I just subscribed to your channel. Just because you put the total cost right in the beginning. Lol Did you drive your car aggressive when the trans went out? I wanted to do the swap and just daily on stock trans until I can save enough for a T56.
Sorry I just saw this, yes I was driving aggressively, but regardless, if you put anything with more than 300hp in an is300 with a w55, it’s a ticking time bomb. It’ll break at some point.
No doubt all the hype and demand around the 2jz did this over time but it’s funny because the price of a 2jz-gte alone today costs as much as this guy’s entire swap.
I have an automatic 02 IS300, with 155k miles. I’m planning to buy the engine/trans/harness/ecu from jdmdepot for $3600. Should I just opt for the engine and run the trans i have in my car now, until I manual swap it? I read the stock gte trans only holds about 350hp. Also how would I know if the ecu is immobilized or not
Angelo I’ve never used an auto trans with a JZ, so I couldn’t tell you. But, the immobilized ecus have an extra plug that the non-immobilized ecus don’t have.
I’m knew to all this. I can only find automatic transmission is300s. Is it a smooth swap going from automatic to manual transmission or does it require additional modifications? Thanks in advance before I even decide if I wanna research and go that route.
He wassup I really like your build im actually gonna do the NA-T but been trying to find that black intercooler you got and piping but can't really find it idk if you can send me the link would really appreciate that ✌
bowerboy1 why would you not use the ecu that’s meant for it? And also, I don’t precisely enjoy wiring, so I’ve got a friendship with Justin Collins at Qfab Motorsports. He does amazing work.
JZ Josh I have an Aristo ecu. My obd2 has power but I get an error if I plug in a reader. How can I get that working? Everything works like factory for mine also except for the temp gauge on the cluster.
Throwback to when you could by a gte for 3k
Looks like a clean, well put together setup. Thanks for the video, super informative.
Thanks! If you have any more in depth questions, just ask.
@@joshneuenfeldt7209 Hey bro! I love your wheel setup, what are those wheels? size and offset?
unfortunately there is no more 3k 2jzget anymore D:
Used the JZA80 throttle cable on my swap P/N 78180-1B090. Fits way better and no mods needed.
Good to know if I ever decide to swap cables. Thanks!
The only stupid question is the one we don’t ask. Lol. Good video man, thanks for the info!
What’s the tire/ wheel setup and sizes? Clean build btw
Clean 300 bro I might have to gte swap mine too, I’m tired of the check engine light and traction light blinking on my car
00:12 paused thanks for the info. lol
good info tho man!!
Dude it's awesome. I can't believe you tried the w trans.
Cd009 gearbox a adaptor is necessary to bolt on the 2j engine for that gearbox...to work..
Another dope as vid. Can’t wait to see what trans u swap into the is300
Ar5
Cd009 u wount regret it
Hey, great video. Does qfab stock the Mpx converter box’s? How much ? Difficulty to install?

"It gets the job done" lol
All joking aside I like it sweet swap bro I like that you broke it down hope I could do this one day

TJ Williams you’re absolutely correct. The prices have literally doubled since I bought mine 6 months ago.
Ever looked at the 3d printed ash tray gauge holder ?
How much whp is it making? Just came across your channel, nice content btw.
Thanks, it’s making about 320hp I’d imagine. Have yet to have it on a dyno, but I’ve had other cars that felt similar.
Why not build what you already had the 2jzge?(first video I’ve seen on your page not sure if your old one was good or bad)

Just saw your last video haha 10.5 +15 😳😳 wide af
Need to get rid of that clutch line dampener
blake cable I did. I have the figs delete
JZ Josh good man
Looking at doing a swap on a NA Supra what the difference in an aristo and jza80 does it matter which one I get?

ljvue it’s a bolt up swap if you have the right parts
Drop those twin snails for a big single and leter rip tatter chip
going to do this
Hey bro, where did you order your aristo engine?
did it have an immobilizer? if so how did u bypass it?
Hey love the build, where did you find the engine for the swap
Trevor The man JDM of VA
Ash tray location amazing

What if you use the transmission that come with the 2jzgte? Is it worth it?
That would most likely be auto trans. The main manual trans from the 2JZGTE is a V160/V161 and are very very expensive. But are damn near bulletproof.
Why didn't you drop the Aristo engine in and swap over the GE connectors, use the GE harness and ECU?
bowerboy1 why would you not use the ecu that’s meant for it? And also, I don’t precisely enjoy wiring, so I’ve got a friendship with Justin Collins at Qfab Motorsports. He does amazing work.
You get factory Toyota reliability and factory startup/tuning. I also used Justin Collins’ setup and my 1JZ runs and drives like a stock IS.
Stock ecu can handle like 500hp lol
Good video. What's is specs on those wheels?
Demusp316 18x9.5+12 front and 10.5+15 rear

I’ve heard from a fiew channels that the w series can’t hold more than 350
Yeah, it doesn’t. lol.
@@joshneuenfeldt7209 how much does it currently make
Hey bud is it quite of a straight swap?
Yeah, if you have decent knowledge on how a car works, you should be fine.
What wheel size and offset u running?
18x9.5+12 and 10.5+15
i want to get this exact swap on my is 8]
Wheel specs?
Ima sell my z and do this lol what year is the is300 btw

Will it pass emissions test?
No. However, I live in a county that doesn’t require emissions testing.
Does your obd2 port work?
