@@gabrieltrono9834 I have a pair that I use for work. I'm on my feet for hours at a time, and after 8-10 hours later, I don't feel any pain from the sneaker. Highly UNDERRATED budget sneaker!!
Additional notes before buying this pair : - Follow your EURO/EUR size when copping - Do not try to replace the drop in midsoles with midsoles from Kobe 8s, 9s, 11s. They will fit but a little bit smaller and will cause moisture inside the shoe because of the space. - The drop in midsoles kinda messes up your socks when you try to slide your foot in. - Lacing and lockdown is good but the laces run way too long. I have to double tie/knot it. Aside from what I've mentioned, pair is all good! I do really love how low the court feel is when I'm using it. It really feels and behaves like the Kobe 8s but with more durable rubber and traction. Great Content Dr Zach! Keep it up!
I felt that way about the laces too at first, but then I realized that the shoes come laced in "display shoe lacing" or "Canadian lacing" style which is harder to tighten. Once I relaced the shoes in the traditional "criss cross lacing" format, the shoes were much more easier to tighten and I got better overall lockdown and an improved fit.
Been using this for weeks now and it feels great on my foot. My position in basketball is Power Forward and Center and the traction helps me a lot because its so grippy, it really helps me be more stable when someone is bumping me doing post moves inside the paint + our court here in our country, the Philippines, is more on outdoor asphalt/cement type of court but still the shoes squeak. Also Doc is 💯 about the shock absorption when rebounding, the boom drop in midsole technology of the shoe does its job perfectly 🦘 I feel no pain in my foot or in my knee. When doing a lateral movement The TPU on the side of the shoes + the drop in insole gives you that lockdown so that you can do what moves you want and just be shifty just like Doc said. This is just my opinion. I really like this shoes. Great Job Li-Ning 😄👍 💜🖤🇵🇭
It's been cool seeing the evolution of your videos over time. Not sure if it's the first time you've done it, but that sky view of the shuttle test is awesome!
Yes, the ultra version has a carbon fiber shank, a torsion plate, and boom foam. They also have a curry 8 like upper. Because of this the ultra version is more stable, and WAY more bounce, like the wow9/10 bounce level. Also, you can get the ultra version for only $20 more on Wowsole.
@@kyleanderson8670 I wasn’t trying to hate. I just wish they made it to where it actually hugs the foot nicely. I wish it was a mid. But I guess they hat the new WOW are for. Glad you like them though. Awesome looking shoe, and I’ve seen stellar reviews about it so far.
I’m a point foward now in my later days and I love both a carbon fiber shank and flexible shoe at the same time, mid to low top for sure tho!.. thanks for the vid.
It's certainly a great looking shoe in white/gold. I'm a little skeptical of such a flexible shoe benefiting "advanced" players, when pros often go for beefed-up support. But maybe there is a place for the "track-spike" of basketball shoes, limited use and more quickness / feel?
This was my first way of wade shoe i wore for about a year it was perfect and i had no problems with it and it helped me drop 246 points in a 8 game season and then my next season i bought the same shoe with a different coloway and now im going to get the 808 3s
I just received my Ultra 808 2 Ultra and tried them today. The boom feels very responsive compared to boost, I wore the Harden 3s before. The fit is slightly narrow with the probar loc on the side but quick lateral movements feel amazing because of it. Very hard to roll your foot over to the side. The toe box doesn’t have the most room but it will do. The carbon fiber shank def helps with lateral movements and jumping/impact protection with the boom insole combined with the incredible traction. Didn’t have to wipe at all. My feet are very low to the ground compared to the hardens because of the drop in insole and it feels great when I am playing volleyball. Impact protection is amazing and my legs don’t feel as fatigued. I did notice my feet were slightly rolling over the drop in insole and I could feel the side of the shoe at times. I am liking it so far and we’ll see how it feels once broken in more
You should try to review the Peak TaiChi cushioning such as the ones on the Andrew Wiggins Peak Triangle TaiChi. Peak initially released the same shoe with a "Boost" type midsole that he stopped wearing until the playoffs when he started wearing. The TaiChi midsole version. That cushioning is interesting in that is stays really soft when not much impact but the molecules bounce of each other in hard impact that provides bounce back. That's what I have read and what my son says from his experience. He loves the cushioning. The Peak Flash TaiChi 2.0 has better cushioning but he prefers the lightweight and overall feel of the Peak Triangle TaiChi Andrew Wiggins.
would the ultra be preferable to this due to the carbon fiber? orr all city 10? thanks in advance. as a pro player with a history of some foot injuries the medical vs superficial reviews are much appreciated
So, changed laces, added moleskin under tongue, and most importantly put full length carbon fiber plates under insole. Loving them. Must admit, you still need a strong foot, I'm using barefoot shoes for most time and even for light shoot around on court or pick up games outdoor. P.S. would be nice to have zero drop shoe, waiting for some decent drops from converse.
Hey Zach, really love your reviews! Could you please review the UA Flow FUTR X 2? I remember you said the 1s were so so good, but I just couldn't get a hold of them anymore, so I wanted to know if the 2s are just as good? Thanks for your work!

Can you please help with the sizing. My son wears a Nike size US10/Eur44... LiNing sizing is US10/Eur43. 5 or US10. 5/Eur44... He has narrow to medium width feet. Which size should he go with? We appreciate the help and love your reviews. Thanks.
@@Jmooooney wow!!! … that’s saying a lot. Because I heard the curry line is super grippy! Would the performance change dramatically for the ULTRA version - with the BOOM drop-in sole?
Yes, the ultra version has a carbon fiber shank, a torsion plate, and boom foam. They also have a curry 8 like upper. Because of this the ultra version is more stable, and WAY more bounce, like the wow9/10 bounce level. Also, you can get the ultra version for only $20 more on Wowsole.
Cushioning is going to be immensely improved but the shoe itself is still going to have substantial lockdown issues.
