    That is just a lovely, extraordinary Zippo. Thanks a bunch for the tip about getting rid of the sticker residue. I'm getting 4 Zippos in a couple of weeks.

    When you sand it down you will get to the brass underneath. You could get the same results by buying a non-chromed (just left brass) Zippo.

    @Gewehr7 I ALWAYS do. :D I've kept flints under the pads since I started collecting. I've never had so much as one flint "go bad". Before I full I just lift up the felt pad and dump the spare flint out, so I'm not squirting right on the flint, and then put it back in when you are done. I've had that spare flint be a lifesaver more than once.

    I never put a flint under any of my zippos because I always thought the fluid would make the flint all gunky. Is this true? Is it fine if I put the spare flint under the felt pad?

    if you simply dab the sticker residue, with the sticky part of the removed sticker, it will instantly remove theglue

    @LosLocosDeLaPradera Very common. Most of our gas stations have displays with all kinds of Zippos. I had no idea about Spain, that really is interesting to know!

    Hey, i just got a zippo the other day and it came in a bigger package and it came with flints and lighter fluid and something els that looks kinda like paper but thinner. what is it?

  • @Speedogg138
    @Speedogg138  13 років тому

    @brieman2 You can, but it can be hard to get it out. Zippo also recommends putting it under the felt. :)

    @mjndblain I understand that. You ARE paying for the name (and what goes with it, i.e. the superb SUPERB Zippo customer service), but in this case it is also a luxury item. My Omega Seamaster didn't cost $2000 because of parts and labor either. :P You pay for the name, history, prestige, etc. as well as a small bit for the high-end parts and labor because, it isn't junk parts wise. This Seamaster has a Sapphire Crystal, top of the line custom ETA movement, etc. Same goes for the Zippo. :)

  • @Speedogg138
    @Speedogg138  12 років тому

    @Darkairsoft22 No. Lots of people do that and have flints in there for years.

  • @Speedogg138
    @Speedogg138  12 років тому

    No. The only irritation you will get is if it leaks in your pants, and stays in contact with your leg for a while. You can get a slight irritation then. :)

    I bought it few days ago in a store.Everything looks original and i think that it is but there was no sticker.Maybe the seller removed it so she could show it to someone ?

    @Speedogg138 it dosent say anything on it but there is a ton of sheets of it. the box it came in was just like yours but like 3 times the size and that was there when i opened it up. idk what it is. its not wick or the cotton ball stuff inside.. im confused hahah!

  • @Speedogg138
    @Speedogg138  13 років тому

    @LosLocosDeLaPradera You are right about the tube becoming clogged, but don't forget that all-star Zippo warranty! :D $42 for a plain Zippo is absurd! Buy them on eBay. :)

    Do you absolutely have to use zippo brand lighter fluid?

  • @Speedogg138
    @Speedogg138  11 років тому

    Zippo even recommends this. You just use the lit to unscrew the flint tube.

  • @Speedogg138
    @Speedogg138  12 років тому

    In order to do what with it?

  • @Speedogg138
    @Speedogg138  12 років тому

    @knifedude3 I can't make that decision for you, but I will say that Matte finish Zippos will hold up much better finish wise than say a polished chrome.

  • @Speedogg138

    @zippolove353 I paid 35 cents! I mention this in the video. It went like this: The price on eBay was $37, I had an eBay buck certificate for $25 and I bought a Grupon where I paid $7 and got a $15 gift certificate. :)

    You kept a flint inside your zippo? then you should know that you need to bring a flat screw everytime now.

  • @LosLocosDeLaPradera
    @LosLocosDeLaPradera 13 років тому

    I've seen your zippo collection videos, and be careful leaving the flint for a long time without use inside a Zippo. It will disintegrate and will leave the tube clogged.
    Very nice one the bolted Zippo. You must see the japanese Zippos, they are awesome. Search in ebay Japan Zippo Station.
    Very expensive but a real piece of art.
    I wonder how in USA you buy old Zippos and use it. Here in Europe they are very expensive, nearly a luxury item.
    In a cigar store a regular Zippo could cost you 42 $...

    Nice video nothing against zippo but $62 is a little to much but its a good design. I really dont see why people hate or if d the littlest to argue about. They dont realize they hate on a channel with about 5x more subscribers and channel views (I have no room to talk I barley have any videos) but I hate seeing stuff like this great video

    doesn't zippo lighter fluid or any for that matter irritate your hands? like you're not supposed to get it on your hand? anyway, great video, I found it for 34 bucks on amazon and now I want it so bad :D!

  • @Speedogg138

    Very. If it was "new" and not "used" then it either had a red sticker, it isn't really "new", or it's fake.

    @Speedogg138 And i think, that these Zippos on USA will be much cheaper than here.
    In Spain i've only seen Zippos in cigar stores or in some webs. Very few places to find a Zippo.
    On gas stations, we have "Clipper" lighters. It's a very common butane lighter made in Spain. Cheap and reliable. Very often used by marijuana smokers because the flint/wheel part is removable (similar to the Zippo Blu) so can press the cigar.
    It is the "Spanish Zippo"
    Here is the website:

    @100missedcalls Well, I already bought a $1200 iMac and I use my iPhone for 720p HD videos. xD Also, James Bond doesn't wear a fossil. xD But yeah, I wanted to have a giveaway sooner, but I had no idea how much this dump of a state was going to rob me of to get a pistol. Now that that is don though we will see. :) There will always be Zippo stuff though. :D

    @Speedogg138 The best guarantee in the world, but with this price, i'm very careful with my Zippos.
    I don't have eBay account or paypal.
    But i have a question. There in USA Zippos are very common among people? I think so, after seeing many Americans with videos of their Zippos
    In Spain, when you use a Zippo to light a cigarette people go mad and asks you if is a real zippo
    It's shocking

    ok zippos are nice..but 62 dollars for a lighter no disrespect to zippo
    but in reality its a piece of metal which zippo probably gets the metal for like 60 cents a piece i love zippos but there over priced
    you are not paying for a lighter you are paying for a well known brand name
    which is why some things like no name brand foods and branded foods are cheaper and more expensive..that is the truth nice zippo though
