OM DUM DURGAYE NAMAH
'DURGA' means Invincible, somebody who is too powerful to be defeated or overcome.
'DUM' refers to Initiation of that Power. It is like turning on a power switch.
This mantra in essence is calling on the divine force that cannot be defeated by anybody. A force that is so divine and strong, that evil of any sort fears to come even near it. One who asks for the power, gets it from Mother Durga, who is the epitome of 'Shakti'.
When chanted or listened to with full devotion, this mantra shows results instantly. A new energy force enters your body and you can feel it in just a few minutes. My neighbor is always loud at 11pm and 12 am. Sometimes I study or mediate at that hour but tonight they were literally parting in front of my door. I've encountered moments like this before in the hood so I knew approaching them nicely wouldn't work. So I took my speaker and sat it in front of my door and turned this on. Within 3 mins all of the noise stopped. I let it play for the remaining hour. About 30 mins in I hear chatting but not as loud as before. I use a Hanuman mantra to keep me safe (I’m physically disabled) and to chase away those who try to bother me, but all I do is listen to it on my iPhone with my earbuds in as I get ready to leave my apartment and let it play as I’m going about my business. Works every time! I tested it out several times when folks in my building were involved in arguments amongst themselves, and within 3 minutes all the tension eased, people calmed down or simply stopped talking and walked away. I’m a Spiritualist not religious and use several mantras throughout my day to help me come back to me, stay centered, calm and happy, not to mention safe. Shanti to all! 🙏🏽

I can say for myself that these prayers are powerful. In *August 2023* the *day after* I started to pray to Maa Durga, I suddenly won *a free degree course* to study at a college of my choice. My name was chosen at random out of over *1,000 students* who had also entered this competition. It came at a time when I had no money for my degree tuition fees. I am still struggling financially but I do live in hope for now.

I recited this mantra over my right foot that was causing some pain in the middle of the night a few days ago. Within 5 mins, the pain left never to return. Another time, I had some sensitivity around my areolas, I recited the mantra over it, within 3 mins, pain is GONE. If I feel myself getting enraged almost to the tip of retaliation, I put this video on (phone or tablet). Within few mins, that need to cause havoc, leaves my system. I end up making better decisions instead. I have started to even play it while studying. All have been with positive results so far. It really is a negative energy repellent. Thanks for sharing.

One day I visited my temple and I asked questions about Ma Durga not know her better. Someone at the temple said ask her yourself. When I did I was shocked I heard her answers. Since then she instructed me on my cancer and I followed everything n she said. I am well still now . Pneumonia is better too as today I am breathing on my own with no more oxygen.

Make tumeric paste with turmeric and a bit of water and rub on entire forehead include third eye each night go to sleep. Protect pillow it stains. This will clear blocks that prevent opening. Do for at least 2-3weeks then occasionally to keep clean. Continue this chant as often as possible and find time to meditate on it . Play in background at your home whenever able. Erica, I was told when I would be hospitalized and that I would recover. She told me that she was going to step back so Krishna could come through. This was when I had lymphoma a few years ago/ then I kept seeing cows every time I closed my eyes/ one day I told my friend about it and she told me about a Krishna group that had a Goshala about 50 miles away but offered to drive me. I haven't watched my mantras in like a week and this morning I had a dream about a lion god that was in cartoon form that was with me protecting me that I kept calling God. I wasn't sure if there was akon god or lion headed God because I couldn't remember and just woke up so I looked it up and was greeted with the story of narasimha the god of protection. @@Rama_Rama_Rama I once in the past chose demons.. I did something really really stupid and the person I did it around said Durga was her protector.
3 years later I have came back to mantras and chose Durga and experienced the greatest victory I have ever had with demons. They are still in my life but Durga makes it way more bearable. I also completely changed the way I see my addiction. I just mainly use herbs now like kratom.

I believe Maa Durga hated me because I embraced the masculine side of me as I felt ugly compared to other girls around me..I though I was made to look ugly because she hated me. So all of my life I bowed showed her respect when doing prayers infront of diety images but could never look in her eyes. Recently I had a paranormal encounter first ever. I was going through s stressful patch but have strong faith so didnt think I needed images with me. Evil forces tried to attack me at sleep then after prayers for a couple of nights I started seeing Maa durga her eyes in my face. I couldn't believe I was staring at her . Meaning of each akshara of Durga
‘दैत्यनाशार्थवचनो दकारः परिकीर्तितः ।
उकारो विघ्ननाशस्य वाचको वेदसम्मतः ।
रेफो रोगघ्नवचनो गश्च पापघ्नवाचकः ।
भयशत्रुघ्नवचनश्चाकारः परिकीर्तितः ।।
Meaning : According to the Vedas, the alphabet ‘da (द)’ in Durga (दुर्गा) suggests destruction of demons. The ‘u (उ)’ has been accepted to represent overcoming of obstacles. The half ‘r (र)’ signifies elimination of disease, ‘g (ग)’ nullification of sins and ‘a (आ)’ the overcoming of fear and destruction of enemies.

Every devata has its corresponding potency in the human body since what is outside , contained it is also within.
The beej of a devata or devi triggers the energy system in such a way that the power of that divine function starts manifesting in the individual.
The beej mantras end with Bindu (M) these Bindu is nothing but the union of Shiva and Shakti and the central point of Shree chakra. Thus all beejas culminate in transcendence.
Since these work on the energy systems directly , pronunciation of Beejas must be correct. If that is proper we can chant , else better to chant some generic shlokas
