I relate to this a lot. Now I'm like so expanded and look at the things differently from what he sees. And that's why I'm struggling in this particular part of my life. I know he cares for me and wants the best for me but after a point I just feel really really controlled and whenever I try to talk somehow it has to end up on what I "need" to do in my life. That I'm supposed to choose a career path out of the few options he's given me. It makes me sad and I feel like crying because I'm not emotionally fulfilled whereas he just wants me to earn decent amount of money just so he can brag about it to others. I hate it here. :(
@@so.pebiased4143 I feel you so much! It is really hard to stand in your own self when we have relied on our parental figures for our identity for so long. One thing that helped me mentally is to realise that my father figure (and parents un general) have a lot of desire for us, their children, to not be in pain. Pain to them sometimes means doing a particular kind of work, study, lifestyle that we just happen to be interested in. It doesn't mean their ideas are accurate to us, but it is to them. We can't guarantee their approval, but the more we understand them the more we can understand ourselves and be confident in our choices. That has helped me sort out a lot regarding their opinion of a feasible lifestyle.
I hope that you can break free of this dynamic. You will do so well I can feel it :)

If you ask me who actually hinder and sabotage my life, I will def said it's my father. With my mother as his loyalest supporter. I'm trapped. My older sis natal chart has the same placement on 4th and 10th, like me, but not our others siblings. I have long concluded, we were pressured so much by sexist, society and our parents views. The only way to escape it is through marriage. My sis is now happily married for 2 years, and my parents never bother her anymore.

Pile 4: I was literally just called out for being "selfish" in a situation which I KNOW I DID NOTHING WRONG by putting myself first (I would've gotten hurt otherwise).
