I think it's implied he can only write in things that can physically realistically happen. Koichi flying backwards and Janken Boi not being able to attack Rohan are realistic things, but you just going "ded" isn't without a proper reason. Plus, knowing Rohan and his ego, I doubt he'd be satisfied with just killing someone to defeat them. He'd have to showboat and make his opponent truly feel defeated.

wasnt there an episode where they tried to end their fathers suffering but even the hand couldnt help they explicitly state that the hand still couldnt help
he doesnt erase his dad because he doesnt know where anything goes after being erased, so it might just teleport his dad to another dimension instead of killing him

I don't think Okuyasu is stupid, he doesn't where the things he erase go and don't want to murder them, he is a kind man. Not to mention it is extremely slow. Still give it to someone like Kira and it becomes a different story.
Okuyasu knew he could... Kill his dad using the hand, but keicho wouldn't let him since he needs that someone would make it painless. I think that's that.
