I think it's funny that out of all the gripes I'm seeing, the ONLY response I saw was regarding a question about what drill they used. WOOOOOOW!!! LOL!
Love your product Proline. Body looks Amazing. When it first came out, I immediatly ordered one at my hobbyshop. Aldo it was on their site, it was a backorder...apparently the body still had to be released by you guys. After waiting several month, and still no view on when it would arrive...I asked to switch to a clear Raptor body as I couldn’t continue with my old body. Couldn’t help it feeling let down by Proline and my hobbyshop. Non de less, you guys make awesome products, and we love it.
Thought it might be something new new. Already did the xmaxx. I’m just finishing masking up my monster fusion body for a fresh 4 color paint job along w/ 2.8 trenchers on my old slash 4*4. Love your products.
Just fitted a set of the springs all round (also have the PL reservoirs). I used the firmest red springs top and bottom but I find the top red spring a bit soft. When my X-maxx is loaded up with batteries (unlike this video) the top red spring is always compressed. Is this right?
Hi Aubameyang, Depending on your specific setup and weight, the stiffest upper springs will partially compress or become fully compressed at ride height. This transition point may seem a little early, but it provides full stability when reaching top speeds. Also with this configuration taking sharp turns will extend the upper spring completely on the inside shocks, this keeps your tires closer to the ground and lowers the chance of rolling. If the upper spring was any stiffer, then the transition to the lower spring would be too late, resulting in a it significantly less stable configuration that would be similar to a single rate setup. So yes, your set up is perfectly normal. *Also the shocks in this video were not filled or tuned and were only used as display for this demonstration.* We hope this answers your question. Thanks for your interest and support!

Nice video. I just installed my new Pro-Line shocks and Reservoir. Is there supposed to be play on the top of the shock Tower or is that normal? Shock slides side to side?
Hi @Jimmy Rodriguez, Yes, this is intended . There should be a bit of play side to side on these caps. We hope this answers your question, Thanks for your interest and support!
hey guys, great videos and nice work. can you make a video with new Traxxas UDR? what kind of dampers and springs would you recommend? Where can I get your products in Germany?
Hello K0ppit, good eye! in fact, the coupler can be run either way. in this position the transition to the secondary spring will happen sooner, in the opposite direction you can change the transition point to allow the primary spring to work longer.
What springs do you guys find work the best? And also what weight oil? Right now I’m running the red tender spring and yellow main spring with 50 wt oil. Jumps are nice but I’m getting very slow rebound from the shocks, should i go back to 30wt? Thanks
if you are hitting big jumps a lot then you will definitely want to run the stiffer springs, we also offer an upgraded spring kit here: www.prolineracing.com/performance-parts/dual-rate-spring-assortment-x-maxx.asp as for the rebound speed of your shocks, you can go with lighter oil or modify the hole size in the piston inside the shock to allow fluid through at a higher rate.
+Pro-Line Racing thank you for the fast response.. I am running your springs..that was the colors I listed earlier.. do you guys have a combo preference? I know it’s personal preference but I’m just curious. Thank you
+Pro-Line Racing ok I think the winning combo for me is red little springs front and back and green big springs front and yellow big springs in the rear with 50wt oil to help with leaks and drill the pistons next size up.👍🏻 thanks for the advice

Nice body @pro-line racing .. I always like proline products .. question I have is do you make a Raptor body with a red color scheme.. one for the red xmax 8s . Couldn't find it and I'm interested.. lmk
Hi BiGoOcH, Unfortunately we do not offer this body in a red pre-painted color scheme, but we do also offer this body clear for you to add your own custom paint job and color scheme. Pre-Cut 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Clear Body for X-MAXX Product ID : 3482-17 You can contact your local hobby shop or visit an authorized Pro-Line dealer website, such as www.amainhobbies.com/ or www.horizonhobby.com/ to find the best deal on your Pro-Line RC products. Hi @Anthony Arnold, We use a Makita DF010D drill that features an adjustable clutch. I think this model has been discontinued, but you might be able to find it from 3rd party sellers on Amazon. Thank you for your support!
The Cordless Hex Driver used in this video is the Makita DF012DSE, however I personally use the Hitachi DB3DL2 and it is about a third the cost, and unless you are using it every day with lots of abuse, the Makita is a bit overkill, but an awesome tool none-the-less.
If there is an issue with the Pro-Line product you have received, please contact customerservice@prolineracing.com or call (951) 849-9781. we stand by our product 100% and want to ensure that your experience with our product is a good one. Thank you!

I agree, I've been waiting for Traxxas to release a true big motor truck. I love my Revo 3.3, but it has an O.S. 21tm. A gas version of the Xmaxx would be awesome, but Traxxas would price it so high, that it wouldn't make sense for them business wise. Traxxas is mainstream, they're bread n butter are rtr kits for new users, hobbyist that want parts and easy access everywhere and families looking to get into the hobby.
@@paulcrocker4553 They definitely would have to change the chassis out to be all metal, I would imagine, and could still use the same drive train, and maybe add a 2 speed trans to it! All wishfull thinking haha
@@funeralhymn666 the chassis would definitely need to be strengthened, especially the engine mount area. But considering Traxxas has never released a big block powered truck, I'm not holding my breath.
If you're actually looking for the best build for bashing I'd recommend following this video. Maybe it's opinion, but I wouldn't say replacing the shocks (there's nothing wrong with the standard ones) and buying a fragile body is the way to go. ua-cam.com/video/ZNF7LfkysaA/v-deo.html
at least when you spend that much on shocks this size you can tell what you are getting. Also if your riding lawn mower ever needed remote res shocks you would have a set to use. Hard to really show what 8x4" tires really look like in these videos until you see them at a hobby shop. Good thing i didnt spend $900 on an xmaxx and got a rustler 4x4 for only 400, then bought every part made for it for another easy 400. xmaxx would have been way to much lol
The weakest thing on the X maxx is the body. So many comments on the first run the bolts rip through the plastic. If you could build a thicker plastic 10x as durable, you might be onto something.
I'm trying t trade m x maxx 3.3 that is just only broke in it has fuel and lots of extras I'm looking for an rtg rtr jeep that's like 200$ no any one interested
