Heck the 80's in general was peak many things. Peak America, peak Japan. Everything was booming. We haven't had a time like that since. It's just been multiple recessions and failed attempts to make Trickle Down Economics work and cutting the taxes on the rich. Both resulted in lower and middle class hurting even more, and all the free money they had for good times is now consolidated at the top.
      Greed ruined everything.

the kodak reel film was amazing; they used in all the movies and everything else. this is why all 80's movies have this great analog depth. super high metal content means less artifacts and better color exposure, and super dark blacks. when digital first started it was much worse then reel, it has gotten better but it will never have the organic fidelity of reel.

The music of the 80s rules until this very day - and this is is one of the songs that captures the spirit of the decade so well.
Now and then I read comments that everyone thinks the music of the own teenager's days is the best, but that's not true. Fact is, I really wanted to dislike the music of the 80s. My friends were nerds and geeks who didn't listen to pop music. Since I wanted to belong, I wanted to dislike the music. But I couldn't, since there was simply too much amazing music! So I became the typical teenager who went to the department stores listening to albums and buying a lot of them, sitting every Saturday morning from 11 AM to 1 PM in front of my radio recorder, trying to record songs for my mixtapes... Loved it so much!
