When Aurora said " Wait, we forgot to give these to the ancestors" and did that ritual. I had to fight hard to hold back my tears it brought up so many memories 😊, Beautiful.
In that moment I lost it …knowing she has a relationship with the ancestors is sooo amazing … my nieces said they feel peace in my personal space and I attribute it to my alter . We haven’t gotten to the whole ritual as a family but they know I bring flowers and sometimes they hear me having conversations aloud. I told them I was praying so now they pray too … THANK YOU @velayda for allowing us in this beautiful moment ..❤❤❤

The second one for me was interesting, I was a little more afraid because I knew the pain to come but it was much faster, 5 hours start to finish ❤ be thankful for your contractions because they are bringing your baby down and out and it is so beautiful!!!!

Too many melaninated people (of all shades) avoid it, thinking its harmful or afraid because of colorism but not knowing its the best source of vitamin D.

My first pregnancy and birth was beautiful, but it was not exactly what I wanted because I depended on the healthcare system for most of my prenatal care and my delivery. I had a natural, non-medicated birth, but doctor did not offer warmth and nurses were hit or miss. Please mommas, if you have a desire for your pregnancy journey, do the research and and enjoy! I will for sure on the next one! Much love to you all!

My boyfriend and I are living with each other, recently just moved in a few months ago and hit our first bump and definitely got over the honeymoon phase. They say "terrible two." But my experience is that three years old is much harder. I think it is because you can't as easily redirect the situation. And thank God for evolution. Matt is obviously a more hands on dad, something I didn't experience growing up.

My second pregnancy I walked into the drs rooms, he called me by the wrong name, didn’t introduce himself and immediately told me to strip when I wasn’t even prepared for that type of visit. I felt like I was on a terrible terrible date. I ended up switching doctors but I did not enjoy my experience at all. I’m glad you’re finding confidence in your body.

Your daughter is absolutely beautiful 😍 and so incredibly intelligent I loved when she did the grocery haul she knew exactly what everything was!! So precious ❤ I wholeheartedly personally think you are doing all the right things as far as your pregnancy and keeping it to exactly what YOU need, want and expect because you hit the nail on the head unfortunately the medical community these days is very underwhelming and disappointing especially when you’re made to feel like another number or they are only concerned with how you are paying for the visit thank you for bringing more awareness to that and allowing ppl to know that there are other options you don’t HAVE to accept everyone deserves proper medical attention and care❤ huge congratulations too the new blessing coming I wish I could have one of my own, I’m dealing with the poor healthcare you mentioned due I have severe pcos & unusual thick endometrial lining am praying for a hysterectomy so I can finally start living/enjoying life and all it has to offer. I’m 40 yrs old this month I just want it treated I’ve been suffering since I was 16. 😢 thank you for being you I love and adore you and your family 💜🩷💙
