This is absolutely lovely, but without a planer, 2-3 routers, a table saw and $100 worth of clamps plus a flat huge workbench; unobtainum for me. Plus the pipe bender! The design I'm working up today uuses similar brass bars, but they are straight across the face of the rack. I was debating going with 3mm or 2mm rod.
A PRACTICAL spice rack, not a carpenter's show piece, great job! Might have to fit a third rod near the top, because the top will soon become an extra shelf lol!
Very nice spice rack! Simple as a spice rack should be, but with the handcrafted appeal that you added with fingerjoints and the brass rod. I've used brass and wood in many things I've made and I really love it! Great work and editing!
Great video. Easily saved me a lot of time versus how I thought I would do it. I’m finnda make a bunch of scraps look good and a bunch of walls look very busy. 4:31
"mirror hangers, use them all the time and have never hung a mirror with them" 😂😂Hahahahahaha😂😂 it's usually the way... Fantastic looking spice rack, mate. 👍🏽 Things must be coming along nicely in your home, you've certainly done a fair bit of work. 👌🏽
Nicely done once again Matt 😁. Always Enjoy your quick projects 👍. Think you should make a mirror frame next.... Just so you can finally use the hangers for there namesake 😁. Keep up the great vids 😁👍.

I like the totally flat finish provided by the usual chalk paint, but it's too fragile. I happened upon a Ronseal product called 'Chalky' which is a robust dead flat finish, needing no waxing. Originally bought for my wife's craft item rotary display 'tree' it proved successful. Used the surplus on the workshop furniture .... Also built a bedside table finished in Ronseal 'Chalky' Dove Grey : it's holding up well. I used FLOETROL conditioner to allow it to be rollered on.
I also thought using a metal rod as the spice jar stop would be a nice look and it is. By the way, your drill has a nice light and was wondering what brand you have?
I would have enjoy much more this video if my pc wasnt shutting down every two minutes ( i think the cooler broke down and gets very warm ) . For sure i would love the spice rack in my kithcen and i really like those first 3 jars on top !!!!!!!!!!!!

Que capricho!
I was getting a bit worried there that there that you wouldn't use any brass rod!
It really does look great with the oak!
I did not want to disappoint
Nice spices rack matt 👌 . Man you get the same amount of viewers in just a half hour. As i get in 2 hours 🤪🤘
Thank you. It all takes time to build up numbers
@@Badgerworkshop and you get the same amount of views in an hour that I get in two weeks! Keep up the good work Matt!

Really nice, but routering your dove tails really Matt, what's the hurry, cut them by hand yes it take time but all worth it.
Keep up the good work.
They are not dovetails they are box joints.
