I'm old enough to remember when this song first came out 😩
You can still dance it in few indie places in London. Very difficult to guess the title of the song!
I dance to it every day in my home 🤣
Only French know this song 😂
@@jasonmaille269 Everyone knows this song

Hahaha 👌🏻
Just tried this. Can confirm.
Hahahaha.. 😂😂😂
Amazing that google cracked that riddle.
Wooohoooohoooo
Im 16 and i remember my grand parents loving this song. So i looked it up on youtube for their 50 years aniversary, and theyre both in their 70s but they were dancing like they were 20 again. God i love that moment. Happened just before covid👍😂😆

Say hi to Ace for me, and my mom, and dad.
I can't believe this song is a product of the '70's. It's like a perfect blend of mid-1960's pop rock and late-1990's/early-2000's college rock.

Haha yes , paradoxically this song has caused many conflicts between the participating artists/singers
Yep barmy but brilliant !!!
Elton Motello recorded the same song lick for lick with the SAME band....in that one the chorus is, HE GIVES ME HEAD....

Love how the audience is dancing with no care in the world! No phones in sight.
I mean that's possibly due to the fact that it was shot in 1977 when the average mobile phone would way around 2 kilograms
That studio got populated very quickly with energetic dancers.
I am hearing the influence of The Ramones and The Beach Boys in this.

Great pop song, one hit wonder, I was 19 when it came out, I was mostly into hard rock and punk, but I had a wide variety of taste, I loved this song, still do.
It was an one hit wonder because he didnt sing it himself
Not a one-hit wonder. Check his songs "Sentimentale Moi" and "Tout Petit la Planète", great songs

@@CIVILDEFENSEBUNKER”Great, are you happy Dad? She’s dead!”
If anyone is wondering what the lyrics mean, it are things that someone who is stoned sees/thinks about. It is a stream of weird thoughts and it is awesome.
That makes the actual video a bit more understandable
I can speak french pretty fluent and this song is full of french slang which I find pretty difficult to undersand but one thing is sure: it talks about alcohol addiction
The original is by Elton Motello and its in English.
Ça plane pour moi is an idiomatic phrase which means "I'm flying high," but you'd probably say "things are great" or "I'm on top of the world" in English.
I'm so surprised that this is over 45 years old! I love it.
My daughter who was little and I used to go crazy to this. She couldn’t stop laughing! Just bonkers lol
This is the first song I ever loved and obsessed over. I was four years old.
Growing up this song was huge. Still sounds so fresh
This song has so much spontaneous energy, that you can feel it just by thinking of the song.

At last, I found it. Dad used to have a tape with this song on that he used to play in our old Montego, me and my brother learn't all of the words, even though we had no idea what was being said. Ahh the memories. Great song.

So much awesome energy! Peaked at No. 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the Summer of 1978. Such a surprise hit here in the States. Great and wacky fun punk rock/ New Wave Song.
I always see you commenting on Weird Paul's stuff. You have quite eclectic taste.
I was born in 1978 glad we had this back then
Lou Deprijck really did an amazing song, I hope he rests in peace
And Plastic did a great performance.
This song has been in so many movies that every time I listen to it I feel like I'm in one of them.
Am always glad to receive positive comments from my lovely fans 🤍🖤 it's absolutely my pleasure bringing sweet melody to you. May God bless you awesomely 🙏
I hope you have fun listening to my music 🎧❣️. Have you been to any of my concerts?
Even though I don’t speak French, I think it is a good catchy song
the words don't make any sense, love the sheer anarchy of it
"I'm fine with that!".
No they don't. I speak French and there's nothing much to be understood here. But the song is so much dynamic. Proof music ins universal. Plastic forever.
The point of the song was to do something that was anti-pop and anti-punk, so they made a song that meant nothing. It was meant to be ridiculous.
There is an episode of the Austarlian TV show " Countdown ". They have a translation of the Lyrics, in English, over this song. I'd like to say I hope this helps you, but ... well check out the video on UA-cam.
I hear it's a lot of slang. For example, "Pelle Chinois" or "Chinese Hair" meant the girl had long straight hair with bangs.
One of the best cool energy songs of all time
When I think about high-energy music this song comes to mind. Just a shot of energy right into your brain.
First heard this song back in 85 when I was 6 and watched National Lampoons European Vacation. Loved it since than.
I saw' Plastic' sing this song live at the Countdown Spectacular Show in Sydney about 2009. Brought the house down. He sang it for about 6 mins! Love this song. Great video of the girls in the audience of T.O.T.P. dancing and having fun.
Lucky you
@@PlasticGirl65 :-)
Just found out that he didn't sing or write it. He was just the face of a guy called Lou Deprijck who actually sang and wrote all his music. At one point he even tried t screw him over but he had proof and Plastic admitted he'd always lied.
So crazy. He's a fraud, the pretty face of the real musician.
@@AnyoneCanSee It was Lou who screwed Plastic over, Plastic wanted to sing on the record but Lou decided he'd rather use his own voice because he knew it would make him more money! If Lou used Plastic's voice he would have had to pay Plastic 5% of the royalties but because Lou used his own voice he could pay him anything he wanted which was 0.5% Nice little earner for Lou, an extra 4.5% in his own pocket. He lied and said he used his own voice because Plastic couldn't sing when in reality it was just about making more money for himself! If you listen to any songs sung by Plastic it's clear he is more than capable of singing.
It was dumbed, with another voice.
I just typed in that one French rock song and IT FUCKING WORKED
Hahaha
C'est de la bonne musique et la nouvelle version est magnifique 🤩
Evokes memories of the summer of 1978. Great record.

Well, we didn’t build enough houses since WW2, there was still enough for everyone by the 1970s, but by 2008 the good life had finished
"She said I am the king of the couch " and " ça plan pour moi" (it's fantastic for me). Its all I understand in this song. Still is so addictive 🤔🤗
