OMG Thanks!! I' started doing that consistently, just about a month ago, then had to buy a new business suit, and bought my normal size, but the lady said the jacket was sizing bigger, so I got a smaller size for the whole thing, and the pants were bigger, in the smaller size! Thanks your accomplishment is amazing and inspiring at the same time!!! Kudos to you!!! and good luck to me! Julian has always made the most sense to tme, it took me doing keto, losing 25 AND GAINING BACK 35 TO SEE THE LIGHT... SMH ...

Same here, I'm down 28 lbs with minimal exercise. I try to aim for around 1500 a day but I have cheat days where I go over by 500 to 1000 every now and then (it's good to treat yourself sometimes) I really recommend calorie counting using my fitness pal, it takes a little while to get used to but you'll find yourself quickly dropping down clothe sizes and become more knowledgeable about managing calories and what foods you should eat each day. The best part about calorie counting to me is that even if I have a bad day and have some cake or something, I'm usually still at a deficiet since my cap is 1500 and I burn around 2500 on average each day. It's nice knowing that even if you mess up its not a huge deal and you can just get back on track the next day :) wishing you all the best of luck!!

    Hi Jillian,
I have been working with a trainer and am down 56 since July 2, 2021, total loss of 103.4 since Nov 2019. I am one of those on the 1200 calorie a day diet, eating 90g of carbs and losing significantly. No weight loss surgery either. Counting calories and working out is the only way to get it done! 😊
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in May 2021 with an A1c of 10.2. With change of diet and exercise I was down to an A1c of 5.1 in Aug 2021. To those out there, it can be done, don’t give up hope.

35 pounds in 2 months is actually extremely frightening. Most health specialists I've met recommend 2 pounds per week but you're losing a little under 4.5 and that raises some hardcore health flags for yourself that could damage your body.

Ive been counting calories and staying in a calorie deficient for 6 days now and Ive lost 6 lbs.... I have no restrcited myself I eat the most healthy I can but if I want a slice of pizza or soemthing I have it I just make sure to portion control and that it will fit within my daily calories. Pretty easy and its working great

You make perfect sense and you are so right about energy. This is the first time I hear someone use the word 'thermodynamics' in relation to weight loss. Congrats! You nailed it. I never hear the 'keto docs' explain this the way you do. Maybe it is not simple enough for those guys. I lost over 35 pounds in 8 months by eating 50% less calories. I eat anything, including carbs, but in reasonable quantities and it works. No refined sugars, no soda's, and absolutely no alcohol.

I am going to look at the numbers and see where I can cut back a little on the food and also add a little more time to my workouts. Seriously this was exactly what I needed to watch, I was really feeling discouraged. Thank you 🙂

It’s true. For the longest time I was cutting everything out on my diet, I’d lose the weight but I’d gain back when I cheated. And I would do whatever fad diet I could to avoid exercising, but Exercise was the key for me to lose weight.

The problem it is very hard to constantly count calories and weigh and measure your food. Very few people can do this for their entire lives. If you eat foods that are not calorie dense, 500 calorie per pound or less, you can eat until comfortably full, without over eating calories. This means fill your plate with unprocessed green and yellow vegetables, starchy vegetables (potatoes, quinoa, rice), and fruit. The unprocessed fibre and water in these foods are what make you feel full without having to count calories, and you won't exceed your calorie requirement for the day.

I formulated a diet keeping in mind all the information you gave and I have lost a lot of weight. Like I check the scale only twice a month, i.e. one in the beginning and one at the end of the month. I prefer seeing visible difference like my face looks thinner, my double chin becomes less, my shoulders feel tighter, my skin shows improvement, etc...its better to look at the visible result but obviously checking the scale does give motivation to carry on 😌

Madeline Neff just by looking at your profile picture you look like a young woman, if you gain weight by eating 1400 calories then simply put you are not burning enough calories, whether you have a slow metabolism naturally or not, I do think this is something you should ask your doctor about. 1400 calories is like cutting for many people. No way should you be gaining weight.

CICO absolutely works! I’m 58 and post menopausal and using CICO and MyFitnessPal, and an hour of gentle cardio each day I’ve painlessly taken off 10 pounds in a month. The long term benefit of using CICO is retraining yourself what and how much to eat. Just had knee replacement so I’m still eating my 4 300 calorie meals and a snack, and don’t expect to lose anything while I recover, but as soon as I can do weights and cardio again I’m all in! You may want to try some 24hr-5day water fasts once a month to help you reach your goals quicker, if you have a heart condition shorter water fast would have less impact on your electrolytes. Talk to your Dr. Next visit and see if that would help you. There was recently a article in the New England journal of medicine requarding the benifits of calorie restriction via fasting and the therapeutic value. Good luck on your journey.
