I am a beginner as well. Just got the MST FXX 2.0 about 2 months ago. Much like yourself I have been practicing in my garage. lol made up track with whatever I had available. Practice is what I have found is helping the most, along with getting out with the local drifters to get a bit of advice. Keeping in mind my particular model is Front Motor Mount. But all these little techniques you start with are exactly how I started, slowly it is starting to come together. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Nick! Awesome bro, its really addictive hey lol yeah i been trying to just learn the driving and then mess around with set up later on. Tires make a big difference too on different surface. We got 2 local tracks here that i try and attend to, also the best way to learn off other drifters as well 👍
@@KingsRC I might! ☺ This is as close as I get,,, ua-cam.com/video/U3OERC5LY6Y/v-deo.html but I've been told it doesn't count because it's 4wd 😅🤷 probably fair enough 🤗
Great video and advice, I'm also a beginner at drifting and bought the MST RMX 2.0 and man it's a handful. You have good throttle control brother keep on making videos!!👍
Thanks so much bro!! Still practicing, already worn out like 2sets of tires and 😅.. cant get enough of it probably the longest run time on any of my rc 😅
Nice video mate i reckon i spoke to you last night at jubilee way. After i left i had a look on youtube for reviews about the car & here you are 😆 ended up buying one today keen to see how it goes at the track 👌🏼
Yeah man, here is the one i use, I like it cos its recessed and locates the magnet and alot of adjustibility.. the magnets arent super strong but enough for what we need 👍 www.mrcplaza.com.au/search?q=magnet+mount
Great track man! I've got the RMX running Yokomo gyro and Steering. I feel your setup is great (RTR I assume) but your counter steering is pretty agressive. The Gyro does half of the job and itll come down to your throttle response. You might want tyres that suit this surface (MST Blue dots)
Yeah bro RTR, yeah the steering is quite agressive, i need to mess around with the gyro more, i actually am running blue dots but wears out quick on this surface,,, my mate gave me some cheap ebay tires thats super hard and works great. Yokomo gyro and steering servo is on the shopping list, not a must but would make it smooth er for sure as the stock is a bit rough, but then you only notice when you experience the more expensive stuff hehe
@@KingsRC Yokomo def not a priority! The only reason I had to make a switch was because the gyro died. Also, just a tip. To avoid gyro wobble in the future go for a brushless servo (preferably the same brand as the gyro). It took me months to figure out why it was happening! Good luck man! Was great to see the Skyline in acton!
Dang this is the best video I found by mistake on learning how to RC drift. Just got in to this hobby thank you.
