The bad thing that this Crash 2 boss mod, is that it does not fit for the plot of the same, but this boss would remain as an alternative ending
If there was already this added as the final boss, that should be an alternate ending, since it does not fit the plot of it, it will remain as an alternate boss

When modded boss battle is better than almost all official boss battles in trilogy
Alternate universe, cortex never survived the fall from the first game. He was turned into a cyborg.
This would make an interesting boss of the franchise. If Activision come up with a character like this, they should call him Mechaneo.
To be fair... we already have the Robot Cortex skin from CTR:NF, which itself has become a boss in Crash on the Run. It's a pretty good start.

I expected people to come up with harder versions of existing bosses, like the Komodo Brothers, before making full on custom boss battles, but this is just the greatest thing i've ever seen! This is Crash 4 levels of good boss design, the things that happen even have tells, how do you even do this?! This is awesome!

This is some truly N. Sane modding here... custom attack patterns and stage animations? Just beautiful.
Imagine if this was a secret true final boss in Crash 2... or heck, it should've been what the final boss is in the first place, just with normal Cortex. But let's be honest, if that were him, we wouldn't get that *EPIC* explosion at the end.

At first I was like, "ok this looks pretty challenging," and then that last stretch on the final bar knocked the wind out of me. Beautiful stuff.

For something that's WIP, this looks pretty good already. The animations, the attacks, all coming together for what looks like a pretty awesome boss fight. Fantastic work. Also love that the music is basically Metal Sonic's theme from Sonic Mania, but made using the Crash Bandicoot/PS1 sound fonts. Love that little touch there.
In an altern reality when Cortex died cause the explosion of Cortex Vortex, Uka Uka without allies, don't have other option that re-build the body of Cortex with some upgrades to kill Crash Bandicoot, this is an incredible mod, very well.

Jeez, this boss battle is outstanding, it's A LOT better than the actual final boss fight in Crash 2, and it also seems a lot harder than the majority of the trilogy bosses.
I wish they actually did something like this.

Holy moly, the effort and quality of these mods just keep getting crazier and more astounding and outstanding! Never in my life would have I thought that at one point, die-hard Crash Bandicoot fans would end up creating custom bosses, customs songs, custom challenges beyond the wildest of dreams (and nightmares) and so much more.
Epic work, all around.

Crash 2 final boss should've went like this:
- 1st phase: Metal Cortex.
- Metal Cortex explodes and the jetpack falls from the ceiling
- You touch it, screen fades out.
- Enter 2nd phase: The original Jetpack chase, just as easy, it's only to finish Cortex off.
There you go, perfect final boss for Crash 2.
This surpasses all of the Cortex boss fights in the original three games combined. You blew my mind with your excellent work!

This totally should make it into the modpack as a bossfight. Although, I'd call him "MechaCortex" to fit more with the series nomenclature (as they did make the MechaBandicoot in Twinsanity) Astounding use of your knowledge of the engine and GOOL.

Fitting background music, and I love also the design of the fight, reminiscent of all the trilogy games but still unique, and hard but balanced and doable, i can easily see myself losing like a dozen lives to memorize all the timings
