The additional trackage SURE makes a difference when running long trains! Considering purchase of a Sunset 3RD steam engine. Would appreciate your opinion pros, & cons on these engines! These are expensive!!.Like to obtain at least one to add to my engine roster.
I have several 3rd rail, I like the ones from like 2006 and newer since they usually have tmcc and cruise in them. I like their detail a lot, no one is producing O scale with their level of detail. They can be delicate so handle with care. I’ve only had one issue so far on one locomotive. The speed control reader needed to be adjusted. Outside of that, I just make sure they are maintained. I have a couple with tmcc only from like 2002, they also run well but having inclines and declines I want to add an electronic railroad cruise board to them. Hope that helps! I reviewed a couple of them in the past on my channel.
Thanks for reply,& opinion! Have a CP D-10 in mind. will be running on a level surface only. Can engine be operated by transformer method ?@@Crazy4TrainsToysNHobbies
Looks terrific...opens up quite a bit without the mountain piece. The bridge is awesome also...and the supports seem to hold up well for the type of track you're using. My track is mostly Atlas. What's the brand of that bridge support system ? Thanks Mike 👍
Those are MTH universal piers. Where it crosses the track there are two long strips of balsa wood painted black and screwed to the track. Works like a trestle bridge we have close to my house. 👍
I love what you're doing with your layout Mike, it looks fantastic.
Thank you very much. 👍
Like the Pennsylvania coal drag Mike.
Thanks Hunter
Looks good Mike
Thank you

Mike.... question what are the overall dimensions of your layout benchwork ....
21.5’ x 8’ x 38” tall to the table top
Those dimensions JUST THE RIGHT SIZE!@@Crazy4TrainsToysNHobbies
