Wow, when you started painting with the pinks, I thought, "What is he doing?"" Ha ha, but the end result is beautiful! You really know how to use color! Thanks for the inspiration and teaching us how to use our own imagination to take a scene from just regular looking to striking with the use of color and loose brush strokes.

This is absolutely beautiful, and a great lesson on just painting suggestively with a great composition can result into a wonderful impressionistic work of art. You really show that just "letting go" and starting out with a colorful group of colors , then focusing on darks,, lights, and text brings it all together. You have really inspired me to attack my next painting in this style. Thank you.

I am fascinated by your brushstrokes. I've tried to do broken color but not really successful. Using the side of the brush and twisting it seems to give a more Monet-like surface I think, and almost forces a lighter touch. I'll be trying it. Thank you for this lesson.

At 24 and 31 minutes I thought you were done. But no. Very interesting use of colours and brush strokes. Thank you Robert. I'll watch it again in a few days as it's given me some ideas for scenes I have planned.

I find Phthalo Green and Veridian Green to be very challenging to work with. But I have learned to add reddish colors or purple colors to them to turn them into a nice brown that is not just umber. I really love your style of painting and how turn lifeless photos into exciting, colorful, and full of life paintings.

@@OilPaintingwithRobertMee when I learned how to paint I copied a painting from Monet Les Meules De Foin. Loved the colors. I sold it I now I regret it.

Valley of the Painters! Love it! I also enjoy how you block in your background with shapes and colors….by the way, do you find it more difficult or easy to hold your brush further back on the handle? I tend to choke up my grip on the brush.

Very interesting watching you, I watched this a couple days ago. I don’t know at what point you painted out the red at the apex of the river, that was the FOCUS of the painting for me after that you lost me. What ended up being your focal point?
Sure seemed like fun. I really need to do some intuitive painting, but as you said when or where do we stop? Well, Around about 36-40 minutes, in this one ? We all have opinions, it’s always easier on this side,? Huh
