      @@Cmiro22544 Have you heard of Australia? All New York prepares you for is living in a city full of self-righteous, go getting assholes that occansionally want to shank you. Australia on the other hand is mostly a giant desert with things that can kill you during the day if you put your shoe without checking to see if a scorpion is in there. Totally different. Florida is the same thing, get alittle to close to the water and you may lose a leg to the gator or your house just gets destroyed in a Category 3 hurricane. I just read story today, that a mom in Florida watched her child get eatten by a gator in front of her in Florida. Florida heat is overblown...humidity, yes. Heat, I saw 108 in Charlotte...never seen 100 once in South Florida, and I've been here 22 years. In fact, Miami has only recorded one day where the temperature reached 100-plus degrees.
    That was on July 21, 1942 when Miami recorded 100 degrees. West Palm Beach reached 101 that same day. The National Weather Service in Miami said West Palm Beach hit 100 degrees on three previous days: June 20, 1921 July 2, 1927 July 3, 1927. If you want to talk hot. Phoenix, AZ at 122...that's hot. We don't get close to that.

      I agree. I think it depends on where you move to Tampa from. Someone moving from the northern most parts of the Northeast may not adjust as easily to the heat as someone moving from Central Georgia or South Georgia. The heat and humidity feel nearly the same by comparison except for the tropical breeze.

    He's not lying. I went to West Palm Beach and it literally rained rained rained and stormed and hurricane aftermath. I was at the library and a snake looked up at me. And people were not to friendly. And I was walking to the store one morning and literally the ground lifted up and we had to wait 15 minutes or so to get across the street. I wasn't use to that. Even though Florida has some nice homes and spots, it also has some factors people do not take into consideration. And the truth be told, this is anywhere in the US. You need to have a stable job or good income, not necessarily rich to live at least descent in some places in America.

    If you’re gonna move here get ready. Mid June temperatures are at 95 degrees (plus the humidity) makes it feel like 115 degrees. And I live by the beach with a beach breeze at least. Central FL is on a whole other heat scale. With temperatures at 100-110 and feels like 120 degrees. That’s just the beginning, our hottest months are July and August. Don’t come to Florida in December and say “wow this is the life. I’m moving everything to FL”

We have a 2200 square foot heated across home with no pool and we rarely pay more than $170 per month. Our home faces east/west and you can save more money by keeping the shades/blinds closed during the day while your working so the strong sun rays don't heat up your house/apartment.

    I thought your list might be a joke until you said you're here from Colorado. Pretty much everything you described is a nuisance for everywhere east the Mississippi river and as far north as New York. Even the lizards and gators go all the way up to VA. But FL has the beaches, keys, resorts, and warm winters. No comparison.

  • @xevious2501
    @xevious2501 3 роки тому +1

    1. Weather.. Yes it gets hot, BUT!!! in time you very much will get use to it. trust me! If your from the north (NY) like i was. Your simply not use to 'humidity' New Yorkers are very much familiar with heat, asphalt jungle, brick concrete buildings. we know heat, but humidity is what makes you sweat. and florida initially is like being in a sauna. But in time, especially if you bathe in the waters of the gulf.. the salt both in the tap water and inthe ocean clears out your poures which are naturally full of oils preventing your flesh from breathing. SO in the beggining yes you will sweat thru you clothes like a dog, bug over time it will stop, youl just tan up very dark. And the weather itself changes 2. lightning and thunder Yes, powerful storms amazing. power outages, not really a major concern, it happens every blue moon, not often. This guy really REALLY is a spoiled baby. 3. Erosion.. completely depends on where your at. 4. People.. well put it like this.. most people in florida are fine, its the people thats moving in thats the problem like this guy a baby complainer. Your moving into a new region dont expect it to conform to you!. 5.weeds..!!?? are you serious. Your in FLORIDA america's own little africa what more would you expect, and again depends on where you live. most place are well managed and maintained, why? because its a tourist state, which means most of it is kept up far better than most places 6. termite water.. again all depends on where you live. apparently this guy moved into a dump. and it takes ALOT for a place in florida to become a real dump. Florida's elements naturally protect itself against the elements. not the other way around 7. Florida a tourist state DUH!!! but theirs TONS of benefits inthis fact. Good eats cheap cost of living, venues galore. well kept cities, etc etc etc. its a state that caters to the well being of its visitors, that said, it can get really crowded. But its to be expected ever time to you look about you, your always on vacation because your living in a state built on vacation and retirees. 8. mosquitos. Now here a weird one. and Yes once again its all about where you are. some location in florida have bad mostiquoes, and no-see'ums. But truthfully Florida at least the places youd most travers is mostly devoid of mosquitos. YES!!! ironic, why? again because the state caters itself to tourism and has long taken car of the mosquito issue, but it also depends on where you are. if you not near such touristy areas You very well 'could' see and increase in mosquitos but i have to say. having lived in florida or over 20 years, its not something i ever even thought about because it rarely ever happened. And again. over time your flesh adapts to its environment and your scent changes thus you no longer give off the scent that attracts them. 9. Creatur comforts. Its florida again what did you expect. no place in the us has as many wild and exotic animals insects and creaturs. its freaking jurrasic park, on the land and in the sea. if you complaining they go back you whatever rock you crawlled of from, allergies yes, their is a heavy pollen season, but not that light stuff. im talking forest pollen, big yellow clunks to cover your car. neve effected me. just wipe it off. Masks, i get it, the place is nice, people want to naturally kick up their feet, but the mask issue is a problem. such nices places give the illusion that nothing bad can happen and it does. this is a problem with ALL nice places not just florida.
