We were able to walk the torchlight procession about five years ago. Was fairly warm for Hogmanay In Edinburgh.
hogmanay has been warm for a few years now - though very wet last year. probably better than the alternative haha

I went skiing for the 1st time last winter at the age of 49. The only thing I succeeded at was bruising my butt for 3 hours--hahaha. It si great to see that you were able to stay on you feet.

Looked really cold where you were snowboarding, I've only been skiing up at Donner Summit once and I can't say I had a great time,lol,long story. Edinburgh certainly looks like a lot of fun this time of year with all the pre New Years rituals and the big countdown together. Shaun,

I opted to learn snowboard at 48. Can't believe they just sent you down with no lesson! When the rin is packed and icy, not as much fun

@shaunvlog omg! That happened to students I took to Argentina. They put them on the horses, no questions asked. The kids were asking "how do I put this animal in reverse!?" Even more reason to be proud of yourselves, then!
Skiing isn't easy and once 😊 you 'get it' it is wonderful❤

Right ! then you ski til your nose, fingers and toes are numb, and the light is ending and your legs are wobbly, so you go to the Lodge and sit by the fire and have a wee dram, maybe some Swiss Fondue... and All is Right with The World 🎉

If I wanted to have fun in Scotland, I'd go see Skerryvore and Shooglenifty! I've seen Shooglenifty once and Skerryvore twice. They are both excellent bands!

Haven't bothered going out on Hogmanay for years in Edinburgh. It looks remarkably dead. Used to be packed in like sardines
