This is the third news clip I've watched concerning this story, and not a single one actually what the agreement is or any actual informative details.

And the battle has been lost decisively, it had to be a disaster. So bad, they don't manage to spin it into a win.

If things were unfavorable to Disney then they would have still continued the lawsuits. Looks like DeSantis gave them something that would cause them to cease on the lawsuits as the longer those lawsuits go on, the more negative his image would be, given that he would likely still run for the White House in 2028.

DeSantis spoke about it and he gave no details either. If it was a win for him, do you really think he wouldn't let the world know?
The statements in here are purposely vague. Disney completely lost this case... the agreement they entered with RCID before it was replaced was deemed to be a completely unlawful agreement in the courts because it was a government entity giving far too much power to a corporation, plus they didn't follow proper procedure to enter into that agreement.
I guess to give a simple comparison, this contract would be similar to a Mayor agreeing to give an HoA full control of the police and fire departments of the whole city without even holding a public meeting for the citizens to discuss the decision.
It was 100% a loss for Disney, otherwise it would be longer than 2 minutes.

No. The Mouse had already been shut down in January the first time around. Further, there was one attorney out there who predicted the general outcome as to why Disney would fail and at the end of the day he was right.

See, special district law is unique, and that's his specialty. He also is a Florida lawyer. He's also been involved with other special districts similar to RCID in dealing with the laws in question. Disney lacked standing and was set to lose because of several causes of action, any of them would have invalidated their suit because several of them violated the Florida State Constitution. There was no win in the cards for them. If Disney wanted to claim they were Reedy Creek, then you have them receiving tax free money from the state, a huge no-no. If investigated, you're looking at securities fraud that eclipses far beyond what happened to Bernie Madoff, if you recall what happened to him.
This is the white flag by Disney.
The longer those lawsuits would have continued, the more DeSantis looks bad, given that he is still eyeing for a 2028 White House run.

Disney already had their lawsuits dismissed for lack of standing and there were several causes of action Disney would have had to overcome, several of which were dealing with violations of the Florida Constitution. They were the only ones losing.
The final nail in the coffin would have come down to the claims that they were, in effect, RCID, and if they were that's a huge problem because the special district had received tax free money - something a corporation can't do, otherwise they are guilty of securities fraud. At that point, we are talking hundreds of billions. That would have led some higher ups to serve prison time had it gone in that direction.
Disney saw the writing on the wall because somebody with some sense told them to pull their collective heads out of their behinds and put it to an end.
This cost Florida jobs and tens of millions of dollars. Way to go Governor! The worst governor in the United States. What’s next are you going to start pulling books from children’s libraries. 😮
