sale for about $325 and a calibrator to help with color accuracy. After 3 days I returned both because the color accuracy was off. Whites had a gray tint to it and other colors were a little washed out. I would say its great budget monitor for an all in one tv/monitor and the speakers are just ok. Nothing great. If color accuracy ISN'T NECESSARY, I'd say buy it. Decided to invest in the apple studio display, I didn't want to cuz of the price. But I grew tired of buying and returning a bunch of monitors that I was unhappy with. So to save me from all the trouble, I stuck with apple. At least I know I'll get something I'm really happy and not wonder if I made the right choice.
I love mine! 🎧 headphones for the sounds. I have a camera on my phone. Mic quality is decent. I stopped listening after the mic and picture quality. This isn't a phone lol
So you're using the apple studio display instead...in other words you prefer the $2300+ monitor over the $200+ monitor with TV functions... ::eye rollz:: Well gee, wouldn't we all... lol
I had the M8 for a week and it was absolutely awful. The setup was the worst of any display device including tv's I have ever encountered. It took 3 days and many phones and researching. Not worth it from the beginning. The panel is a fair at best VA panel and lastly the whole build quality is subpar. O' and I got it for under $400 and I still couldn't wait to return it immediately.
Why would you pair bluetooth speakers to the monitor and not your computer? Example..mac mini 4.. the Apple Studio comparison is crap... not apples to apples.
This monitor costs 450$ now while Apple Studio Display price went slightly up. You probably can’t recommend Opel Astra also because you can buy Porsche for 5x more… Simply pointless.
If Samsung had make a 3D print stand for their monitor so you can use a Galaxy note as main camera Apple fanboys would say 1)overkill 2)gimmick 3)incompetent Samsung cannot add a decent web camera. Apples gimmicks are innovative...
5:05 okay wait so I don't like it because it's smart monitor which it takes a few minutes to set up but tell me this then how long does it take you to set up your monitor and then hook up your your what is it your Mac mini or Mac studio whatever how long does it take to set all that up and then let's say you don't have a Apple account or anything You're fresh out the gate so you have to set up your Apple account set up your then you could set up your monitor and everything are you s******* me right now come on man damn Apple sheep
Alright, so I know what I'm not buying... but the video doesn't offer a suggestion for someone who actually needs the intersection of computer monitor and tv AND cares about the quality more than the aesthetic :(

No
Amazon price of $460 - yes, that a fair price for a decent 32" monitor or smart TV.
maybe a great monitor + android tv would be better
Your comment was better than the entire video this guy made
Thank you❤
Thanks. Did you personally try it with Bluetooth speakers? That’s what I’d want to do.
@@Bangandthedirtisgone I tested Sony Bluetooth headphones, not speakers. No problems with them.
What are people using for audio on this?
Does it have HDMI-ARC?
This “review” just felt like why the Apple studio monitor is better. And I’m an apple user. Couldn’t watch until the end tbh, just halfway through
Same.
Just out of interest, what happens if you plug a USB-C audio device like a hub into the monitor?
I am also curious about this, I refuse to believe it's impossible to hook up good external speakers
And now this M8 is available at many vendors for just $399. Perhaps a better one is coming in as a sequel?
349 now
@@emeza116where can you get it for that price?
@5:35 I think this one dose not suits to only those who are designers or video editors. I personally don’t think the problems that u have mentioned any other category.
Great video by the way. 👍👍 Nice making and presentation. Just couldn’t agree to some of ur verdicts.
I own the older model. Overall I am happy with it. I am using it extensively in various use cases. I could name so many tiny problems the m7 has which would make another video of this length.
Just bought it few hours ago, do you regret it.
I bought new version of m7, 2023, 32/4K
That can tilt/pivot.
What is your minor complaint
Is it possible to connect an Apple TV 4K to the monitor and add an Atmos-compatible soundbar for enhanced audio quality, enabling the enjoyment of Dolby Atmos content?
I'm really thinking about getting this monitor, so looking forward to the review
Would you still say that $400 this monitors worth it if I don’t plan to use a smart TV part?
same boat. m8 been on sale for $380-400 all holiday season. feel worth it right now.
And tbh I know a lot of macbook users who never considered the studio display either. They'll most likely go with LG
I thought this is a review of the M8 and it turned out to be a comparison video....👀
I was looking to buy this monitor since its on sale right now for $450. After hearing what you had to say about it I decided to go look at the studio display and saw the price. Why would you compare a monitor that is $1600 to this one? I could buy a computer from the difference between the two
M8 is 50% cheaper than Studio Display be serious.
Just bought it for $200! Amazing monitor at this price.
Where did you get it for $200?
Unless you bought it used locally or trading some good things in, you’re not getting it for $200

