- When you do not have anything to eat except flour, you can still make very delicious dish. It is simple but very delicious.
Ingredient:
1. Flour
2. Water
Thank you for watching the video.
This is an authentic Indian traditional dish called 'Puri' and you can add only water to the flour and then fry the rolled dough to make delicious Puris & you can add stuffings of your choice as well. If you add curd/yeast/baking powder etc. to the dough and let it rest for a while and then fry the rolled dough, you get 'Bhatura' which are super delicious too and mostly enjoyed with Chole or other curries of your choice.
It's so nice to see an Indian dish on your channel & you did a great job at making these. It looks mouth watering. 😊
P.S. I didn't see the video properly and thought these were Bhatura. My bad, I corrected my mistake. 😉
"Puri" in georgian means "bread", and you also have a simple way to make bread this way in certain parts of the country, though the traditional way to make bread use an open circular oven!
Isn't it bhatoora??

Wow! it's so good to watch you cook an Indian dish. You really did a good job with the dish and it turned out so crispy. It looked so yum.
But these are actually "puri". :)
Bhatura looks like puri you made but it's dough is especially prepared by adding curd and other ingredients in the flour and is left for fermentation for around an hour and then the rest of the process continues like the puri you made.
I really like the videos you make and this one was special. So I just wanted share a bit of information about the dish. :) Love from India.
these simple recipes are really going to help all of us out. especially with the economy being the way it is around the world.
Yes, there are so many other simple, easy and delicious recipes in India. BTW this is an Indian dish called Puri. Do check it out!
As if this recipe is anything new...I eat this almost everyday lol
@@satadrubanerjee4862 think of it as an archive for these recipes!
It's a traditional Indian dish.. We enjoy it with curry and also some stuffing like spinach and a lot more variety..
Try it..
Do you add the stuffing and close the ball of dough around it, before frying?
@@kristin7146 off course dude.. Add stuffing close warp the dough around it and roll it into a bread... Then fry it
@@rajkumarpanchal1941 I am 100% making this later tonight, thank you!
@@kristin7146 all the best... Be careful while frying..
um you do realise that Indians aren't the one race to use flour like this right? Lots of cultures have recipes that are similar. People also make up their own recipes.
I never imagined you would prepare batura!!!! So well done.. do have with Chole. that combo is the bestttttt. Chole-Batura
This is Indian dish. If it is made by flour (occasionally cook) then it's call Puri (in Hindi language) or Luchi (in Bengali language) ~ and if it is made by wheat then its call Roti (in Hindi) or Ruti (in Bengali). So love from India. 💜😊
In Venezuela this is called "Torrejas" (with sugar on top) this is also the same dough used for what we call "Pastelitos" filled that dough with cheese, ham, meat, chicken, whatever you like and folded in the middle to make a half moon/circular form and fried them!
공갈빵 같아요

In Chile we do a similar recipe but we add smashed pumpkin (cooked of course) to the dough, it's called "Sopaipilla" and it's an street food, we eat them with ketchup or with a special spicy sauce called "pebre" in specials days. It's super popular and yummy, you should try it :>

gracias por la idea!!!
We also have this recipe in Argentina as a traditional one, it's called "torta frita" but we do one thing slightly different, we make a hole in the middle of the flattened dough, when you do this it doesn't inflate too much on the oil: is easier to eat and generate less crumbs, simple as that, just poke a hole in the middle like a flattened donut dough.
Yea it was originated frm INDIAN DISH POORI❤️😁

This is ' Bhatoora' in India🙂. Quite famous and kind of everyday breakfast in North India. Only difference is that we ferment the dough a little longer by adding sugar, curd etc. And eat it with 'Chole' that is a a spicy tangy chickpea curry. This is India's mouth watering irresistible ' Chole Bhature ' ☺️

I made this tonight, and, it came out very well!!! This was also my first time cooking like this.
A couple of tips: constantly pouring oil on the pita as it is frying will cause it to puff up like a balloon.
Also, if you’re using a gas stove, be sure to put the heat on medium, and not high… I put it on high as I was frying the first and second bread, and, the fire alarm went off, but, thank God nothing burnt! 😅 Just be careful if you are using a gas stove.
After frying, the results were as shown as what is shown in the video!!
The ingredients are something that are already in my moms’ kitchen, so this was a God-send!
I highly recommend you guys try this out, too! God bless you all!

Hello !
I was wondering, what gloves are you wearing in the video? Are they special gloves for cooking? Because they seem really practical especially when it comes to knead the dough.
This is a regular item in the Indian cuisine, called 'puri'. You can make this even with whole wheat flour.
You've made them so well! If it's too plain (just bread, after all) then you can have it with some pickles (the spiced ones, not gherkins) and a cup of tea. 👍
Are you an Indian? I'm an Indian and I have these in a similar way sometimes.
@@AS-zj7rd Haha yes! Nothing like some leftover puris with a cup of tea in the evening :)
It look so nice for diner thanks for your recipe
It's crispy heartwarming! This should receive some awards for world united homecooked recipe! ☺️❤️👍
Wow Indian puri beautifully made... 🇮🇳🇮🇳
🤣with the play dough part. Will try it out. 😁
what an entertaining, funny, well edited, quality yet simple recipe video. Thank you
This looks delicous and easy to make. Thanks for the recipe 😋
Isn't this more like a bhatura? Adding curd, oil and semolina and then 7 then 3 mins kneading after each respective stage and then 8 hours rest will do wonders, as it's supposed to be more softer and fluffy to scoop up the chickpea curry (fck im salivating just at the thought of it). It will turn out veeeery fluffyyyy.
Dish is called "chole bhature"
Chole as in chikpea, bhature as in the bread. You can look up recipes if you wanna try, if you search up that name
In India the Bengali's call it LUCHI it's a authentic dish and we eat it with Aloor Dum( potata curry) or Ghugni (A type of pulses) or sometimes even with Chicken curry and it's my favourite I used to eat it as Breakfast on every Sunday 😋😋🤤🤤🤤🤤
By what ever name you may call it, a Poori a Bhatura a torta frita Sopaipilla or a Pastel, the end result is an absolutely yummy and quick snack !!
You should cook chole with bhatura... it is really delicious....
It's favorite Indian food.
Yum,it worked very well,i can just now only eat these whenever i want too!thanks.
따라했는데 가성비 굳~
You really often pat and tap ingredients with spatula. You must love them : )
Nice video! This looks similar to 'pişi, bişi', a type of fried dough in Turkish cuisine. It fits well with white cheese and fresh tomatoes.
I absolutely LOVE when you "spank" the food. But when you made the face in the dough and stuck your fingers up it's nose I laughed out loud. I really enjoy your videos!
Great! Thank you for sharing.
ㅋㅋㅋ때릴때 찰진 소리가 나요ㅋㅋ
Nice sharing 👍👍👍👍
Puri!!! 😂 You can use various vegetables as its filling too, to notch up the taste.
