I have been binge watching your videos for the last two hours! I just absolutely love what you bring. You are so right about the traditional, same ripper. I have only been sewing for about six months, and I have gone through four of them already. Probably because I keep screwing things up, but in any event, I have them handy. Lol.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you've been enjoying my videos and finding them helpful. Keep up the sewing, and don't worry about making mistakes - they're all part of the learning process!

As I'm learning to sew and quilt correctly, I see that a seam ripper is my best friend :D Have a blessed day John 3:17

Interesting. I never even considered using a scissors, a scalpel (???!!!) or a razor blade as a seam ripper.
The first seam ripper that I used had a cylindrical body that had the seam ripper part that had a smaller cylindrical cover. And it was cream colored. But the thing was always rolling off the table.
The next two seam rippers came with the tools for their respective sewing machines. But they came with a brush at the opposite end of the ripper part.
I prefer the flat sided seam ripper which I bought through Sew Anastasia's website.
Unfortunately, she doesn't have them available at the moment but I'm hoping that maybe she'll partner with Amazon or maybe even Etsy. Just saying.😊

I think that what ever seam ripper you can find and is sharp is the best seam ripper!

I do a lot of quilting, when needed I either use my seam ripper or my Tula Pink's surgical seam ripper which I do like. Enjoy your videos 😁

When you're ripping a seam with a traditional seam ripper, the little red ball goes on the bottom. Try it, you'll understand! 😉

Instead of the electric seam ripper, I use a bikini trimmer that I never used for...its intended purpose. lol
Overall, I prefer an old-fashioned single-edge razor blade. I have the best control over it.
