Got my pair in today (Team No Sleep colorway), and took them straight to the court for a 1 1/2 hour session. AMAZING. I know everyone is different, but as an older guy (mid-40s) at 6'5" and 245, my size 15 was "buttah!". No break in pain, gripped like a champ, and great energy return. Played 6 straight full court games (I normally play with guys 10-20 years younger than me), and I probably could have played more. No foot fatigue at all. Thanks for the great review; I wouldn't have even thought of adding these to my rotation if it wasn't for your video. Thanks for all that you do!
@jamesoreilly3705 I did. I'm in the middle width-wise, but (to me) there is a good amount of room in the toebox, unless you're in the 4E range. I wear thicker socks when I play, and I don't have any issues.
@littlebear4543 I haven't... yet lol. I'm pretty sure I'll check them out. My Ultra V2's have done so well that they are now at the top of my rotation. But I've definitely wondered about the City 12s since they are lighter.
For those wide footers that have this shoe, I found it SUPER effective to cut the lateral wall of the insole around the toe box off. Made the shoe feel a whole size up wider, and I haven’t noticed any deficit in performance through both casual and aggressive/ competitive play (both indoors and outdoors) *edit: only do this if you have a 2E+ and buy the shoe true to size
Great video, dude. Ordered these in lavender last week, and this video makes me feel much more confident that they'll fit well when the arrive. In regards to that shot you asked about... instead of putting your right hand UNDER the ball, put it BEHIND the ball almost as if you were going to shoot a jump shot, then spin the ball to the right (counter clockwise if you were looking down from the top of it); you'll get more spin that way. It can help to use two hands at first to put it in position during your gather, but with practice you'll be able to get it into position one handed. With that much spin, you should be able to get it into the basket off the backboard as long as you hit just to the left of the square. Hope that helps!
@FootDoctorZach Hey whats up Doc, is the upper material different on the new lavender colour way for the 808 3 ultra v2 ? , it looks completely different, was looking to cop a pair.
I always make it a habit to at least visit Zach's review of ball shoes before I buy a pair - specifically on the FIT. Zach suggestion on shoe sizes has been 100% accurate for me so far which is craxxy. I have a borderline 2E width size and 9.5 US size for ref. 💯
Out of curiosity, you say basically in every shoe review that they are bad for tailor's bunion and/or prominent styloid. Is there anything that people with these conditions can wear?
For the shot. Treat it as a 1 handed reverse layup and it will become much more natural. Also, if you attempt that shot coming down the center your not creating any space and youll just get blocked when you could have just attempted a regular layup.
I'm a 8.5 and it feels too tight around the ankle area. I only played in them once. Idk if I need to break them in still , or maybe I should of got a half size up? Or maybe wear thinner socks 🤔
Great vid however I do not know much as a tennis player of this sports shoes lol. Anyway I wanted to ask if outsoles on clay shoes like the vp2 which is mine, even get worn down over time. It seems they don't wear down at all.
Hey foot doctor Zach, I’m planning to buy this shoe I normally wear size 12.5 us men but gonna buy 13 I have wide feet so I’m wondering if there is gonna be any heel splippage
Do you know if wow makes youth shoes, or do you recommend any youth basketball shoes. Looking to buy my 9year old a pair for her travel team indoor. She's in a 4.5 currently
@@FootDoctorZach I purchased a pair near the end of November 2023 and they came in 3 days, I was shocked since I’m in Canada . It’s possible they’ve changed their fulfilment process since your last purchase. I also just ordered another pair today, we’ll see how long it’ll take.
It’s funny you mentioned Zions because that’s the other shoe I’m thinking of getting. It’s between Zions & the 808’s. Only thing I don’t like about Zions is the colorways. Thanks for another great informative video!
have you had issue with these where the tongue goes all the way to the side the longer you wear it in court? it is so annoying. what’s the best way to prevent this?
Break-in time for these are rough! I went true to size, just like I do on all the other Way of Wade shoes. However, these were rubbing the back of my heel and Achilles.
So you got the same size as you wear in like Nike or Adidas? The website size guide says I should be wearing a 10.5 which is 1.5 sizes smaller than normal.
I'd say once a month probably - im not in a regular league because i have my practice, this channel, wife and kid but if im around ill play with the groups at my gym when they need another warm body
I have suffered an Achilles tear in the past and still get Achilles tendinitis. I ordered these because foot doctor Zach said they have good support for heel pain and Achilles tendinitis.
Buy the 808 3 Ultra V2 HERE: geni.us/wayofwade
whats a good shoe for ankle support and or to wear a brace in?
This shoe is dope😊
V2 is the best for last😊
It's so nice😊😊😊😊😊😊
I wish I can buy the shoe😊

