Looking forward to seeing and hearing Kebra-Seyoun Charles when he plays with Xavier Dubois Foley in Foley's "Galaxy" Concerto on Friday, March 15 here in Santa Barbara.
Not only is the technique good but your interpretation is original, interesting, and engaging. Always a pleasure to listen to you play and I hope that I can listen to you live one day.
‘Tis indeed. It has 5 capos rather than the traditional 4. Therefore a semitone lower and can play bottom B. It is also taller as you observed. Also helps with tuning because the interval between B and E is a perfect interval as opposed to the traditional major interval between C and E. There is no way to correctly tune an ordinary extension. The E whether it is true in the key of E or a just mediant in the key of C are never going to be the same (the E in the key of C is going to be flat). So the extension B is superior to the C. Problem is it is a lot taller and could be damaged when carrying through doorways.

Is that a low B extension? Looks taller than a typical C

@@jackcharlesdoublebassist3617 It likely is a B extension, but it's important to note that there are actually C extensions that have five capos.
