My friend who was part of the first nuclear pebble bed program was so disappointed when Mr Mbeki stopped the program.... South Africa missed out on the opportunity to have their first black nuclear Engineers....

@jam-fam he's talking about the first run as he says, Mbeki may have been behind it at that point and stopped it obviously due to WMC pressure, Zuma reintroduced it and as we know WMC dealt with him too.

@@jam-fam You are lying. The Pebble-bed nuclear reactor was ready for implementation by the de Klerk administration. Mandela and Mbeki had to give a go-ahead. In 2006 Mbeki cancelled the project. This was before Zuma became ANC leader, before Montlante became caretaker President

Your passion is exicting, keep going. On the nuclear power stations, treasury argued that SA would need about R1 trillion to build these power stations and South Africa cannot afford this amount. It would have been great if you could prove otherwise. At this point it sounds like you're driving a narrative.
So with all the minerals which South Africa has, you believe it is a poor country and can't afford?