I’m going to try this Monday
Loving the look of these far more than the regular ultras. Very much a mid cut soccer cleat look.
Would you recommend the Way of Wade 10s or the 808 3 ultra V2s for indoor gyms?
Thinking about picking these up
What do you think about serious player and mid sole drop in?
Theyre cool- i did a livestream on them
finally, I've been waiting for this ❤️

Thank you! I have the 808 2 Ultra V2. Could you do a comparison based on tech and performance upgrades?
Doc hope you can rank all the recent li ning models 🙏🙏 would really love to hear your thoughts on their lineup

How does this shoe and the other shoes in the 808 line fit with Zamst a2-dx ankle brace?
This one will be tough because of the ankle collar- the lows should be fine IMO
Been waiting for this video! Im considering these or the son of flash, Which would be the best for outdoor durability?
Zach would you ever do a "snapback" test for shanks? Kinda like what VKTRY does on their cf insole ads?
Can you do the grid test on the forefoot cables? My biggest issue is the idea of them tearing/snapping over time
always deliver the best reviews. One question, lebron 20s or 808 3 ultra v2s which is better overall?
Nice review! Very excited for the Futr x Elites next
Thanks for sticking to the end
@@FootDoctorZachwhat shoe would you say is better wow 808 ultra v2 or futr x elite?
Just copped it
Any thoughts on 808 3 Ultra v2 low? Can't decide without a proper foot doctor review. 😂

Hey footdoctor, I've always wondered, what socks are you wearing?
Solid a little more cushion on heel would help but still solid shoe for my rotation
Hi footdoctor! My fore foot has a width of almost 11cm, and my footsize is 10.5US, what size should i get for 808 3 ultra v2
do you recomend the 808 3 ultra v2 or the all city 12?
Show us how well the coshing holds on landing from a dunk.. 💀
Recommend this over the Fission 9??
Doc, you think kobe 8 will benefit using 808 v3 midsole drop?
808 3 Ultra V2 or AC12?
808 bro
Do you know if wow makes youth shoes, or do you recommend any youth basketball shoes. Looking to buy my 9year old a pair for her travel team indoor. She's in a 4.5 currently
Bro smooth with not splitting it in half.
interested in this shoe but ive heard high tops are bad for knee pain, would this shoe also contribute to that?
The hightop on these is really flexible but its person-dependent
@@FootDoctorZach appreciate your response and I’m thinking I’ll give it a shot!
If I wear an 11 in the lebron 21 and its very tight should I move to the 12 in these
They true to size

12 cm wide feet ,, its 2e ,, 2e up ,, or 4 e ,,, ??? Thanks dr
I suffer from shin splints, how would these go?
is the fit tighter than the all city 12?
Any idea how to change the laces in these?
What does the carbon fiber do at the bottom?
Is it good for boxing/wrestling?
I’ve bin on fence about getting these. I love shoes with drop in midsoles but I rolled my ankle wearing low tops. This might be the shoes for me.
None will be as stable as a traditional midsole setup but these are the most stable ofo the bunch, zions are too

Nope- same as the 808 3 ultra - just the uppers are different- no need
wassup zach here

they don't have 11.5 :/
This or the Joker's shoe
I highly recommend, DO NOT BUY. Suffered severe achilles pain from these as that inner ring around the heel WILL begin to hurt if you play frequently.
I have suffered an Achilles tear in the past and still get Achilles tendinitis. I ordered these because foot doctor Zach said they have good support for heel pain and Achilles tendinitis.
Should I return?
Recommend this over the Fission 9??
