using the construction truck to build 50 cal machine gun nests in official conflict mode has been a very satisfying experience

Holy moly, I'm so glad that I found your channel. I love Arma and think that reforger is the best thing that happened to the series. I really dig your videos too and it's to bad that I already binched all your videos already😅
Hope you will pump out more, especially regarding radios and how to efficiently manage resources.

Thanks! I feel reforger is a great resurgence of the series because it went from high volume of content with relatively low quality to the opposite. I remember trying reforger for the first time, driving a car, how amazing it felt compared to previous arma games.
Also thank you for the video ideas, I will make a video about radios soon. What do you mean by manage resources?

I loved the gameplay clip at the end! I'm impressed with your ability to organize that in a public match. very cool!
I've been loving these reforger videos. Your analysis of the game feels spot on. It makes me excited for the next time I get to play the game.

Thanks! To get players to organize I basically explain a plan or draw a marker on the map, and I think most players in Reforgers want to have a point they can gather at to work together on something, like the roadblock shown in the video. The amazing thing about reforger is that it totally breaks all the classic "rules" of milsim games, like in previous arma or Squad, where everything has strict rules for loadout and squad membership. Reforger throws all of that out of the window and players just organize on the fly.

@@caracal3892 I think you are totally right. players, "want to have a point they can gather at to work together". I know this is true for me.
Usually, my organization tactic is to find someone with a goal of their own and tag along with them. This has led to some really great teamwork, but sometimes it doesn't. 🤷‍♂
I'll definitely try this approach out and see how it goes! Thanks for sharing.
I also love the fact that Reforger "throws all the rules out the window". It's an aspect of the game that is super refreshing to experience. Not something I've gotten a whole lot of in other games.

Thanks. I've been running logistics recently, and one of our supply points was blocked by the enemy and was wondering how to do it

What does the command post and encampment on the construction truck do?

    • @caracal3892
      @caracal3892  5 місяців тому

I think they currently only exist in game master mode, in Conflict they do not appear inthe buildable object list.
Command Posts exist in conflict mode as the main cap location (where you go to the map to activate build mode). Encampments do not exist at all in conflict.
I think they want to eventually allow players to build bases anywhere, not just on preplaced locations. It is on the roadmap.

Either people don’t know about this or they sleep on it, but I do this often. I will block a main road with hedge hogs and the set up a hmg turret location just up the road all where the frontlines are. My most recent short videos on my channel show how successful it was

@StevenSeagul783 don't think about sleeping on the arsenal truck with supply to get alot of land mines, it DEFINITELY helps cut main and side areas off quick

I love building these TCP's?; TRAFFIC CONTROL POINT. I find they prove to be very effective. A group of players unsuccessful to push through will often give up entirely after only their second attempt.

I think this way you could even recruit some AI, then construct a roadblock like this, take your AI troops there and dismiss them from your group. That way you can have some AI guarded roadblocks. I'm not sure if the AI despawns though.

What servers do you play on, I play on official servers and people often dont talk at all

    • @caracal3892

I play on the PBS server with 128 players most of the time. However you can also get teamplay on official servers, just ask people after respawning when you go to armory on what the plan is, often players will respond where they want to go and you ask them to go along with them.
