    Your weather is mimicking ours here in Alaska, coldest so far was -12°F and it's about 9°F now. We've had snow on the ground since October, but only about 6 inches, it just didn't melt. Have a great day.

    So does the tree length go up to the falls or somewhere else. You need to crappy weather we had here last week cause no snow cover it froze the ground up pretty good around here. It never fails if it's nice and warm nothing breaks it colder out it never fails something goes wrong. Keep up the great videos

    • @davidhaley7053
      @davidhaley7053  5 років тому

    Hey, i found your channel 3 days ago and i absolutely love it! I just have one question as a non-logger, does your company harvest and transport the trees like a contractharvester does for a farmer or do you buy the trees from the landowners and sell them yourself so to speak?

    • @davidhaley7053
      @davidhaley7053  5 років тому +1

    • @davidhaley7053
      @davidhaley7053  5 років тому

      Are you asking why this site was being harvested at such a young age? There was only a couple acres of it and they wanted the stand more even aged.

    • @fritopg285
      @fritopg285 5 років тому

      David Haley no, I am wondering about the actual size. You guys cut trees down so short that they fit on the trailer sideways, instead of just cutting to fit long ways. I’m not sure how else to explain, it looks like rather than hauling 40ft logs you guys haul 8ft stuff and I am wondering why

    • @davidhaley7053
      @davidhaley7053  5 років тому +1

      The mills we deliver to are set up for 8 foot wood. They grind it or chip it to make their products. Fir are generally lumber quality so they want the longer lengths. Hope that helps.

    • @fritopg285
      @fritopg285 5 років тому

      David Haley okay, yeah was just wondering cause I heard in a couple of your videos you called it fire wood, and figured there was no way that firewood had that much profit in it lol but you never know till you ask.
