Do you really think there was a period of time when there were no political songs, and now there are no feel-good songs?
@@greenAbbot No, of course not, don't take that literally. Almost all band are manufactured now, and told what to sing, by other people. There has always been politics in music, but now it seems very targeted, but I understand the question, and agree, to a degree.
Come on dude, the idea of manufactured bands is about as 70s as you can get. @@sadukar_7th_legion
Was loking for this song about 3 years.😅😅😅
Felling good
Evokes memories of the summer of 1978. Great record.
My man lived in the golden days
what's happened?
Well, we didn’t build enough houses since WW2, there was still enough for everyone by the 1970s, but by 2008 the good life had finished
This is pure gold music 2022 and still one of the best songs to date
I bought the single in 1977, and still king of the divan 😊
I am hearing the influence of The Ramones and The Beach Boys in this.

@@montejode thank you!
Brian Wilson is the Beach Boys.
This song has been in so many movies that every time I listen to it I feel like I'm in one of them.
Am always glad to receive positive comments from my lovely fans 🤍🖤 it's absolutely my pleasure bringing sweet melody to you. May God bless you awesomely 🙏
I hope you have fun listening to my music 🎧❣️. Have you been to any of my concerts?
Craig Ferguson's opening to his talk show with this song is out of this world...
OZARK brought me here - totally - CRAZY - you are the king of the divan - haha
I lived in Brussels when this came out and saw him in concert several times and met him. He's in his late 60s now and still a fine figure of a man! 😊❤️
He looks amazing for 68.
He does and he's hardly changed! 😊

I loved it since I first heard it in Paris in 1980 at the age of 10. I am Greek and my and my family were by Frenchie friends... The son, Hugo used to play it almost all day long. I adored it...
You don’t understand HOW LONG i have been looking for this song since it was in that Scooby Doo episode where they were in Paris. My life is finally complete 🥵
Unbelievable! Me, too :-)

absolute banger for nostalgia trips, dad loves this song
When I think about high-energy music this song comes to mind. Just a shot of energy right into your brain.
It cheers me up a lot to hear this song, when illness strikes which is often, and makes such a difference to me. :)
I really love this song but I really wasn't prepared for this! It has to be one of the most bizarre things I've seen from top of the pops
It wasn't top of the pops, it was top pop which was a TV show in the Netherlands.
i love this song. Playing it makes you sound worldly without all the travel. Especially when you learn the lyrics - I assume.
Lyrics:
(French words)
King of the Divan
(French words)
I am the king of the Divan
(More french words)
You forgot the "It's not today + french words part"
Poetry ....... I like the cat swallowing its tongue bit ....
:D!!
Ha ha ha 😂👍
