All this time, and it's still never missed a beat. And I have literally used this very knife to scrape decades old linoleum off of 100 year old hard wood. The sliciest no, but it's still one of the most used tools in my toolbox.
    Enjoy.

Ordered my first Pro-Tech yesterday. It's the CQC7 model. CQC7. Mine is the KnifeCenter exclusive with the button side scale in black and orange micarta. I don't like aluminum scraping against my keys. I have 2 regular Emerson's, a CQC8 and a mini Commander. I've always wanted a CQC7 and a Pro-Tech so I'm killing two birds with one stone here. Great review! New sub.

In so glad i watched this because I was going to buy this knife. now that I see that its only sharp on one side, I will have to go back to the drawing board to find my first automatic

I've had a halfbreed for about 3 years, not a single issue with that knife. I've got to sharpen it by now, I never have. I used it straight out of the box, now I'm looking for a bigger blade 😁

Kudos to you! You’ve got way more guts than I do attacking that floor with that knife. But it took it and still looks brand new. Think I’ve got to get one.

never liked chisel grinds, but you cant deny, in certain situations, nothing is better.

Tri-State, you are a bright guy, maybe you can help me out on this one. The Emerson design, has a hook on the base of the blade spine. Normally, the hook catches the top of the pants pocket, thus deploying the blade quickly when drawn. What function does it serve in the Pro Tech automatic? Seems like tits on a boar hog. Maybe the PT deleted the hook. I'll go back and check. My bad, no hook tit.

Right. The Emerson wave. It's really only on this auto version for aesthetics (to match the original design) and it acts as a nice thumb rest in hand.

What's with the 70s porn soundtrack? The music has got to go.

Maybe not the best soundtrack choice, but I hope you've kept watching... The music is custom tailored to each knife in the videos now. Cheers.
