- Welcome to my Lisbon Portugal Vog and my first time exploring Lisbon! Today I’m going to take you on a walking tour around Lisbon Portugal, showing you how to travel Lisbon and all the best things to do in the city! This is my first time traveling Lisbon Portugal, but I’ve heard so many great things about Lisbon so I can’t wait to share my experience with you!
To start off my Lisbon Portugal Vlog, I head to a famous bakery called Manteigaria to have a few delicious Pastel de Nata for breakfast. Pastel de Nata are a delicious egg tart pastry that you can find all over Portugal, and is the perfect way to start off your day in Lisbon Portugal. After a delicious breakfast, I began walking around Lisbon, admiring the city trams and beautiful architecture. One thing to note about Lisbon Portugal is that there are tons of hills in this city, so you will be walking a lot! Next on my Lisbon Portugal Vlog and one of the best things to do in Lisbon Portugal is to go to the Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara, which is a beautiful viewpoint over the city of Lisbon. There are tons of incredible viewpoints throughout the city of Lisbon Portugal, but the Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara may be my favorite of them all.
After admiring the beautiful view over Lisbon, the next stop on my Lisbon travel vlog and a must do on any Lisbon Portugal walking tour was to Parque Eduardo VII. Eduardo VII park is one of my favorite places in Lisbon, Portugal. It is so relaxing, with tons of greenery, and amazing views of the city. Visiting Eduardo 7th Park is a must on any trip to Lisbon and easily one of the best things to do in Lisbon Portugal. Next on my Lisbon Portugal Vlog, I took the subway to one of the main city squares called Rossio Square, also known as Pedro IV Square. Rossio Square is a beautiful square in the heart of Lisbon where tons of people gather to enjoy the sun and relax. If you ask anyone what to do in Lisbon Portugal, anyone will tell you that you must visit the Alfama Neighborhood so that was the next stop on my Lisbon Travel Vlog! The Alfama Neighborhood is so much fun to walk around, with stunning architecture and tons of colors. While walking around the Alfama Neighborhood, I stumbled across a sweet woman selling Ginjinha outside of her home. Ginjinha is a must try in Lisbon Portugal, and it is a cherry liquor that you can drink out of a chocolate cup! This was one of my favorite things to do during my Lisbon Portugal Vlog!
One of the most popular things to do in Lisbon Portugal is to take the train outside the city to Sintra to visit the beautiful Pena Palace. Pena Palace is like a palace out of a fairytale movie, with so many vibrant colors. No trip to Lisbon is complete without a trip to Sintra to visit Pena Palace. This was easily one of my favorite things to do in Lisbon Portugal! To end my time in Lisbon Portugal and my Lisbon Travel Vlog, I went to one of my favorite places in the city called Praca do Comercio, which is a huge yellow square right on the water. Praca do Comercio is also an incredible place to watch the sunset in Lisbon Portugal.
I really enjoyed visiting Lisbon Portugal and experiencing the city’s charm and I hope you enjoyed following along through my Lisbon Portugal Vlog!

After my trip to Lisbon, Portugal, I can now understand why so many people are coming to visit this charming city! Let me know what you think of Lisbon down below! 👇🇵🇹
Even though I live here and know all these places he shown in the video, I love to watch over and over again. It's so beautiful my gorgeous Lisbon!
Lisbon is a really cool city, thank you Ana!
realmente. muito lindo. estarei la em breve
Hi Ana, I really want to come over there, can we link up please
@@bukariissaka1412 , of course !!!
@Ana Cláudia Lima Thanks, are you on WhatsApp pls?
Matt I have been in Lisbon twice and I can say that it is probably my favourite European city, I love it !! The buildings, the views, the lifestyle, etc. Specially the contrast in it (e.g: in the same place you can be hearing the roosters like in a small village but also teenagers skating or doing grafittis hehe). Enjoy, hugs !!
Hey Mike! I'm glad you enjoyed Lisbon so much too, it really is a beautiful city!
Amazing country. Loved your video
Thanks Su, Cheers!
your parents are so precious 🥹
Nice lil intro but in one day or in a 15 minute UA-cam it barely scratches the surface; I’ve been living here since last July and I feel like I haven’t even gotten much beyond the surface. As an example there is the gardens and the chapel in Estrella, Gulbenkian Museum of fine arts, Avenida Liberdade, Belem,,the huge Monsanto park, the aquarium, and barrio alto.To name a few.
Thanks Patrick! I know there is so much to explore and hopefully I can return soon to see more of Lisbon!
