yes great idea to add them! nice install tip as well should have had these installed at the factory of at least at Saleens prep. if you need any of the seat cross braces I have a box from HP Motor Sports yet, only 700 pairs left!
What a Great video, I have thought in the past that it would be nice if there was a bolt on option for subframe connectors. Now we have a great option. Thanks
That was a brilliant idea that’s the first time I’ve seen that done. I just repaired the floors on my fox body from the cracks and had no idea that it came from the seat. Awesome information. Keep up the great work.
The car feels a lot more solid because the seat is not moving around relative to the rest of the car because of floor pan flex. Performance improvements are very difficult to measure. I think that is true for all subframe connectors. People think they make the car a whole lot stiffer but the seat of the pants feel but may not actually translate to increased performance.
@ Thanks for the reply. My curiosity was if you perceived the car to feel stiffer over bumps, through driveway aprons, etc. Especially being a hatchback. Until watching your video I wasn’t aware the floor pan flexed that much and I’ve owned and built these cars consistently since 1996! If that flex is the case with all of these cars I wonder if what people are perceiving as the unibody feeling tighter in general is really just the floor pan no longer flexing. In any case, frame connectors with integral floor braces are a beneficial upgrade and one that I’ve been dragging my feet on doing to my 87 GT. I may have to copy you!
@@dennislacy5105 "If that flex is the case with all of these cars I wonder if what people are perceiving as the unibody feeling tighter in general is really just the floor pan no longer flexing." This is EXACTLY what I'm learning. I argue that subframe connectors don't make the overall chassis stiffer...they make the *floor pan* stiffer, and that's why the whole car feels more responsive.
Don’t do bolt on’s! Any muffler shops can weld for you. Chassis needs to be fully loaded. Cars weigh on the wheels. Bolt on’s will tear subframe with stock engine and aggressive drives. Do cause yourself more grief 💔

Excellent! Do you have any idea what happened to all the camber plates? They made really nice billet ones that I wish I could find again.
@@Mustang-Geek no sorry i was at the close down auction and bought stuff but none of those were there??

Thanks for the kind words! I've had this idea for a while, but finally had a reason to do it!

Looks like your next product was just developed
99% of people are going to weld these on. I'm just a weirdo.
What a fantastic idea! What are your impressions driving the car with them installed?
