This version is soooo nice. The little pauses and small ritardandos throughout the phrasing (which he often does during his live performances) give this song a soul and a gentle story, and makes it speak to me. Thanks, Calum, for another beautiful piece.
I would like to say that you inspire me to continue and become a much better me when I play. I hope to see you live soon in the lower ohio area if you can make it down this way. Great guitar skills and great creations of music.
This is my favorite instrumental piece on acoustic guitar now. I got to hear your composition because of searching for Taylor GS mini demo. One of the demo was this instrumental piece and it captivated me from then on. Now this encourages me to pursue more of practicing my guitar playing. LOve love from the Philippines ~Leen
I have heard a lot of acoustic guitar in my life. From Flamenco to Country, from Blues to Rock. This is definitely one of the most beautiful arrangements I have heard. It's a journey, not sure if a happy or a sad one or maybe both. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to listen to this! Hope you are safe and hope you someday come to Portugal and play in Porto!
@@hazariharrie3809 Ummm... no. Respectfully, he’s a competent player. But he’s not in the same class as Calum. Just not even close. It would be nice for you to keep your comments germane to appreciating Calum’s playing rather than trying to draw attention to another artist. I followed your lead and checked him out. Pleasant enough listening, to be sure, just doesn’t have the emotional depth or compositional or technical chops that Calum has. Just sayin’. I love discovering new acoustic guitarists and would be delighted to give you thanks for the referral... if it was to someone truly special. I didn’t find that, and thus your comment is really just a distraction.
This is sensational footage. Witnessing his breathing between phrasing, demonstrates his evolution, maturation and deeper familiarity with his composition. The sound work registration of the room and sound equipment is perfection.
This piece has been in my life since our tour in Europe. Like so many things, it got silenced during covid. It's resurfacing now...(I am practicing it at 5AM, so "resurfacing" might be understatement). I don't know if there is a piece that I love as much as this. And your ability to play it exactly as it should be played, with patience and compasion, is simply a miracle. Thank you Calum.
Beautiful. Emotive. The Title fits the sound perfectly. It makes me reflect deeply about my Mom, her love, her life and her passing so many years ago. Thank you.
What else to be said.. so absolutely perfectly written, flawlessly played.. and just pours emotion every second.. I imagine such a beautiful peace being able to write and perform such perfect music
Calum is my new favorite like #AndyMcKee ##DonRoss #AntioneDefor. His solo virtuoso talents give me a sense of fineness and transcendence. An incredible talent. Hey! He looks great too. Tee hee! 🦄☔🌈😃🤖🌐🇺🇸💜🎸🎸🎸
this was so freaking amazing. Thank you for sharing it! We must know you since we were at bootcamp, don't we? Anyhow, you are amazing for putting this up here!! it's beautiful memories for all people that were there!
If it could ever be possible, I want to be surrounded by the sound of this beautiful song when I leave this world. Well done Calum!

thx for sharing and for the nice comments below! :)
Are you hooked up to an octave pedal or something? Those bass notes sound like you are on your harp!

The complexity of this song comes from the amount of emotion put into playing. The flow is beautiful.