If you are using macOS it does not properly scale the output for your display unless it is an Apple display, unless it is already the right DPI for macos
You can use usb audio interface to hook up to the m8 and it will play through the speakers
What usb audio interface?
Have you been able to get audio out? I bought this just before I realized it didn’t have audio out and my whole set up requires it.
It's a no brainer to get a sound bar.
if i simply put adapter usb-C to 3.5mm, will it work for headphones?
Can u connect 2 samsung M8 Smart monitors together?
Hi everyone, have anyone figured out how to turn on the Dynamic Brightness on the M8? Please explain 🙏🏻 mine is greyed out and unable to turn on 😢
I need a monitor for my macbook pro and nintendo switch, any affordable options?
Dude. You are complaining about the most minuscule things.
Has anyone tried to get audio out through the usb port?
still tempted to try it out- any idea if the USB can be used for speakers?
How long is startup??
I have been considering this as a monitor / smart tv for my office (also spare bedroom for the occasional guest). I work at home but I do mostly Project Management, sales engineering type work, so wondering if this would be a good choice? I am now confused after seeing your review! I would love the studio display but can’t swing it financially.
Thoughts? Recommendations?
Tbh if you're not doing huge graphic related work like design, illustration, and video editing I wouldn't really recommend it. The older M series of monitors from Samsung would be good for the functions you mentioned, and they'll be cheaper!
Me here as a cloud engineer. I think I need an ultrawide
What would be an alternative if I wanted to have a smart tv and monitor in 1?
I’ve seen reviews where they suggested using a decent + cheaper monitor and plug in a firestick instead but it seems like that has a lot of drawbacks too.
Why would you want a smart TV if you can buy an Apple studio? duhhh
Hi guys,
I hope any of you can relate or help me resolve my dilemma. So i bought this thinking of a pc build. So i’m not pairing a laptop with it but a CPU itself. I was able to successfully connect keyboard and mouse to the monitor. However, I can’t seem to bring them to PC. 🥴
Type c to 3.5mm audio output maybe easy to solve speaker problem from tv
You can use the hdmi for the speaker
What’s up with the bump at the bottom right of the display? Is it adding any big feature to the monitor or it’s just bad design?
Why did you not actually try Bluetooth speakers or earphones rather than complaining about it? Does it support APT-X for low latency. It is just being lazy to complain about this with no experience or specs checked. PS Power bricks are a big plus for monitors, there is no extra cable to manage and the cable you do manage is tiny.
How did you use this thing for six months and came to the conclusion that the best comparison to make is with something that costs more than double its price?
It's on for a decent deal right now and I was on the fence but with only Bluetooth audio I just can't.
did you have problem with using video chat google meet won't co n nect to my phone
Then which smart tv would you like to recommend under this budget
What did you think about the color match comment? This is on sale at Best Buy for 400$ and I’m heavily considering lol
BUT... What about this monitor if I can get it for $350 (or $321 used) from Amazon now??? Is it a good deal/but now?
Depends on what you’re using it for. As a tv/occasional computer monitor then yes, I’d say at that price it’s a pretty good deal. As a studio display substitute, even at this price I wouldn’t consider it a good deal. - Josh
@@6MonthsLater email, teams meetings and spreadsheets for the most part with maybe some streaming during lunch. Thanks for your feedback... I may make the leap!

How much correction do you need to do to get more accurate or are you saying there's no updates that can be made to get better color accuracy?
@@mindstream98 The limitations are due to the choice of panel technology. Check out RTings review on the monitor. Good accuracy post-calibration but only occupies 93.9% sRGB and 85% AdobeRGB. "It has fantastic coverage of the sRGB color gamut used in most web content, but it doesn't fill up the space entirely. It also has great coverage of the Adobe RGB color space used in photo editing, but greens and reds are inaccurate."

Is the M7 worth the price?

Outside of HDR10+ which is Samsung proprietary anyway, what other differences are there? It is half the price of M8 in India so I'm really tempted.

That’s my primary beef.
Studio display has screen glitching issues after awhile. Nobody talks about these issues because they work for Apple, many alternative monitors are better than overpriced apple and last longer
Comparing it to the studio display is insane
I was considering it for a hot minute but as great as the idea of dual functionality is, it seems that Samsung didn't put enough effort into implementing it. I'm not much of a TV person but the struggle between the ports and the stand was more than enough reason for me to look elsewhere.
