In 2020 my father went into coma for most of the year because he caught Covid. During these dark times L.Decks aired and it gave me my star trek comfort and cheered me up on top thx to his comedic tone LD is truly a special Trek series, one of the best! Thx to all the staff!🖖
This show is the show I watch to help me deal with my husband's passing in May 2023. I am devastated that Executives are shutting this show down. Shame on them. I want this show to go on forever. It is fantastic. One of my non-Trek friends wants to watch more Trek now because they love Lower Decks so much. Thank you Mike McMahan Cast and Crew for this beautiful show.
I maintain that Lower Decks has been the most Star Trek of all Star Treks, and that's a hill I will die on. Star Trek is at its finest, when it puts a critical lens on our own society, calling out the ridiculous and showing us that we can do better. Lower Decks does this for the Star Trek universe itself, making it a kind of meta-commentary. IMO, everyone involved in this show deserves every award possible.
Great show. Star Base 80 opens up a chance to play around with a lot more Star Trek series. Having T'pol really makes me want to see Trip brought back and a chance to see the Archer Enterprise get it's secondary hull on the little screen or maybe a live action big screen movie.
Trek is great because it gives us externalized extraterrestrial lenses to view ourselves through that mirror existence unmarried to current human culture. Jolene played Vulcan T’Pol onscreen in more episodes than Spock, and did so expertly as a full Vulcan. She was preceded in release order by Tim Russ’s even more extensive Vulcan portrayal. The character Spock continues in modern Trek and remains important in the collective zeitgeist. It’s been great to see T’Linn give us a new iteration, heavily inspired by T’Pol, and bringing in Jolene was a perfect choice to highlight this and honor the connection. As our first contact neighbors I hope each new Vulcan crew member will continue the legacy of being an inner light while avoiding the traps of self-reference and nostalgia pron.
tbh, this season overall felt a little meh compared to the last ones, but what a great finale! Strong finish. And I think it’s good time to wrap… they’re no longer Lower Decks, and it’s a natural end to their story.

Great interview. I would love to read the letters he sent to Jolene and the other cast.

Engage the CORE!
It would be easier to make a fanfilm in Lower Decks animated style for anyone.
Specifically with ai voice cloners and Chatgpt for scripts
