I really like you guyss style. You three make an awesome trio!! My daughters and I go kayak camping periodically in maine but we use sit on tops to do this. I’m very interested in switching to canoe camping for the heavier payload and getting down to one boat on the car instead of two sit on tops on top of the car. I’m curious which kind of twig stove Matty has there? I’m a twig stove nut myself. Both fireboxes, solo lite and the emberlit. Also, which kinds of exercises would you recommend during the winter to strengthen the muscles needed for canoe paddling. We’ve been kayaking for a really long time so we have plenty of muscle memory for kayaking. Thanks again for taking us along. Take care. NQU
Thanks so much! 🙂 That's great to hear you and your daughters get out camping! Kayaks are great for big, open water paddling and you can get to some really cool places canoes can't take you. Although, you are right, its a bit easier to load a canoe, as well as portage it. Matty has the Ohuhu stove from Amazon. He ultimately upgraded to the Bushcraft Essentials stove as it has better air flow and compacts down smaller. We use it for the first time in my November Haliburton Highlands video. Which one of your stoves is your favourite? Matt is a huge gear nerd and is always looking at new stuff! 😅 The only reason I'm able to pick up a paddle in the spring is because I spend the winter in the rock climbing gym haha. I love climbing and doing that year round keeps me in decent shape. I'm sure your kayaking muscles will serve you well with a canoe paddle! Happy Adventuring! ✌️
@@rachoutside great to hear back! I’d say for backpacking I prefer the solo lite which is just a knock off of the bush buddy that robinet uses and for carcamping I like the emberlit. There is very little mess with the solo stove and it pairs very well with a trangia in case some backcountry sites aren’t allowing fires. I’m trying to get the hang of the firebox nano as it’s made in the usa. I’ve heard great things about the bushcraft essentials stoves. I’ll have to check out your video featuring that one. Well take care now.
Been through this area a couple times and love it there. Great video. 👍
Great video. I would think picnic tables brought in the winter behind snowmobile.
Last night I watched and enjoyed your most recent video so now I’m starting here and working my way forward 👍🏻
Awesome! Thanks so much, hope you enjoy 🙂
Love this...I recognize many of the spots. Was there this summer too.
Cool video. Great trek to a great Park. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. I know that some parks fly in porta potties they may fly in picnic benches to via helicopter :)
What brand pillow you use
I use the Nemo Fillo and love it! I've had mine for several years and its as good as new.
Just found channel - thanks for sharing! looking forward to catching up
Thanks Brian! I have some new adventures planned for this year and can't wait to get some more videos up 😄
The Portage from Rathburn to Serpentine was terrible. We did it in July on 32C day.. would not recommend. The rest of the Portage was beautiful though
That was great. Really fun to watch you two in action
