I was a seasonal delivery driver helper and I must be honest, I never had a bad day. I like meeting people of all ethnic backgrounds. Pulling a dolly down the street and having the packages fall of few times, gotta laugh at myself. Wish it was a permanent position. My driver was an excellent trainer and very patient with me, along with his sense of humour. Never a dull day :-)

I work here currently, Im the only Driver helper that made it that’s permanent in my building, I’ve been with my hub since may and I loveeee it, everyone is like family in my center !, they hired me during the coronavirus outbreak .
I’m confused why do meet people at the door in my home town they just ring the door bell and leave the package on the doorstep and quickly leave 😂 I don’t think I’ve ever met a UPS helper 😂
@@tonymctony4551 I’m currently a driver helper again for the second consecutive peak season. The job usually ends right after Christmas. If you start it in mid October you can go until the end of December.
@@scotthearts9634 Not an appropriate question to ask anyone. I'll say this though. The more hours you work, the more you get paid. It's not a salaried position. This is a per diem job. If you don't work you won't make any money. Simple as that. So if you get the job, do everything you can to work as many hours as possible.
Easy job but UPS does to give a shit about you as a helper. You can wake up ready to go and no one calls you go say there’s no work. Forced unpaid hour long breaks on a four hour shift sometimes. Waste of time and they lied about the bonus I would receive
I applied and I got the job. Sometimes I have a hard time sleeping at night (mainly anxiety, my mom’s parents died from covid) but when I come home from a day as a driver helper I’m absolutely exhausted and I sleep like a baby.

Im a newbie there im not to good at remembering that entire doo thing i passed the first time but for next time can we ask the supervisor if they can print out flash cards and i just read them back the answers really hoping so cause im kinda bad at remembering all of it
UPS is very bad in the hours it gives, per day only 3 hours to 4 hours they give you, on Saturdays they tell you that if you can work and you say yes, then after a few hours they tell you that they do not need the assistant drivers, that is to say Convenient work in any way. I do the work for 3 days and only in those 3 days they gave me 11 hours, it is a work scam, so they ask for helpers if they do not even make them work for at least 8 hours, the notice does not say part time either.
It depends on how busy your route, driver, and the hub your based out off is. When I did seasonal driver helper in the 2017 peak season, I was making an average of $900/week (after taxes) because I was working 10-11 hours per day from Mon - Sat. Now (2019 peak season), I only get about $430 (after taxes) because I'm only working about 6-7 hours per day + I volunteer for Saturdays which gets me about another 6 hours. Overtime pay gets you 1.5x pay. If you feel like your're not getting another hours, ask your driver helper coordinator to get you a more busier driver/route.
