I’ve realized that I totally have to restrict my sugar and carb intake as I’m one that just can’t have a slice of pizza or a cookie or two. It’s like an addiction thus I’m now doing Intermittent fasting and really choosing foods that are healthy for my body vs foods that have empty calories. My sugar now comes from a piece of fruit. And I’m feeling soo much better. Thank you for your videos and information! 🙏❤️

Intermittent Fasting has been great for me. I started at 14:10 and am now at 16:8. Has really helped me control appetite, cut out sugars, increase water intake and am averaging 2lb a week weight loss. Thank you for discussing fruit, so many diets are against it because of the sugar but I will have a peach over a cookie any day. Thanks for the info and support. Love this and your app.

Okay Jillian you Totaline hit the nail on the head. For me sugar or eating sugar is more of a ritual thing to me then a mental thing. After a stressful week working at a crappy job dealing with crappy people every Friday or Saturday night I will get a pint of Ben & Jerry's and I will sit in my bed and watch Netflix and eat the entire thing. That said during the week I don't eat unhealthy food. I drink lots of water I don't drink sodas or juices or alcohol, I do not eat a lot of carbs, and I don't overeat as well. So to me having that one pint once a week after eating really good all week doesn't really seem that bad to me anyway. It's pretty much the only sugar I get all week long besides the creamer in my coffee

I LOVE this - I finally get it why I just cannot stop. It’s awful. When I was a toddler, I would eat so much candy at my grandparents’ house that I’d throw up bile and have dry heaves from it. That’s why I fully believe that sugar is the real gateway drug. I just have such a hard time stopping. The only way I don’t eat a pint of ice cream is by putting it down the garbage disposal after a serving and it requires all my willpower to do it. I’ve been doing about a month now of no sugar. It’s just what I have to do. And allllll of your tips REALLY work. Sooooo grateful today for fresh organic strawberries!! Berries are my favorite go to. Anyway, thank you. When I've tried to quit I've got really bad headaches and nausea. Feel a bit trapped! I'm about 5 stone heavier than my ideal weight, and I'm sure a lot of it is down to the sugar I'm drinking! Monk Fruit sugar is the best substitute around. It's a completely natural calorie free substitute that tastes exactly like real cane sugar. The only con is it's a little more expensive so it's good for coffee or tea and the occasional baked product. Shop around to find the best deal because prices do vary a lot. Costco can have great prices but you need to keep a look out for it.

I used to be completely vegan, right now I am mostly vegan and that balance is working best for me. I find that I need to always say "no" to sugary treats, it's too slippery a slope for me. A bit of sugar in something, o.k., there is often just a small amount of sugar in certain foods that are healthy.

I can be trusted to exercise daily, smoke, drink alcohol, not eat junk food (excluding the aforementioned biscuits) but I do struggle at the end of the day where my energy is low so I do dip into the biscuit barrel (which is also a kind of centering ritual) but I'm finding it's undermining my goal of banishing lovehandles forever. You look amazing and I want to do everything you say but I am always in pain uhhg. Oh and a hair tutorial please! Lol

Thanks for your share. I appreciate your ideas and advice. I have not had a cookie in 5 yrs, because they were definitely my Achilles heel, although I have other sugar addictions.

I find that if I have a piece of fruit at the end of almost every meal, I am not even interested in sweets. But it was harder to be in the throes of wanting sweets and trying to substitute with fruit. Much better to be proactive vs reactive with the fruit IMHO.

Would love more info about what to look for in a hypnotherapist. I would really like to try it for smoking and my definite sugar addiction 🍦🍪🍩

Love your to the point no nonsense videos. I have a question about spondylosis and chronic pain and exercise. I'm 52 now and find that my biggest fear is injuring myself further during exercise which results in procrastination for any type of exercise. Any suggestions on how to get out of my own mind and just get started..?

Sugar cravings are evil. Soda is my worst enemy. I've been weaning myself off of it with carbonated water, tea sweetened with honey, and drinking plenty of water. I've struggled with serious sugar cravings for a long time. It sucks. lol I'm pretty proud of myself because I just managed to ignore pizza, breadsticks, and soda. lol I rushed and made tea, got a glass of water and cooked some veggies that I mixed with some canned chicken instead. Funny enough, I lost the bread and sugar craving while I was making my food. It was quite surprising actually.