LISBOA ficou recentemente colocada em N.o 1 pelo Ranking da i Visa americana , como sendo a CIDADE MAIS FELIZ DO MUNDO para se viver !... 😃 💖
Well I could understand why, Lisbon is a great city!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Note about Palacio da Pena: It might seem that it was built by adding different types of construction along the years, but no. It was built like that from the ground up, using many different construction styles that Portugal experienced along it's history. It was a gift project from the king-consort Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg to his wife Queen Maria II... instead of just doing a simple summer house renovation project :) he insisted on having all the influences of Portuguese architecture in one place (sometimes distinguished by color). That is what turns it into a magical place.
Cool you have liked Lisbon. Welcome!
Thanks so much for sharing this information, super interesting! Cheers João!
Thank you for putting the names of all the locations you visit so that when I plan my trip to Lisbon I know what to do!! Great video.
Thanks Emma, enjoy your future trip to Lisbon!
Such a beautiful city!
It really is!
Will definitely make note of all these gorgeous places!!! ☀️
I hope you get to visit one day Michelle!
Great video and loved being reminded of Lisbon's beauty!
It really is a cool city!
I was there last month and fell in love with the city. I’ll be back! :)
It's such a beautiful place!
Hi Matt, we just watched this video and loved it! We are thinking of spending the winter in Lisbon, so we really enjoyed your tour...especially the ginjinha that you tried. Cheers :)
Thank you, Lisbon is a really nice city so I can understand why you would want to go back!
Loved watching your tour of Lisbon and Pena Palace, as we were there just 3 weeks ago! Took a Tuk Tuk tour of the Alfama and tried some of the cherry liquor there. Hope to return some day to spend more time there and in Porto! Great video!!
I'm glad you had such a nice trip James!
Parque Edward VII was before named Parque da Liberdade (freedom Park), but because the British King Edward VII comes to Lisbon for an important visit and to confirm the treaty between the British and Portugueses, so decided to change the name from Parque da Lisberdade to Edward VII.
Thanks for sharing this Adolfo!
New subscriber here ⭐ really enjoy your production and editing style. And, of course, the destinations you visit are stunning. Thank you for sharing your content :)
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers!
Awesome.
Cheers!
😊😊😊 will be there soon.
Enjoy your trip!
O Parque Eduardo VII , foi feito em homenagem ao rei inglês com o mesmo nome.
O que não faltam são referências à monarquia em lisboa... Uma cidade conservadora parada no tempo
Thank you for sharing this!
how long were you there for? I am considering a trip to different cities in Portugal and spending a few days in each....end game is to possibly retire there from the US
I spent 3 days in Lisbon, but there are lots of good places to visit around the city as well!
definitely visit Porto, Algarve, Braga and Aveiro .
Lisbon is very charming because is old. depending where you want to go.My opinion is a very old city a lot of building degraded if not the most building are degraded. I think Portugal needs a New Capital with good info-structures connection to the rest of the Portugal.
Hey Matt ! really loved your video , if you're still in Lisbon this week end come join us on board ! ⛵️☀️🕺🏻
Unfortunately I'm not, but next time!
Querias... é só chulos à minha volta
The park was named after king Edward the 7th of England. England and Portugal were/are close friends
Thanks for sharing this Keith!
Great Lisbon, Portugal Vlog! Looking forward to visiting Lisbon for Thanksgiving week. I noticed a Christmas tree in one of the scenes. Was your visit during the holidays? Wondering what the weather will be like towards end of November?
I was in Lisbon in October and I found the weather really pleasant. Enjoy your trip!
@@MattKramerTravels Thank you!
😍😍
Cheers Stone!
My friend the biggest park/wood in Lisbon is MONSANTO
Thanks for sharing Paulo!
São Pedro de AL CAN TA RA do not accent the 3rd A. Thanks for visiting my neigbhorhood as a child. Bairro Alto. Come back soon.
Your childhood neighborhood is very beautiful, I hope to return again!
I you want to try the best Pastel de Nata, you have to go to Belém, to the Pastéis de Nata, where they make the real ones
Thank you for the recommendation Bruno, I will try it next time!
Tradicionalmente os melhores mas os da manteigaria não ficam atrás.
first 😜
😄😄
Chocolate cup, Woa that's so cool👍
I hope you went north to see Porto. If you didn't, you missed quite an adventure.
I did visit Porto, and I absolutely loved the city too! Thanks Peter!
the best pastel de nata is "pastéis de Belém", in Belém.
I will have to try it next time, thank you!
💝💝💝
Cheers!
😃👍
Cheers!
