- How can I get the advantages of a slip table but way cheaper and without the headaches? A while ago I built a slip drainage table where the excess slip can slowly drain out of my molds and it is an integral part of my workflow. However, I've been fishing my slip out of a 5 gallon bucket which is annoying. @lostidolco on Instagram gave up on his slip table and instead uses a 5 gallon bucket with a spigot at the bottom. This seems like a great idea, however getting it at the right height seems tricky. Either it's high enough to easily fill a mold, but then too high to dump slip back in or mix a new batch of slip, or vice versa. So what I added here is a motorcycle lift that can raise or lower the height of the bucket very easily. When filling a mold, it is in the up position. When I need to mix the slip, dump in extra slip from the molds, or make new slip I can lower it to a comfortable height.

Great idea with the scissor lift, and glad to see the spout works. I am currently working on a setup where I use a height adjustable standing desk.

Nice! I was also thinking about one of those (and linear actuators more generally). I ended up going this route since the footprint is pretty small and it's less expensive than the other options I found.

Ikea makes electric table legs for sit stand tables, they are individual units so easily mounted. They have a couple feet of travel and can lift a fair bit of weight if you can find them.
I looked at sit stand desks (and components). From my searching, they looked way more expensive, but I think it could be a good option if you were ok with that and had the right space.
