So Mark was in a Korean variety show called It's Dangerous Beyond the Blankets (With Kang Daniel and a few other celebs). During one of the eps, he was cooking himself eggs for breakfast, and as you can guess, it was a disaster. A fan took a screenshot of the eggs and tweeted it out to Gordon Ramsay asking him to rate her boyfriend's eggs. Gordon's response was "Get back on tinder" and this interaction was really what launched the whole Mark and Eggs joke lmao. Later, in the NCT 2.0 variety show, there was even a whole section where he had to challenge himself by making 23 fried eggs lmfao (since there are 23 members). So him writing a whole song about not being able to make eggs and even namedropping Gordon Ramsay is HILARIOUS! Like Mark once said "My relationship with eggs goes deep" and I still think that's one of the funniest things I've ever heard 😂
