Interesting to see 301 doing some dynamic braking there, don't often see it used on these kind of lash-ups.
Magnificent to watch this video.
I used to work these locos and the Bendigo line, 1961--65. That was when we had double lines. 😢😮
a MAGNIFICENT SIGHT
What a great quality video. Very well produced and edited, nice work!
Thank you so much for filming Steamrail VR R711 Spirit of Bendigo On The Bendigo Easter Festival yesterday
Great video. Some really good long distance shots. Good to see S301 up and about.
great footage Adam, great to see 301 back in service too
R711 S301 and T364 wish us all a happy Easter as they pull an Easter special train. S301 makes it's first excursion run in preservation as a trailing locomotive. Happy Easter to everyone and you Pannier.
Amazing Pannier!
WELCOME BACK S301! :D
You didn't waste any time getting this online!
Great video mate! unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to this one!
I live at Golden Point near Chewton and heard the train go through the other day. 😄👍
I tailed the train the entire run up to Bendigo. Didn't manage to see the return tho :(
great video well done
Got shots of it at Taradale Station and Ravenswood, sadly it wasn't puffing as much as last year when I captured my best image so far
Great video
I took a photo of the donated diesel at the open day if I remember.
Was that you I was talking to yesterday?? I got some good shots at that spot too!! I hope I wasn't in the way.
Hi, greetings from England, great video, is that standard gauge or broad gauge?, that’s got one of the nicest sounding whistles 😎
This is Broad Gauge 5ft 3in. Alot of Victoria still has most of it's Broad Gauge system, with most standard gauge running interstate. Southern Cross and Flinders street station have quite alot of dual gauge track for the different passenger services.
@@lukeslocomotives8521 thank you, I thought it was broad gauge, I just wasn’t sure if it had all been converted to standard gauge or not
@@lukeslocomotives8521 the standard gauge only goes as far into melbourne as southern cross as platform 1 and 2 of scs are dual gauge terminus platforms
