You're not alone - I have memories tied to various projects I'm working on. Sometimes, it's real life events - I broke up with a bestie when I was working on a Mira and I put it into UFO status for, like, 5 years until I could look at it without the pain and sadness.
The dainty style suits you so well, your stitches look so elegant on those Mill and Hill proejcts, the Chatelaine and Nora Corbet's fairy. But my most favourite remains that Earth Godess, so realistic in so few inches!
Did I hear you well saying backstitched with kreinik? I had a hard time stitching a small star in kreinik.
The style of that book - I did not get the name of the author , Susan ... - seems to me similar to the romantique, clean, elegant look of Veronique Enginger's designs.

Earth Goddess has so much kreinek backstitch. But it's been good practice. I use short pieces so it doesn't have time to fray badly. Susan Bates is the designer for the book I showed. I think you're right, her style is similar to Veronique. Thank you so much for watching!