The best pastel de nata is pastel de Belém in Belém
I will try it next time, thanks Pedro!
Wild Cherry liquor.
Cheers!
You must go to MADEIRA , too !...
🏝 😊
It is high on my list, thanks Graca!
I visited Lisbon last week, honestly, it seemed overrated to me. The center is crowded, not very clean and many people were unfriendly and arrogant. Maybe it was just a bad luck. But there sure is some great food, the Belém neighborhood is beautiful and Sintra is definitely worth visiting. You can also manage to see Cabo da Roca and the town of Cascais on a full-day trip.
I agree, there is some great food in Lisbon! I'm glad you enjoyed Belem and Sintra!
Arrogant people is normal in Lisbon. Next time come to Porto to meet very nice and friendly people ;)
@@insolitmag5824 You cannot generalize. Bad people are everywhere.
@@B.C.D.G I agree. Special in lisbon ;)
LISBOA❤️
Such a beautiful place, isn't it!
You came to Porto, Portugal? Then compare!
Both Porto and Lisbon are great cities! I think there is a little more to do in Lisbon and Lisbon is a little more "picturesque" but Porto felt more authentic Portuguese to me!
José - Ele também tem um vídeo sobre o Porto ...
E todas as cidades têm prós e contras !...
How many languages do you speak?
Besides English, I am conversational in 2 other languages!
@@MattKramerTravels you're awesome. Very smart. Keep sharing vlogs.
O Cristiano Ronaldo tem um apartamento bem ao lado do Parque Eduardo VII !... ⚽️ 🏆
I had no idea, thanks for sharing Graca!
I think this'll work as long as natives consider you nice and exotic and not invasive. So don't buy each condo, home and grab each piece of land.
Matt, just a heads up, to you and to all future new people that come to Portugal, careful when sometimes pronouncing a word more to the Spanish way. 5:21 you said "Como se dice" which is spanish, you can try to say "como é?" or "como se pronuncia?" or even try to say better "como se diz?".
I know our language is kinda hard for some people and we are very friendly with the strangers but some people may not be friendly if they hear strangers using spanish words to talk with a portuguese person. we have the problem of many people saying Portugal is not a country but a "city" of Spain.
Our languages have some similar words but most of us don't like how confident people come here to talk with us, speaking in spanish. We are Portugal, talk in portuguese at your best or English, if you want to talk spanish then go to Spain.
Come visit Portugal as many times as you want, we open arms to everyone and thank you for visiting the country!
Thanks for sharing this perspective Cláudio, and I agree it's best to speak the local language when traveling! I hope to come back to Portugal soon, and with a few more Portuguese phrases!
Nice place guy, come to México. Hace a nice day
Thank you and I hope to come back to Mexico soon!
Lisboa e' Lisboa o resto e' paisagem !
A grande maioria dos que nos visitam ficam DESLUMBRADOS com a PAISAGEM.
Prefiro a paisagem que Liboa em si.
Hi! I liked the video but as a portuguese I just got to give you a quick fyi.
Dont. Speak. Spanish. In. Portugal. *unless ur spanish of course*
Most people understand english at a basic level, and trying to communicate in spanish will just give you a lowkey ignorant personna. These are 2 completely different countries, and even tho their languages can be considered similar, it is way more considerable if you try to memorise a word or two (as you were doing with the obrigado) than speaking in spanish XD
I always try to learn at least a few words when I visit a new country, but thank you for sharing your perspective
Lisbon lost his Charme...If you would be there like '17 would be totally different. Whoever told you that didnt look on the deep dark side of lisbon...By the way the breakfast was already wrong...
what do you mean? it hasn't lost any of its charm. lots of people still find it amazing. no wonder so many are moving there.
Ho come on dont said that
Pastel de nata....not pastel de nada ..kkkkkkkkk
Good to know you made it to Lisboa, my favorite European city as well. But you gave us nothing but the usual hackneyed touristic bits which clearly shows your trip to this beautiful city was just like most Lisboa vlogs - rather superficial! Also, try not to place your physical self always center stage on practically every frame of every shot in your video, too annoyingly narcissistic.
Lose the fn mask dude.
The city where no portuguese person can live in his capital because of the tourists. Thank you so much for getting our life worst :)
Mano chill the fuck out, ele só está a fazer um vídeo. Culpa o governo, não ele lmao
@@andrefrazao5281 culpa o governo?? Deves votar no Chega. #grandeburro
Can you travel to South Afrca next time 👍. Lisbon is beautiful, but my Country is more beautiful 🤣🌹
