happy 2024 friend! i can't believe it's a new year already. i am so grateful you chose to begin it with me.
i wanted to do a fun little self-care/glow-up vlog to ring in the new year. the end of 2023 was so busy for me that i really needed to take some time for myself and relax. so what better way to do so than a little glow up week hehe. aside from the physical, i took some time to reflect and plan out my goals and dreams for the year to come. hopefully some of these ideas help you visualize your own goals!

Also, thanks for the goal setting inspiration. I started a separate bullet journal just for my mental health and self care. I put my 2024 goals in the front, so every time I open my journal it’s front and center.

I'm literally 5 months behind on your videos but just came here to wish everyone a very *Happy New Year!*
Through your videos I've started to see the value in romanticizing my life. Experiencing joy from the little things like pretty clouds or wholesome interactions between strangers. Lately it's been tough since a lot of things haven't been going to plan and I've been stressed out and grumpy often because of that. Not to mention the weather has been awful here and it feels like I haven't seen the sun in months.
Now I'm kinda glad past me has made it so that I have many videos to catch up on. You and PlanD are my favorite vlog channels and your videos are so aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. So all of that to say: thank you for helping me to find joy and beauty in my perfectly ordinary life. And thank you for spreading your joy when I'm having trouble finding my own.

Happy New Year! One easy tip to make gravy, instead putting dry flour, mix flour with water (doesn't have to be a lot but depends on the amount of flour you put in) and then just add flour water mixture and cream at the same time on the pan. If it ends up too runny, let it simmer little bit longer and the water will evaporate. This will prevent lumps of flour and also be faster, talking from experience. 😆

it's the silliest thing, but your videos always inspire me to live more authentically. just recently I finally bit the bullet and bought a phone charm. it's such a non-thing, but I'm always super nervous to express myself and a phone charm, though I always really wanted one, felt super unnecessary or "cringe". but watching your videos always give me courage to just go out there and be myself. so thank you for helping me be brave enough to finally get that phone charm I wanted

ahhhh this was so fun to watch. your videos have literally become part of my self care routine. one of my goals for 2024 is a variety of physical+mental self care, I'm using an app right now for face yoga, returning to regular muscle workouts, trying to eat healthier, on the physical side of things. for the mental, instead of setting resolutions I made a "what's in for 2024, what's out for 2024" list. I'll keep that I like, and the things I don't like, I'm doing away with and not taking with me in the new year. One of the mental goals (that I completed TODAY, and it's only January 2nd!!! ahhhh!) was getting rid of 2 big bags of goodwill donations (mostly filled with "keepsakes" from ex-friends that just served as painful reminders of cruelty and lies, and I did NOT want that energy in the new year with me!) so those got YEETED, *AND* I rearranged my whole apartment to (try) and follow feng shui rules and already I feel so improved and relaxed. Speaking of: I cannot wait to see your new apartment!
