I left the UK way back and now live in the tropics where we get those heatwave near 40C temps every day. But I am acclimatized to it and it really is superb being warm all the time. But you really barely need any clothes, even a tee shirt can be too warm. Downside is I can't take the cold at all any more. Cold being 20C lol. Great vlog thank you.

How is it changing? We keep being told its changing used to be global warming!! That didn’t work because during some winters people thought this global warming thing isn’t working its still freezing so they thought of climate change win win i was on the Thames in 1976 queuing for locks from Henley to London then Margate 48 years ago weather was the same as it is now the country doesn’t come to a stand still people that actually work still work yes some pussies give up and put things off but we carry on it’s usually for a few days!! Man up don’t give in to the Gender neutral agenda !!

I loved dance music like that back in my hooping days. Great video, such a shame that you caught Covid as a result. That heatwave nearly finished me off. We were huddled under space blankets and sun brollies in a shadeless field for 3 days at the Fairport Cropredy Convention. It was blistering. But space blankets make wonderful sun blocks. You just look a bit weird covered in silver.

Hello Heidi ... we are suffering high heat (over 100 degrees Fahrenheit - 37 degrees Celsius) and a drought in Northern California USA so I can empathize with how things are going. When really hot I put ice in a metal bowl that will sweat (put something under the bowl to catch the drips) and then I blow a fan across the bowl to cool the air. If you have a squirting bottle you can fill it with cool water and spray yourself down regularly and your clothes drying on you will help cool you down. I also take a wet bathing cloth and get my hair wet so that the evaporation will help cool me down. Also a small wet towel laid across the back of your neck will help. I loved today's video and seeing you working on your DJ skills.
My music teaching heart is glad you’re using your degree!! It is such a skill and takes time to put together a show to DJ. I’ve never done it but I do know what goes into it. I hope the heat and lack of water issues have resolved by now! Sweet Puddin’! I’ve been wondering about him! Cheers Heidi!

Still bingeing along. Well , is a couple of your fabulous videos each evening bingeing? Doesn't really matter as they're thoroughly interesting and entertaining. Any videos with "snot cam" are a delight. Heidi you are talented in so many ways, you are an excellent vlogger, natural presenter with a fab sense of humour. Last year's heatwave was indeed a challenge but I wasn't aware of people being affected by canal closures. Any DJ gigs coming up this year?

I could never do a DJ thing. I be always wanting an instrument in my hand making the music. Glad I wasn’t near that heat. I’ve lived in Alaska so long I’d have melted into puddle. As I musician I really enjoy the buzz of DJing and mixing … it’s quite a skill mixing dance tracks and teasing a crowd - it’s like an instrument to learn if you do it properly and not just throw on songs … so glad you are on the mend … we still need some rain here, still very dry and canals very shallow 😩
@@TheNarrowboatPirate well I do love mixing songs especially when I can record us playing when each player has an instrument mic and vocal mic on separate tracks. Love doing EQ, compression etc for each mic and balancing them all together. I’m so out of touch with what most people like in music that they would throw me out the door. I would be willing to bet that I don’t know any of the tunes,songs you played. When I play for dances they are contra dances.

I've just travelled 14 miles down a river and the turn around Point and silver propeller are 100 feet in front of me but it's to shallow to get there. I've had to wild moor and now I've got to reverse back a winding river for bloody miles so I can turn. OMG never a dull moment. Fantastic showing us your DJ skills, bloody amazing Mrs. I enjoyed the hot weather. I went in the water and walked around my Hull checking it and treating the rust. Way hey me hearty. I've just travelled 14 miles down a river and the turn around Point and silver propeller are 100 feet in front of me but it's to shallow to get there. I've had to wild moor and now I've got to reverse back a winding river for bloody miles so I can turn. OMG never a dull moment. Fantastic showing us your DJ skills, bloody amazing Mrs. I enjoyed the hot weather. I went in the water and walked around my Hull checking it and treating the rust. Way hey me hearty. Hi Heidi a good job you didn’t say on the weaver navigation as the anderton boat lift is shut for the foreseeable future due maintenance work so you would have been stuck.any way a fabulous vlog love the footage you do and time that you put in love meet one day on the canals who know anyway thanks again love Philip
